STRENGTHS

• ONLY ANGELS MAY FLY: The 'Mantellska' is the priemer 'take all comers' in air defense artillery, able to engage and destroy both long range and short range threats with its homing missiles for the latter and kinetic weapons for the former. In the employment of countermeasures, the missile systems have a variable SACLOS or heat-seeking functionality, allowing the track commander to switch between them, utilizing the onboard 'TEMPEST AI' to use command line of sight in order to engage and destroy targets with the missiles should countermeasures be deployed.
• ADA RAIDS: The speed and swiftness of 'Mantellska' allows what is usually employed defensively to be used as an attacking element, the smaller profile of the vehicle allowing it to emplace out of sight to attack encoming air-assault elements before making a quick escape from their engagement area.

WEAKNESSES

• GROUND VULNERABILITY: The 'Mantellska's entire armament package is engineered specifically to engage air targets. Whilst it can be used for ground engagements, it removes a vital component of combat power and sensor monitoring for enemy air, thus making it an ineffective though in a neccessary situation, usable ground-to-ground combat platform, particularly in engaging soft skinned or dismount targets though its missiles can target tanks, vehicles and bunkers, the payload is more suited to knock out fighter, bomber and gunship-sized aircraft.
• SHOCKWAVE: The necessity for the vehicle's onboard electronic and sensor suite to engage air targets makes it especially vulnerable to EMP attacks which might scramble or disable these systems. Whilst it can be operated in a degraded mode, its combat effectiveness against maneuverable targets decreases by an estimated 78%. (Kuat Entralla estimate).

DESCRIPTION
In accordance with Kuat Entralla's development of a complete surface warfare combined arms package for private sale with the intent to retire its stock of New Imperial Order surplus, the development of mobile, self propelled air defense artillery became a necessary component. With many of its contracts going to lesser powered planetary defense governments or remnant factions, the need for a means to even the playing field against entities with stronger air and space power, the 'Mantellska' was engineered to be both a versatile and reliable air defense platform with a split choice in weaponry. Whilst the mass driver chain cannons are intended for heavier or lower flying in-surface starships, the tracking missiles can cast a net of denial for fast moving star fighters or bombers with a higher dwelling altitude in sub orbital combat.
