Loomi recoiled as the lightning was pulled back to her, singing her hands even more so. Her hands swelled with pain, enough to where render them near paralized. They writhed with pain, unresponsive to any attempt that she made to get them to work. It was hopeless. All she could do was watch as the woman siezed both Aliris and the other girl, Tessa.

"Please don't hurt them..." Loomi pleaded.

It was all she could do now.

Braze's instincts sharpened by the escalating problems, reacted swiftly to Alina's aggressive move. As she lifted Tessa and Aliris by their throats, his protective nature surged to the forefront. His hand instinctively moved towards his training lightsaber, ready to defend his friends against the imminent threat.

"Let them go," Braze demanded his voice laced with anger as he lunged towards Alina's flank. His movements were swift and aggressive, reminiscent of a fierce little dog in the heat of battle. Despite his spirited effort, it was very evident that he was out of his depth in this confrontation with Alina. He grappled with the challenge of engaging her effectively, aware that his saber, set to a non-lethal power level, could inflict only burns, bruises, and welts.

Braze maneuvered with a protective instinct, keeping his injured wrist close to his chest as a shield while he tried to intervene. His actions, though seemingly futile against Alina's superior strength, were driven by a deep desier to protect his friends.

Meanwhile, Tessa, caught in Alina's iron grip, fought desperately for her freedom. She clawed at the hand wrapped around her throat, her survival instincts kicking in. Her legs kicked out in a frantic attempt to break free, doing her best to resist and escape Alina's hold.

Braze charged, and Alina stared in disbelief.

With relative ease she protected herself. Using Tessa as a shield to intercept his strikes. It'd likely only take one before he realized how terrible of an idea it was. Especially since her struggling didn't seem to have an effect on the vicelike grip currently around her throat. Tessa was, ultimately, inconsequential to the Sangnir. "You seem to think this is a situation where I won't kill them." Aliris herself struggled, but the unnatural fear that had filled her heart was only making her panic. There was no calm, no real way for her to focus on the Force and try to actually fight back.

"I expected more, Jedi."

Her eyes widened as she watched Alina turn her wrist. The crack sounded hollow in her ears as Alina broke Tessa's neck before casually tossing the body towards Braze. "I don't need this shell alive to get what I want, but it will make it more difficult. Stop getting in my way, and she will at least live. You prioritize keeping people alive, right? That's your thing as Jedi? Well, that's what it's supposed to be anyway."

Aliris chocked back a sob as she found Alina's red eyes focused on her again. Her now free hand reached out to touch her forehead. "Stop struggling, and it will be over. I just want the First."

Braze's charge, fueled by a desire to protect, came to an abrupt and horrifying halt as Alina effortlessly turned the situation to her advantage. Using Tessa as a human shield, she thwarted Braze's attack, leaving him in a state of shock.

Realizing the gravity of his mistake, Braze's heart sank. The sight of Tessa, struggling helplessly in Alina's vice-like grip, was not an easy sight to endure. His resolve faltered as he tried to assess the peril Tessa was in, her life hanging by a thread in the hands of a merciless foe.

You seem to think this is a situation where I won't kill them."
"I expected more, Jedi."

Braze's eyes widened in horror as he watched Alina brutally break Tessa's neck with a chilling crack, then callously toss her body towards him. The reality of the situation hit him like a physical blow, the weight of his actions and their consequences crashing down upon him, along with Tessa's form.

Braze, was reeling from the shock, caught Tessa's lifeless body, his mind racing with guilt and grief that over whelmed him in the moment, having dropped his saber to catch her form. Alina's threat to Aliris, using her as leverage, only added to the turmoil th he was feeling grow exponentially.

Aliris's choked sob broke through Braze's shock, pulling him back to the grim reality of their situation. Alina's focus on Aliris, her intention to use her for some unknown purpose, was a clear and presented danger, Aliris seemed terrified and he didn't know what to do or how to help. He felt truly useless as he moved to try and ease Tessa's form off of himself.

"I don't need this shell alive to get what I want, but it will make it more difficult. Stop getting in my way, and she will at least live. You prioritize keeping people alive, right? That's your thing as Jedi? Well, that's what it's supposed to be anyway."
"Stop struggling, and it will be over. I just want the First."
He froze in place uncertain of what to do or if there was anything he could do. He didn't want Aliris to end up hurt or worse and he didn't believe he could even trust the vile woman before him but really... what choice did he have? He gave a shaky leering glance towards Alina and raised a hand palm up and outwards presently disarmed.

"Don't hurt her."
Braze seethed in a low growl as he set his green eyes on to Alina. He didn't fore once continue to say what he intended and left it at that.

Loomi was paralyzed.

Her hands were singed, her constintution had been completely rattled, and now Tessa was dead. It hardly mattered how terrible and spiteful the girl had been upon their meeting. She didn't deserve that. Nobody did. Now there was nothing more that they could do. Any more action and Aliris could be dead just the same. Loomi couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. She had done everything that she could, and yet it was all pointless. She really couldn't do anything, could she?

Everything always wound up hopeless in the end.
