Never get in over your head. Momma Skylar had told her that once. Of course, it was probably one bit of advice that the young woman hardly followed. Now, being as tired as she was, she realized that maybe for once she should take her mother's advice to heart. Panting, she watched as Mathieu finished off the remaining foes, and leaving only a fragment of the remaining attackers. She felt her morale plummet, realizing her best was not enough, and that if not for Mister Mathieu, she would most certainly be dead.
That wasn't the best feeling.
Mathieu seemed to think she was still in the fight, as a blaster smacked her in the side of the head, and the jedi's flicker in mood seemed to indicate it had been an accident. He was still fighting on her behalf, using all he had, trying to keep the enemy at bay. Yet, here she was, looking weak and feeble. Her mothers were not there to protect her anymore, and for a moment it felt like all she would be was a burden to those around her.
Well, not today!
Taking hold of her ichor, Lana prepared for one last magick trick. Weaving her fog, around herself, she pushed through the nausea that threatened to overtake her, and threw the fog around Mathieu. To the eyes of his attackers, the jedi seemed to vanish from sight as the fog parted, and Lana, wobbling on her feet, fell onto her bottom with a feeling of smugness. "Ops, did I do that?" She managed to get out, eyeing the enraged expressions that loomed before her, she still felt giddy in spite of the danger that loomed before her.

She didn't sit tight. Through the corner of his eyes, he could see the green fog once more. It was something he had come to associate with her magick and sure enough, it was. Before he knew any better, it became abundantly clear that she had hidden him from plain sight. Mathieu knew that time was of the essence - for as their focus shifted, Lana was bound to be the next target.

Easily slipping past the guard of the remaining goon, his open hand would deal a heavy blow to the man's throat. The impact blow was powerful but hoping to ensure that the man was neutralised, Mathieu's hand suddenly closed which caused him to grab the foe in a vice-like grip. With a twist, he shoved the goon towards the Mirialan Sith. The hope was that it would knock them both over but apparently having sensed the danger, the dark sider swung towards the goon with his sabre, thus cutting the follower in half and preventing the body from crashing into him.

The Sith started to reach out through the force to get a sense for where the vanished Jedi was. While he did not appear to have a precise position, he could at least turn towards where the large Morellian was. Undeterred, Mathieu rushed forth and batted the crimson blade away with his own lightsabre. He closed the distance between them quickly. Using his own blade to keep the foe's one away, he managed to wrap an arm around the Sith's neck. Once that was done, the battle was practically over. Mathieu kept the crimson blade away whilst slowly but surely depriving the dark sider of oxygen.

It was only a matter of time before the alien went limp. Mathieu lingered for a few more moments to ensure that it wasn't a trick. Once he felt confident enough in it, he tossed the unconscious foe aside and rushed back to Lana. "You went above and beyond there" he said with a positive undertone clear in his voice. Still, he wasn't celebrating yet as he busied himself with trying to check for if she had any injuries and let out an accompanying question "Are you hurt anywhere?" The bleeding did give him a pretty clear hint - but then, he was not familiar with how nightsister magick worked.

Meanwhile, two shuttles from the Concord fleet had set down in a nearby spaceport. The Marines it was carrying had made contact with the local law enforcement in Officer Calvin. It was only a matter of time before they would figure out what was happening and then, they would be on their way.

Watching as the remaining men moved to finish her off, Lana managed to fend off her desire to pass out. Weaving in and out, she caught a glimpse of Mister Mathieu's spectacular offensive, as he moved in and wiped out the lingering elements of the Sith gang in the blink of an eye. Or at least it seemed that way to Lana.
Falling back, her eyes fluttered back and forth, small streams of blood trickling from the corner of her eyes now. Not that Lana knew it. Frankly, she just felt exhausted, and it was taking all that she had just to stay awake. "No Mister Mathieu, I just feel really, really tired." She muttered, lazily trying to block out the sun from her eyes, though her noddle like arm movements hardly accomplished anything of note. She slowly began to realize the grave danger she had put herself in with that little stunt. She burned off part of her life force to make up for her lack of mental energy, and this was currently the price for it. Stupid. She kicked herself mentally, and tried to sit up. It didn't do much good, as she managed to bob her head forward, but remained flat on her back. "Mister Mathieu, am I going to jail again?" She whispered, closing her eyes, but trying with all her might to stay conscious. She needed to try and at least stay here mentally if she could.
If nothing else she helped Mister Mathieu, and to her, that was well worth it.

Tiredness. Bleeding from the eyes and nose. Mathieu browsed his limited medical knowledge and was at something of a loss as for what to do. She was, at any rate, free from more typical wounds. His eyes shot towards her as it rose a little. It didn't take long for him to figure out what she hoped to achieve. Shuffling slightly to the side, he allowed his form to create a large shadow over her as he sat down by her side.

As she bobbed her head up, he put his open palm underneath to help support her. It was obvious that it was a hard task for her - seeing as how she was already in a weakened state.

A wave of guilt washed over him when she asked if she would go to jail. He shook his head vehemently. It was really his fault that she was there. He could have stopped her from entering but had instead suspected her of being with them. It was stupid. Foolish. And the results of his dumb decision was staring him right in the eyes. But then her eyes closed.

"No no no" he repeated, afraid of what her closing eyes might mean. The large Morellian pushed his arm in further under her head until he could bring her up to let her rest against him in a seated position "Don't go to sleep just yet" he said, squeezing her shoulder softly. "I'll make sure that you won't go to jail, okay?" He paused, creating room for her to answer, hoping that it would keep her awake. "My team is on the way. They're real good people." The Jedi smiled. He would proceed to talk about the members of it until they arrived.

What came next was largely up to Lana. If she did not object, she would be brought to Chaussidier's ship for medical treatment before being sent on her way. Otherwise, they would do their best on the ground and help her seek medical attention at a local hospital. Mathieu would speak to Officer Calvin himself. After their fight against the Sith, there was no doubt in his mind that the young witch was on their side.
