Irumakka Sednava
Retired Imperial, Businessman
Adumar Advanced Starcraft Materials
Adumar Advanced Starcraft Materials (A.A.S.M.) is founded, owned, and operated by a retired imperial remnant starfighter pilot, Irumakka Sednava. The company has no direct allegiance to a particular government or faction besides the Risen Empire, with which it has a contract to provide some materials. A.A.S.M. accepts contracts, private manufacturing requests, and custom orders from all factions, good or evil, rich or poor, although the owner does have preference towards imperial clients.
A.A.S.D.R., the parent company, is not a charitable organization, but neither is it greedy or underhanded. All deals and interactions are strictly legal and above board, and Irumakka Sednava does his best to keep prices fair to both himself and his clients. Employees receive a proper, fair benefits package, but are additionally expected to follow very, very strict rules. The company does not exploit the natural resources of its planet; however, it is not particularly environmentally friendly, with its factories, both for its own use and those of its subsidiaries such as A.A.S.M. reportedly experiencing issues with emissions. Irumakka Sednava insists on a high standard of workplace safety at the A.A.S.M. factory. If there is an incident, Sednava with personally lead a safety training session to address the issue. A.A.S.D.R. and by extension A.A.S.M. is also notable for its commitment to providing jobs for military veterans, especially those wounded in the line of duty, with no regard for faction. They make up a large percentage of the workforce.
A.A.S.M. develops and manufactures new materials for its parent company, A.A.S.D.R.
RATIONALE
As A.A.S.D.R. continued to expand, Irumakka Sedna realized it would be prudent to begin manufacturing his own materials, rather than relying on those that were widely available. He also reasoned that if he set up his own laboratory to research new compounds and materials, he could discover something for use in his craft that would set his company apart from its competitors. As such, a portion of his profits was diverted to finance the purchase of an old factory near the very edge of Cartann City, which would serve as the production facility, laboratory, and headquarters for Adumar Advanced Starcraft Materials. As the owner of the parent company, Sednava effectively owns Adumar Advanced Starcraft Materials as well, often journeying to the factory aboard his personal landspeeder to oversee the implementation of a production line for a new exotic material or compound the lab has developed.
