Adventures in Wild Space

As a break for myself and to curb my otherwise ambitious plans and ideas (as everyone seems to be doing much better at creating, drawing activity and keeping their ideas running), I've decided to.... focus on another ambitious plan....

Well, not an ambitious plan that involves Faction building and map gaming. I think that's been my problem all along. I've been so focused on trying to get a faction on the map that I've discarded factions and characters faster than managers tell their servers to push the fish because its about to turn. I haven't really given myself a singular focus so that I could enjoy the board as a whole; which is what this plan is attempting to do.

While I'll have a bit of focus and checking up on a couple other characters (with bio rewrites planned for others that might get active again; including keeping the Order of the Righteous Flame around, just in its current and permanent status as a minor faction); I'll be putting all of my focus on this character, Sector Ranger Ocano and her adventures in Wild Space.

The main focus will be on Ocano, her ship the Tranquility and her well adventures in Wild Space.

Goals to include the following...

• Mapping out Wild Space (filling in those empty hexes and providing worlds & species for others)
• A potential Hyperspace Lane through Wild Space, running all the way to Crystalsong
• Finding out who she is / where she comes from
• Her species & her species' homeworld
• Anything else thread partners can think of

The major focus would be on the ship and its crew; which means finding a crew.

Specifically I would like just a small group, nothing more than 5 individuals / characters, that would like to join in on these little adventures; meaning the following needs to be filled in.

*Note: While I would prefer to avoid it, I am not against also involving the small group with the upcoming event; primarily in the unofficial threads as I would like to avoid the drama and ooc bickering that involvement with the main part of the event will bring.

Is there any spot that might be open to the large reptile-man that doesn't speak much Basic that is Llkt'tudrin'wyttd (Drin to those he likes)? This is, after all, a very interesting idea, one that I would love to be involved in if you'll have me.

I'm not sure if the other slots could fit me, Kassey is a smuggler but if she heard of a crew needed to explore wild space I think she would try and tag along somehow.

However, if all of the slots are filled, but you're looking for someone to run into or some kind of foil, I'd be happy to be involved. Otherwise, good luck with the thread I hope it turns out great!

I might be able to accomidate one; though this is mainly as I want to try and keep the numbers low. The main idea though is a series of threads and story lines, so one would need to be in it for the long hall.

I'd honestly love to be involved in this for the long haul. As I think you know through Amelia, Drin kind of vanished a while back. That was because I just couldn't find any inspiration to write his character. However, reading through your original post in this thread, kind of immediately kick started my brain in action and I'm suddenly loving all these ideas rolling around my mind for Drin. Anyway, if you're willing to have me involved for the long haul, then I would be glad to be involved. However, I would love to be involved in this project in any capacity that you see fit.

As for a role for Drin, I'm not entirely sure where he could fit. Out of the remaining slots open, I suppose Mechanic could fit him the best, but, even then, it's not a good fit for him. I would see him as more of a Hired Muscle type of role. But, I'll bow to you on this matter.
