A Transitional Endeavor

Lately Seraphina had been leaving many of the affairs and day-to-day operations under the express guidance of her trusted board of directors. The newly built plant located on Nickel One was operating well, and overall the company was stable, growing, and prospering. That being said, however, Sera had relinquished her association with the Republic's Jedi Order, and thus, much of her time was spent abroad, outside of Republic space, making it difficult to perform her duties as CEO of Nubia Star Drives in much of any capacity.

The girl had heard of an interested party who may be willing to take on the role of CEO in her stead, allowing Sera the ability to sell her shares in the company, and to take that profit and potentially construct a new company with a more focused agenda. What she didn't yet know, but she knew that at this time, heading up a company that designed ships primarily for the Republic's war effort was not something she could easily manage anymore.

Tålamod was not exactly a businesswoman by any means. Nubia StarDrives hardly had any relevance as a corporation to her except that it provided the Republic with spacecraft as any truly loyal and patriotic organization should be obliged. However, she assumed that strategy and tactics were relatable to business. That happened to be her forte, after all.

Whether she belonged anywhere outside the command bridge of a star destroyer was entirely debatable, though. Not known for her social cognizance, Admiral Shapochka was diagnosable as 'challenged'; emotionally and perceptively limited. And it was quite arguably the case. But one thing was for sure: she was dedicated to the Republic, and she could manage entire fleets with great precision. If she could do that, then certainly she could at least provide enough of a guiding hand for a shipwright that would only help to enhance her fleet in the long run--and thereby enhance the Republic's ability to reassert its righteous state.

Strangely to her, the character who had contacted her about exchanging directive roles was known to be a former member of the esteemed Jedi Order. Not that Toli cared, but the facts were interesting enough.

The clop of her boots echoed across the expanse of the landing bay as the Admiral of the Revelation Fleet arrived in her Lambda-class shuttle, her Imperial leanings quite evident in her preferred mode of transport. This Republic as a Republic of many colors. Including this particular admiral--half-Miraluka. Her colorblind, icy blue eyes detected the woman of her inquiry and strode forward without delay and without a word in greeting.

Seraphina heard that a shuttle had arrived in the hangar. The only thing on her agenda for the afternoon was a meeting with [member="Tålamod Shapochka"]. So as the woman trotted her way through the twin glass doors to her office that overlooked the river behind the massive complex without so much as checking in, the receptionist outside of Sera's office came running in behind the woman, shouting that she hadn't been cleared to enter and apologizing to Sera for the interruption. "I'm sorry Miss Shel'tah! I will call security and have this woman removed immediately!"

The Twi'lek raised a hand and smiled. "It's alright Kerri. I believe this is Admiral Shapochka of the Republic. We've arranged a meeting, security won't be necessary, but thank you." The woman nodded and turned to their guest. "My apologies. Enjoy your stay, admiral." She then turned and exited the office, closing the door quietly behind her as she returned to her desk.

Sera hadn't been in the loop of things as far as the military was concerned for some time, though she did recognize the woman as one of the leading faces of the Republic's forces now. "Please, have a seat! We've much to talk about."

Toli had never really understood social process, and she felt slightly confused about the receptionist's reactions to her unannounced march to Seraphina's office--though it was understandable from a security standpoint. She supposed she was just too accustomed to the order and duties within the confines of a star destroyer. Perhaps she should try to take some shore leave here and there and venture out into the real galaxy on occasion. Then again, her parents had always discouraged her. The doctor had claimed that she did not have the capacity to handle it. Was the doctor wrong?

"I'm sorry," she said to the pink Jedi before her. The admiral did not intend to take a seat until Seraphina suggested so, military protocol determining her actions like it was DNA-coded into her cells.

Hands clutched together and placed atop the desk, the crystal-eyed woman awaited the summary of why she was here. "Business is not my specialty, no." Maybe that was not the way to start this out... Her mind began spinning for more 'tactical' initiation. "But I know what is needed for the Republic fleets."
