When activated, the Anvil produces what appears to be a false singularity, a gravitational phantom that yanks starships violently from hyperspace. But the torment doesn't stop there. Spatial integrity collapses subtly within its field, degrading navigation systems, overwhelming inertial dampeners, and making ship control feel like dragging metal through sludge. Armor plating groans under metaphysical pressure, and metaphysical anchoring effects can suppress more esoteric methods of travel.

While it cannot destroy vessels on its own, its presence on the battlefield ensures prey cannot escape and suffer internal stress even before battle begins.
