Eternal Fleet Command
In the wake of the Ashlan Crusade’s liberation of Dromund Kaas, the majority of the galaxy’s major political players mobilized considerable resources to aid in their endeavor. The reason for each entity’s involvement is as numerous as the secrets the enigmatic planet itself holds from all but the most persistent of explorers, but a commonality between them all is one simple fact; the balance of power holding sway over the galaxy is at the most uncertain level it has been in millenia. Relations between the New Imperial Order and the Galactic Alliance are at an all-time low; the Ashlan Crusade waxes ascendant whilst the Confederacy of Independent Systems collapses from the sheer magnitude of its influence; the Eternal Empire is currently experiencing a period of momentum unseen in nearly a decade as its military industrial complex rises to the occasion of seeing it reemerge as a galactic power, while the Mandalorian Enclave bares its teeth in a daring and politically risky attack upon the Imperial world of Panatha. Meanwhile, the Brotherhood of the Maw together with the New Sith Order have taken the Second Great Hyperspace war to new heights, challenging the resolve of the Silver Jedi Concord and their New Jedi Order brothers. Not to be ignored, the enigmatic Elysium Empire rises from relative obscurity as it expands its influence in the deep reaches of the Outer Rim. As the immeasurable streams of time ebb and flow, who can say what will happen next?
It is in the midst of such uncertainty that two powers have opted to take advantage of their close proximity in the aftermath of Dromund Kaas, to have a ‘meeting of minds’ wherein it will be decided whether they can ever hold common cause between them; or if they can even coexist without the spectre of war hanging above them. To the majority of geo-political analysts, too many unanswered questions and grievances exist between the Eternal Empire and the New Imperial Order. Decades prior, one power had aligned itself with The Sith Empire in their campaign to enslave the galaxy under their thrall, whilst the other was borne from within The Sith Empire by those who refused to fight under the banner of unspeakable tyranny and oppression. The war that resulted from this historic series of events wrought deep wounds between them both, scars which carry on to this day. The simple fact the two powers were able to operate on Dromund Kaas without tearing each other apart bespeaks that perhaps civility can win out between them. While an official meeting could do much to carry such momentum forward, it could also risk much to the contrary - with the Galaxy being the unfortunate bystander should the worst come to pass. The vast majority of the Galaxy’s populace carry on with their day to day lives, blissfully unaware as both parties meet upon the Eternal Imperial flagship The Crimson Empress, anchored in high orbit over Dromund Kaas in position between the NIO Naval Forces and the Eternal Fleet - serving as a centralized space for the two powers to meet, with representatives of the Ashlan Crusade serving as a neutral party for the summit. Hopefully, history will remember this meeting as the beginning of a new age between them both, rather than the catalyst for a conflict many fear hangs in the near future...
Objective 1: Orbital Summit
Representatives of the New Imperial Order, Ashlan Crusade, and Eternal Empire convene within the audience chamber built into the Crimson Empress, the flagship of the Eternal Fleet and the personal vessel of Empress Ingrid L’lerim. The goals of this summit may vary between either side, but the historic significance of it cannot be understated.
Objective 2: Holdouts
Although the liberation of Dromund Kaas could be considered a forgone conclusion, there are still pockets of resistance to be found scattered throughout the planet. Given the Ashlan Crusade’s policy of purging all elements of Sith Influence on the planet, both the Eternal Empire and the New Imperial Order have taken on the joint assignment of aiding them in rooting out any final vestiges of Sith resistance on the planet, in particular at a series of scattered temples deep within the jungle on the far side of the planet. Who knows what secrets they may reawaken, or to what extent the Sith may still exist on the planet...
Objective 3: BYOO
The chaos surrounding a military demobilization effort cannot be underestimated. Anything could happen, be it opportunities for fraternization between military units, medical care for wounded personnel, unsanctioned races using military equipment, or even acts of espionage.
