"I had the pleasure of encountering your Mistress some time ago..." he answered with cryptic sarcasm, tensing as the young lad hovered his hand over the saber. Trayze remained as placid as possible, having learned from past that the wrong sort of twitch could turn a cornered youth into a furious assailant - add to the mix that this youth was a Padawan safeguarding some manner of trinket that Trayze somehow hadn't sensed during his occasional ventures.

A pulse thrummed between the trio for a moment, as the area itself seemed to take a sharp inhale before something happened.

"Since yer just leavin'..." He cocked his head. "You aware that your friend of yours-" he noted the Enchani. "has somethin' he wants ta' share with someone? Maybe it's you." He gives a sly shrug. "Or are ya helpin' a fella out pick a Lifeday Present."

Trayze hadn't given a mynock's minge about fighting a Padawan - but even he wasn't lazy enough to let something that had been under his nose and within spitting distance of the Kainate without some questions. Trayze gave an aura of rote determination - one born from far too many routine questionings that didn't care who he was speaking to.

"Many people have met my Master in this galaxy, it just depends on what reason"

The majority were for good reasons, while the few were trying to either kill her. He hoped it was the first, but considering the way he had acted and the dark energy surrounding him it was beginning to look like it was the latter. The environment around them also seemed to act strange in his presence, one that was indicated by what felt like a sharp inhale. Silas didn't react to the brief change for now and instead kept his eyes on the stranger as he continued to talk.

"It is not for me or you to decide when he chooses to speak. If he wishes to share something, he will do it in his own time." he said back to him calmly, knowing full well the kid wasn't telling him the full story. Valor didn't need to say anything if he didn't feel comfortable, as long as he was safe that's all that mattered to Silas.

"If you are after something I'm afraid it has already been taken. Will you continue asking questions, or will you finally allow us to pass without any further judgment?" Silas asked with a more stern tone this time, not wanting to drag the kid into a needless battle.

<"If he tries anything run to my ship, you will know where to find it by going straight west from here. It is not too far away."> the knight warned telepathically <"I may have just met you, but I'd rather take the chance and let you retreat unhurt. I trust you kid">

"Hey mate, next time you go for a shave, yeah? Stand a few inches closer to the blade, aye?"
This abrupt interjection garnered a practiced and bemused smirk from the Kiffar, he would counter with the newcomer's own length of hair being a liability in battle - but that would be the pot calling the kettle black. Instead, he refocused onto Westegard, as this one was the most immediate threat, Padawan or no.

"Ah'm afraid tha' it's my job to ask questions." Trayze gave a bit of a shrug, then cocked his head, snapped his fingers in realization. "Oh! Mind if Ah reach into my pocket? It'll help explain why Ah'm so inquisitive... no, it's not what yer thinkin'." Despite being the cousin of the Lord of the Tsis'kaar, Trayze himself wasn't an Inquisitor. He was, as of now, far too agnostic to buy into the promulgation of cults - but what shimmered in his hand was well earned and his own. "Trayze Tesar, Lieutenant Inspector of the Sith-Imperial Public Peacekeepers, Fleet-Captain Under Marque of Lord Xyrah's fleet, Acolyte of the Sith, yadda yadda yak-yak." Despite the pride evident in his aura, the Sith Acolyte kept a casual aura, acting as if he didn't just smell the brief telepathic interlude between the two of them - not quite catching the words, but understanding the intent well enough.

"Reason Ah ask so many questions is ta' determine whether or not yer in trouble." He turned to the pale haired gentleman, with a smile. "You, no offense, are not on my radar." Of course, that sentence had the unspoken interjection of "yet" before he continued, refocusing on young Westergard. "But when the apprentice of the Jedi Grandmistress goes stompin' 'round - especially in light of... recent events, well..." his gaze hardened at the padawan. "It's my job to know."

Another beat, another silent assessment. The Sabacc cards clenched in the unseen grasps of each Force user present, eyes narrowing, faces slackening to hide whatever stratagem they intended to deploy. "So Mister Westergard, what makes you think you can jus' walk outta 'ere willy-nilly?"
