Alexandra slowly stood as her body twisted and turned before looking at him, laughing as she slowly walked forward with her staff dragging on the ground. Slowly her laughing grew louder, then her body became faster, and her aura became darker as she drank in her pain, her hate, her rage. And soon she steapped down hard before shooting forward and aiming blow after blow at him. Right arm, left arm, right leg, left shoulder, right shoulder, left leg, jab, repeat, shuffle. Change the pattern, slow it down, speed it up, everything she did had no plan except for a singular one. Confuse, overwhelm, and disarm.

Vulpesen watched her, feeling the darkside crowd around her. Of course, he managed to be one of the jedi who never learned force light. As he quick strikes started, he moved his own blades to intercept. Such was the disadvantage of a staff in that when one end's location was known, the other was known by default as well, especially if your opponent used a similar weapon. Despite her random strikes, his mind focused completely on his defense as his arms weaved a protective orb to intercept the strokes. "The sith will fall. And I will see it done!"

"You can try, but your order is falling too, perhaps we will both die in this then." She spun and tried to drive her staff into his side, the motion quick and controlled as her abilities flared up and she tried to quicken up her body beyond stopping. Of course she probably would not be able to twist a blow her saber into Vulpesen's sids, but she is not quite as simple minded as that, her smile growing wider.

I watched her pole come forward, aiming for my side. This was gonna hurt, but I had to do something to stop her. I summoned the force and brought it through my body, using it to brace as if I were falling on my side on the entrance of any other mission. As the weapon slammed into my side, I brought an arm down over it to pin it in place while my hand wrapped around its surface. A loud snarl ripped from my throat as I felt a small crack form in my ribs.To say it was painful would be an understatement. Pain is adrenaline, adrenaline is power. I tightened my grip and yanked her towards me, aiming to send my phrik mask into her head.

She smiled at first, until he pulled her closer and slammed his mask into her face. Now he was going to die as her hand found her bleeding forhead she screamed and her hand that still held onto the staff burst lightning down the shaft and up into Vulpesen's body through his arm, the lightning causing his nerves to tense and his grip to get worse on the staff, leaving the lightning to continue on into his body without the bond being broken.

Vulpesen's eyes widened significantly as the shock ran through him. Pain surrounded his being and every plan disappeared. He opened his mouth again and the light of a jedi became tainted. Fury and pain mixed together as he howled in agony, assaulting Alexandra once again with its force, only this time there was pain and anger to accompany the will to protect,t he three mixing into a cocktail to empower it even further. As his pain worsened, so did the force howl aimed point blank at her head.

Alexandra pushed her own abilities in Telekinesis as best she could, one hand channeling the lightning, the other the barrier, until finally she broke it and her entire body flew back once more before slamming into a tree, one of the ones she had caught fire too, her head bleeding heavily as she stared up to him, then in a moment a different alex was seen, the pure one. "Why Vulpesen... why..." Her chest started bleeding, her body catching on fire, as her voice and the voice of a crying baby where her, screaming as the fire consumed them and Vulpesen would find the scene go dark, nothing there but a black darkness.

A voice talking to him, whos voice he would never be able to find out. "You failed and killed her, the only person you care about, and when it happens again, can you stop it?"

His eyes widened as he heard Alexandra's voice, his Alexandra. It hurt to see her like that. Suddenly, every memory kicked in, every memory of that path he hadn't taken and it crushed him all at once, the baby's scream being what broke him to tears. "I-I'm sorry." Through his tears he looked up to face her burning form. He wanted to say how much he wanted too save her, explain his actions in defending the peace and lives of others but as the darkness closed around him, he felt as though he was falling. "I have to... I WILL!" The last two words were accompanied by him bolting up in the bed, his saber swirling from his bedside into his hand while the red blade ignited in the darkness, joining golden glow of his eyes, and the blue light of Ace's fur. "I will... I will..." He felt the cold sweat of fear covering him as he breathed heavily, trying to get over the terror of his dream.

Alexandra looked up from where she laid beside Vulpesen, staring and touching his shoulder as she sat up beside him and pulled the covers around her while she talked. "Vulpesen, are you ok, you woke up saying I will twice..." She looked at the face of the person she loved, careful to watch his saber for any accidental swipes that he sent her way for touching his shoulder.

Vulpesen looked over at her, deactivating the saber staff. "Yeah... just a bad dream." He held out the saber and Ace took it to set it back to its resting place, through his eyes stayed on his bond mate. Ashlans shared every mental thing with their partners, including the terror that Vulpesen had just gone through. He sent Ace some reassurance and turned to Alexandra, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close. He wasn't usually the clingy type when in distress. He was the sort who went out and cut the problem to pieces... but what he had just experienced proved a bit much, even for him. "I love you."

She blinked as he hugged her tight, tighter than ever before. Causing her to get even more worried as she heard the words but repeated them before speaking further. "I love you too... Vulpesen, please tell me what is wrong, you look like you saw a ghost, like it twisted your insides so much you could just get sick here and now."

Vulpesen smiled a bit and slowly separated himself from her, taking no small amount of comfort from her words, even with the worry lacing them. "You could say that. Please, just don't go changing any time soon. Stay the neutral, clear thinking, and loving Alexandra I've always known." He pressed a kiss to her lips and started to relax, the fur on his tail, while having gone erratic from the dream started to smooth out.

"I dont like it when you act this way, it always makes me think that you are going to die or go and kill a innocent for no reason other than you can. What happened to the hero of Togoria that saved thousands from Genocide and punched kaine in the face?" She grinned like a fool as she said that, imagining the man getting his face punched in by Vulpesen.

The ex-jedi let out a small laugh as she mentioned him punching Kaine. "I never got that close to him... though he better watch his highchair... that leg made from the complete slaughter of togorians, is rather short." He sank down to lay by her, having gotten relaxed and calmed from the nightmare. "And don't worry, I've no foolish plans or perilous thoughts right now. Just glad to be alive where, and when I am. As for the savior of Togoria, he's lying about somewhere. Just trying to bring order and peace right now."

"You are so cryptic..." She leaned against him as they laid there, arms wrapped around him and drifting off to sleep within the moments that followed. She was more than happy to resume her sleep, but she would get out of him that dream and what seemed to have shaken him so far too the core that he would not even tell her of all people what it is.

He grinned and kissed the top of her head as she started to doze off. "I know..." As he felt her breathing even out, he started to relax as well, letting his eyes close as he fell asleep, his arms wrapped around her in return. With a few flicks of his tail to get out the last of the excitement, he finlly fell asleep, his golden eyes closing and turning off two more lights in the room.
