Amilthi Camlenn
Meditation Junkie
Her hair still damp, Amilthi strolled into the cockpit just moments before the ship dropped out of hyperspace. She remained standing behind the co-pilot seat and watched as they neared the orange gas giant in she didn't know what system. She smiled briefly when Marina turned the ship around so that it came into full view above them. The swirls of different shades of orange and brown, mixed with the occasional tinge of purple even, were a beautiful sight.
Suddenly, a small spot glistened above the horizon of the planet, which moments later the sensors would reveal to be a ship. It wasn't huge, but slightly larger than the Mariner, and looked to be an armed freighter or gunboat of some sort. It must have been on the other side of the planet and was in a similar high orbit, but moving in the other direction, approaching rapidly.
Moments later, the ship hailed them. A voice spoke that sounded human. "This is border control. Stabilise your orbit and prepare to be boarded for inspection. We apologise for the inconvenience, but there have been a lot of smugglers lately."
Amilthi smirked scoffingly at this ridiculous ruse. She looked at Marina, still with amusement in her eyes.
