Abafar Exploration

Ballen-Ist watched from a short distance, as the ground beneath the squabbling crowd cracked open, seemingly swallowing them whole. None of them had been recognizable as Sith of the true Empire, so it mattered little to the Pureblood. It seemed as if some of them had also avoided falling below into the Krayt nest.

Making up his mind, the lightly armored Sith made his move, beginning his approach on [member="Mike V'Trechen"] and whoever else accompanied him. The two tall figures at his side moved in tandem, metallic feet landing with resounding thuds against the desert sand. "What master do you serve, boy?" Ballen-Ist hissed, an arm raising to point a finger directly at the Acolyte.

Mike turned around to the Sith Lord ( [member="Ballen-Ist"] ) that helped him. He could tell that the Sith Lord was a Warrior, so he figured to not lie to the Sith Lord. He did not want to die today.

"It is [member="Ashara Evanaris"] ," replied Mike. "Why?"

[member="Orex Mauda"], [member="Iniquitous Ren"], and [member="Demitry Draskovits"] seemed to all end up sucked under the earth by the woman. Well that sure was an interesting move, and hopefully, that would take care of two of their adversaries for now. Unfortunately, she also saw the ship looming over head. A very bad sign given the circumstances.

[member="Mike V'Trechen"] came up to her and asked if she had a job for him, but only a moment later the man who had slowed his fall also came forth asking about what master he served. And of course, Mike answered, Salis stared at [member="Ballen-Ist"] for a moment as Mike answered considering the possibility he was an enemy. One of her blades was still ignited, but many of her knives were lost after being thrown at Demitry. Still, she had two parrying knives that would serve quite fine in a fight.

She figured it might be best to know who this mans master was as well, should he have one. And she did assume he might, "And who is your master?" she asked, her voice was light and almost friendly.

She leaned towards Mike and answered his question sideways, "Keep an eye on the ship overhead. We may have need to leave very soon. Let's just hope those two don't come back out of the ground anytime soon." she added the last part tipping her head over to where the three were brought under ground. She could almost feel bad for the woman, but if it was one life for two it was an acceptable loss. After all she wasn't necessarily an ally. At the same time, would have been interesting to meet the woman properly.

Mike looked at the ship. It was a Galactic Empire Executor-Class Super Star Destroyer. He only saw it once, so he knew how dangerous it really was. Mike saw a huge meteor turned into dust.

"We need to go," said Mike.

The ship overhead was a black corvette, that couldn't have been more than two-hundred meters long, and it had already left as suddenly as it had shown itself. It belonged to [member="Orex Mauda"], and certainly was not a Super Star Destroyer. "No," Ballen-Ist snapped in response to [member="Mike V'Trechen"], not yet satisfied with the answers he had received.

There was no particular hurry, but he wanted to be sure of this. A strange fire of hateful anxiety had ignited in the Pureblood's stomach, upon seeing the two that stood before him. What was it that clung to them so, to inspire such an involuntary response? "I serve the betterment of the Sith, my master being the ideals the Empire stands for," at that, he paused briefly, before continuing. "The Sith Empire." Calculating eyes laid upon the boy and [member="Salis"], as the Pureblood fell silent for the moment.

Mike saw it clearly now. It was a corvette. He noticed that [member="Ballen-Ist"] was unmoved or satisfied with the answer that he had said. He decided to tell [member="Ballen-Ist"] his faction.

" [member="Salis"] and I are in The Jen'Ari Empire," replied Mike. "They actually saved my life. Without them, I would have never been here today."

She could really agree with [member="Mike V'Trechen"] necessity to leave and looked quickly to her ship. However, [member="Ballen-Ist"] spoke up again. With every word he spoke Salis felt herself worry further and further about who he was, sure enough, the Sith Empire. With a heavy emphasis on the. She had to assume he already guessed who they were.

And then, Mike had to go ahead and answer truthfully, she gestured for Mike to step back moving forwards to be in between him and Ballen, "Maybe take a good look at who we're on good terms with next time k?" she said quietly before holding the blade carefully, still in a relaxed state, easy to move from. In ground on ground combat, she would have no fear of this man and quite enjoy a battle with him. But there was a looming ship above and she wanted to leave as soon as possible. "If you want a fight, I'll gladly give it to you. I have yet to not enjoy one. But consider for a moment-" she gestured to the ship above, "What may result in wasted time. I appreciate you not killing my friend here before. But should you initiate a fight right now, I'll be quite happy to finish it."

The word brought a sour taste to Ballen-Ist's mouth. Jen'Ari. Years ago, among the ranks of the One Sith, the Pureblood had encountered the one called Darth Vyrassu. The man had been an arrogant and cruel Sith Lord, unsatisfied with his positioning and power. It was no surprise to Ballen-Ist that he had managed to garner a cult-like following. The two that currently stood before him, were examples of such. Unfortunate, misguided souls.

"I sense your doubt," The red-skinned man stated, burning golden eyes settled and unwavering upon [member="Salis"] and [member="Mike V'Trechen"]. Now they all knew where their allegiances belonged, a decision was to be made. Ballen-Ist hadn't intended on fighting when arriving on the scene, though it would be expected of him by the Empire. The two figures at the Pureblood's side sprang into action, stepping forward as they lifted and activated their electro-staves. The pair struck a combat-ready stance. These Jen'Ari Sith weren't weak, but Ballen-Ist assumed they might be worn out by all the fighting. There were always alternatives. "Don't be foolish. The Sith Empire did not send me, but... We could always use new recruits." He concluded, folding his arms over the plate of armor upon his torso.

Salis face lit up as though the man had just offered her free candy when the magna-guards set into a ready stance, her body instantly lowering and her second blade activating as a smile emerged beneath the mask, her free hand held ready to send out anything necessary. She felt Mike prepare himself behind her, and realized he was tired. She had done some fighting, but it was extremely negligible. She fought all her life and barely exerted herself in the last few moments. And had plenty of time to recover by now. Unfortunately, they were technically outnumbered here. And she wasn't sure she could fight for both herself and Mike, his exhaustion was going to be an issue.

She chuckled, "That's the second time in the last hour we've been offered something like that. At least you sound a bit more interesting" she said with a shrug, "But I'm afraid I just haven't seen quite enough reason to change sides right now."

Her stance was not defensive, nor was it deceptive, it was clearly Ataru, and she was clearly ready to move out of the way at a moments notice, or use the force, or attack. She preferred it because it was malleable, and as she looked at the magna guards, also realized it might serve sufficiently against them. They seemed potentially slower then others. The problem was there were three opponents, and she wagered the sith alone would be troublesome. Let alone the addition of two magna guards, and having an exhausted ally.

Ballen-Ist had yet to take a stance. A sheathed blade laid untouched upon the Pureblood's hip, along with the dark metallic hilt of a lightsaber. As he listened to [member="Salis"], the man could not help but shake his head. He looked at [member="Mike V'Trechen"], while responding to what the woman had said. "You've yet to be offered something like this. The proof is all around you. Your Empire is in chaos, chased away across the galaxy. Among the true Sith, you could make something of yourself." He glanced to the woman. She seemed loyal to her cause. Admirable to a degree, but misplaced loyalty was something Ballen-Ist had experience with.

"I don't need an answer now," he spoke, "but you should think carefully about what the future may hold." The Pureblood's attention was somewhat focused on the once-site of the skirmish, where the fighters had fallen into the caverns below. Were some of them Jen'Ari too?

Mike saw that the man was acting very nice to him. He decided to think on the offer, but there a huge chance that he will not join it. He had freinds in the TJE and Mike was not prepared to leave them.

"We need to go," said Mike to [member="Salis"] . "I do not want to spend anymore time here than I have to."

She narrowed her eyes at @Ballen-Ist. Of course she understood there was truth to what he was saying and doubtless it was a worthwhile offer. But uprooting herself was dangerous at present and she didn't have any personal desire to change where she was...yet at least. "I'll keep it in mind." she said honestly, deactivating her saber and stepping back, nodding at [member="Mike V'Trechen"] in agreement at mention of needing to go. "Farewell." she added simply heading towards her ship quickly ready to get out of here. So far as she knew, the ship above them wouldn't know who to go for, so they still had plenty of a chance to escape.

"It's best you do." And so, the Pureblood turned on his heel, marching away from the scene along with the two Super Magnaguards by his side. Considering he still had business on the planet, and with no intention of leaving soon, it would have been foolish to start a fight.

[member="Salis"] and [member="Mike V'Trechen"] were reasonable enough, Ballen-Ist was sure that they would come around sooner or later. It was only a matter of time before the Jen'Ari collapsed. The Sith made his way back to the shuttle he had arrived in, powering it up and flying many miles away to the temporary base of operations that had been set up.

Mike turned around to his ship. He did not want to leave, but he did not want to die. He got into his ship and plotted a course to Draika. It was there that his maste, [member="Ashara Evanaris"] is waiting on him.
