A Splash of Freedom

if they're watching anyways
There was a certain feeling of excitement that came with moving in a little car and relatively low speed. Especially since Auteme got to compete with her father... well, that wasn't the point, it was just a nice bonus. Her heart was racing -- she'd never driven anything in her life, so this was a good start. She'd need to study how her Force sensitivity played into skill in speeder and go kart racing. For now, though, she just wanted to beat her dad for the next lap.

She was forced to stay just behind him for most of the second lap. She didn't have a starting advantage anymore, so she just stayed close for most of the lap, practically touching the back of Josiah's car. As the lap came to a close she slowed just barely before attempting the same move as him; edging past at the very end of the lap. She wasn't quite as successful -- the two carts were now neck and neck as the final lap began. Competition!

It was just meat.

The Wolf knew that tone all too well. It was the numb tone of disappoinment that came from sinking one's fangs into something subpar. It was the sound of one thinking a cookie was chocolate chip, only to discover raisins. The sound of one discovering that their cranberry sauce was in fact beets. Seren had fallen victim to culinary disappointments before and, as such, shook his head with a light chuckle. "Well, that won't do. We should get you an actual pastry." As the words formed and fell from Seren's lips, he was completely unaware of just how uncomfortable the interaction was making the Spider.

In the rear of his mind, he was keenly aware that the day was a stark contrast to what she had grown accustomed to. Yet, in the moment, it felt as easy as breathing to simply treat her as more than the larcenist under his heel. The sin she committed seemed so fleeting and so far away in the moment. Nonetheless, the option of moving forward with the locale's festivities danced upon her tongue. Willow mused quietly for a moment before meeting his gaze and remarking that she didn't know what the spa was. Yet, with but a push of her legs, she rose to her feet.

"The spa house is designed for relaxation." he began, taking the lead as bid. "Specifically, you have the sauna, which is a steam bath more or less. A wide variety of massages. And I'm certain they have hot tubs as well." There was not much more to say beyond this as she had specified a starting point. As they drew near, the Wolf did add: "The sauna, also, entails stripping down and sitting in a steamed room. Are you fine with that?"
