A Very Dusty, Backwater Detail (Open to Pubs)

"Lock it down Jun." Jaelin quickly one-offed. He wasn't exactly comfortable with the Jedi taking charge, and honestly, it did sting a bit. At the same time; he didn't mind sending a man in ahead of him. It might just save him a good beheading. "Just let the man work." He added quietly, though he gave the Amaran a look that said all the things Rox would have likely wanted to hear.

Levinsky stayed silent through the little confrontation, and instead swept on down the stairs, rifle raised. Jaelin follow close behind, and motioned for the other two to do the same. They came out into a the large circular room; lined with empty shelves and a shattered holoterminal in the center of the room. It seemed to be what might have once been a library picked clean, or an old classroom.

"Not a fan of this." Jaelin grumbled under his breath as he swept his weapon across each shelf. He and Levinsky came to the center of the room, and something growled. Something deep, guttural, and feral.

"Leave." A voice hissed down one of the hallways breaking off from the library room. "Leave and never return!"

The flare suddenly went out, and the room fell back into inky blackness. Jaelin cursed under his breath and flicked the lamp attached to his rifle on. The pale white light shot down toward the hallway--just in time to make the two massive Tuk'ata at its entrance visible. They both barked, and darted off into different directions in the room. Levinsky quickly flipped on his own lamp.

"Dogs...tighten up or they'll pick you off." He almost whispered.

The sound of paws scratching against the floors could be heard; both circling the group. The Tuk'ata were likely somewhere near the shelves. The two rifleman turned this way and that, trying to catch the beasts in the light of their lamps, but to no avail.

Vala Melina

Jedi...Eventually
The look of surprise was evident on the Jedi Master's face though Vala wasn't surprised. She was something of a recluse before she became a Padawan and she hasn't personally met Jedi [member="Antares Windu"]. She only knew of him from his actions during the Battle of Coruscant. Before she could introduce herself however the Sergeant basically told the Jedi Knight off about rank structure, making her shrink back a little. When the fox looking Sergeant mentioned something about the Jedi's ignorance of G.A.R rank structure she winced. She knew it, her mother was in the military and Vala made it a point to remember it. Being a Jedi she'll be fighting along these soldiers one day after all. Vala thought Master Windu was addressing the Sergeant. Turned out not to be the case.

Luckily First Sergeant Nekovich stepped in to shut down the problem. If must have hurt a little. She remembered how she felt when the First Sergeant referred to her as Master Jedi. She didn't earn or deserve the title and, while slightly flattering, it just plain felt wrong. She agreed with Sergeant Jun but now there was a mission to focus on.

Vala followed the group near the back. It wasn't like she was scared (okay slightly) or anything but she was easy to forget about. The Jedi Enclave taught her that. They entered into what looked like a library though there didn't seem to be a single book in sight. A look of confusion crossed her face. She was a frequent at the library at the Temple and this simply looked off. Suddenly a voice howled from one of the hallways. Instantly her sword was in her hand as she looked to the direction it came from. First Sergeant [member="Jaelin Nekovich"] turned on his light to reveal two massive Tuk'ata in the passageway shortly before they took to the shadows. He ordered them to stay together as they tried to search for them. The scrawny Padawan stood next to Sergeant Jun as she tried to open her senses to the Force but darkness and malice overwhelmed her feeble skills. She stood in a Djem So stance, ready for them to take her on.

Antares allowed the Sergeant to let loose upon him while he descended the stairs. He remained silent throughout and then finally, before they had gotten to the chamber at the bottom of the steps, he said, "I apologize to you, Sergeant. But surely you'd understand that I'm not in the military and the rank bars must have slipped my mind." He said with a tone that spoke otherwise. "Anyways, I wasn't looking at you when I had made my request." He finished and then they had gotten to the bottom of the stairs.

"Since Jedi are not Generals, neither of you outrank me for the fact I am not apart of the military." He explained to [member="Rox Jun"] and then he stopped, when one of the troopers started speaking. It was the one who had mediated the situation before he had replied, [member="Jaelin Nekovich"]. "Relax, First Sergeant." He said while he hefted his lightsaber with both of his hands, clenching the cylindrical object just as the voice of the Sith spoke.

Then there were two massive Tuk'ata shown in the light. He frowned and he let his right hand target one of the tukata's and then they were gone. They were running around them and the Jedi Knight's frown only deepened while their formation tightened in the centre of the room. "He won't let us run either way, fight or die." He stated obviously and there was the faintest hint of a smile in the corner of his mouth. "Shoot at the other one." He said slowly, and then he leapt straight for one of the tuk'ata, letting the Force propel him faster and further.
