Ah Know Dis Is Fruitful - ME Dominion of Anobis Hex Y-23

nicolas-ferrand-sci-fi-celebration-concept-artist.jpg

The sky was clear as the stars filled the nightsky mixed with the lights of the city along with fireworks and various other festive lights as the people of Anobis where celebrating the anniversary of when they where able to negotiate a peace that ended decades worth of civil war among the people, The trees bloomed and blue-silver leaves fell as a warm wind blew across the cityscape the Mandalorians where invited to join and participate in the events which consisted of various games from a small Arena to hold none lethal duels between those who wished it or a shooting range to see who can hit the most targets in the shortest amount of time and various other fun games.

While this was going on the government of Anobis had agreed to meet with the diplomats to discuss a signing treaty and the finalize negotiations that will allow the Mandalorians to add this world to there territory, While they were still recovering from several decades of civil war there planet still showing the scars of that war they had agreed to meet while the festivities where on going. Skorvek along with whoever else wished to accompany him was on the way to the government building to finalize talks, He hoped this will end well and smoothly given the planets history there was several avenues he could go to along with aiding in restoring the planet back to its full glory as well as remove any old war time traps that where not cleaned up when the peace was signed.

There was several complaints of people who where enjoying the festival of missing items from there pockets they say they saw someone walking off with some of there things but they loose them in the crowd not long after and have asked for some help in catching the pickpocket thats been stealing and see if they cannot return there stuff to the proper owners.

A:Celebrate the Harvest with the citizens of Anobis, by participating in the Harvest Games
B:Diplomacy join the me and the government of Aplanet with a signing treaty & final negotiation
C:A pickpocket has been stealing from the crowd. Locate the blighter!

Objective: B
Adenn had come to Anobis in the hopes of finding something interesting to do. Instead, he found only boredom, politics, which honestly go hand in hand, and some festival things. Said festival things being arena fights or shooting targets. Both didn't involve actual killing, so Adenn left them alone. He didn't want to accidentally kill someone and mess the whole thing up. Other than that, the most interesting that had happened so far was a rumor about some pickpocket stealing things from others(duh). However, this all wouldn't entertain Adenn on any level. So, deciding to see what would happen with the negotiations, Adenn accompanied @Skorvek.

Mig looked up at the city skyline, taking in a deep breath. It wasn't often that he got the chance to rest so it was nice to have it, but something kept gnawing a the back of his senses. No. It was probably nothing. He was just going to enjoy watching a participating in some game. It be a good time! And then he heard people talking about missing things from their pockets. He wasn't going to get involve. He wasn't going to get involve.... Dang it! Relaxation was for the weak anyway.

Mig shrugged and looked around, quickly walking up to someone who was complaining about loosing something. "Hey, heard you complaining about loosing some stuff. You happen to see who lifted it?"

[Objective] A: Celebrate the Harvest with the citizens of Anobis, by participating in the Harvest Games.

Valdus trudged through the streets, he had heard there would be festivities here. He was practically half in retirement anyway and spending some time and credits on Anobis wouldn't set his Endor tree-hut retirement back too far. What was around to do at these harvest games? He caught some passersby going on about eating contests, wrestling, marksmanship, and something about running though he didn't catch everything that was being discussed before they moved out of earshot of the brute. " Eating....wrestlin'...or .... " He began to look around for another option and the festival did not make him search for long -- a drinking competition! " Easy winnin's!" He chuckled deeply. He made his way quickly towards the crowd but when he got there he was met with only heartbreak; the drinking contest had already been underway for quite some time. " Kriff." He exhaled. There was only one thing that was left for him to do, an event he felt that he could win: wrestling.

The motorized knee joints hummed, buzzed, and whirled as the two meter plus Mandalorian strode towards the growing crowd surrounding respectably built men of average sizes and above average sizes. However, unless there was a Wookie or a fellow Nelvaanian among them, Valdus would be a mountain of might among muscle-bound hills. As he approached Valdus realized he would need to take off his Beskar'gam in order to compete. He wouldn't go through the trouble of doffing his armor if he could not find an event organizer to sign him up for the event. " Who here is going to get me signed up for this bout of strength?!" Oh yes, he was cheesing it up, he had to please the crowd after-all.

Politics and diplomacy, it was rather tiresome, even if star had been going a bit of it for several years with her planets. However that was usually planet politics and not something as big as this, nevertheless stardust was eager to see this planet added to the roster in the name of the mand'alor.

She arrived following [member="Skorvek"], wearing her armor and her weapons still on her however helemt was removed and under her arm as she walked beside skorvek

years of civil war and unrest and these people still have a festival, I admire that kind of spirit really

Festivals. Beth loved a good festival – the joy, the atmosphere, the smiles and grins, the laughter of kids playing, the watchful eyes of parents. These were the moments people had to live for. In an increasingly hostile galaxy, this is what kept people alive and pushing forward. A moment to forget the backstabbing, intrigue, and warmongering.

So, Beth leaned against a food cart, munching on some fried, sugary substance. Churro? Is that what they called it? An orange-peach colored dress (of course with her shield belt still on, just hidden,) hair tied in a long braid, she came solely for enjoyment. Her mom and Skorvek would likely be talking to the representatives of the planet by now.

Deep in thought, she couldn’t help but remember the last big festival she had been too. It was recently after she was found by Kaine. Barely 11 years old, she was playing with some of the other kids. Dancing around.

She couldn’t remember what that festival was called, now.

Either way, a uniformed man interrupted her thoughts.

Ma’am, can you please take a look at this?” He showed her a holovid of a man stealing items from a purse. Beth shook her head, “Alright, thank you for your time. Keep an eye out for your pockets, we have a serial thief.

Beth sighed, immediately knowing what she would have to do – hunt for pickpocket. So much for just enjoying the festival. With a deep sigh, the young woman took off into the crowd before she felt a familiar Force signature. Was that… Mig? Her trainer? She followed the Force, until she could find him in the crowd. "Mig, is that you?" She would ask as she saw his back. It felt like him, and she knew it was, but habit dictated she ask.

Mig had asked a few people if they had seen the pickpocket, but everyone he talked to told him the same. They didn't see him. Mig just sighed and started walking around, trying to find this guy in the act until he felt a familiar prescience. Was that Beth? He then heard her call his name. Yep, that was Beth. Mig smiled as he turned around, happy to see her. It was nice seeing someone he knew already here too.

"Su cuy'gar, Beth. Didn't expect to see you here." Mig said, happy to see her. "You wouldn't happen to have seen a pickpocket around?" It was a stretch, and honestly kinda rude to ask right after seeing her, but maybe Beth had some information on this guy.

Valdus' grandiose entrance was greeted by marveling stares, he truly was a behemoth of a man. Or they assumed he was a man due to his booming voice and anatomical structure, what little they could gain from it. Valdus did not wait long before a athletic man in his prime, full beard and beaming, reached out a large datapad. " Grow them big where you're from, friend. Sign your name here, the brackets will be randomized, and whoever makes it to the final four positions will be put into a grand melee!" This tournament organizer was very hyped up about his event. Valdus took the datapad and began to type out his name on the screen, but as the tournament organizer mentioned a grand melee, he paused. "Grand melee? With weapons?" The organizer's eyes widened and quickly shook his head, raising his hands up palms out, " No, no, no weapons! It's a four person free-for-all, same rules apply, there's just more people in the ring."

Valdus nodded his head and continued to enter his name and other information as well as sign a safety disclaimer, " Glorious." The hulking Mandalorian offered the organizer back his datapad, which the organizer took happily. " Randomization will begin soon. There are currently sixteen contestants, a good even number."

With that the organizer went to the center of a grassy octagonal arena roughly five meters from end to end. He then lifted the datapad and clicked a comically large button displayed on the screen. Suddenly the names started to scroll at a blurring fast speed and then a bracket was shown. "The first rounds are as shown! Everyone good luck."

It seemed Valdus was going to be in the first round against some bloke named Brennen Tehra. "Excellent." Valdus then began to remove his beskargam's plates one by one. It was going to be a lengthy endeavor.

Beth gave a grin to [member="Mig Gred"]. She probably shouldn’t have been surprised to see him here – many Mandalorians would be on the planet today, especially with combat arenas going on and the diplomatic talks from the leaders. Perhaps she’d stop by after the diplomacy to see her mom. Or, really, maybe she’d just watch the battles.

From the distance, she could see a [member="Valdus Bral"] – the large, hulk of a man was not hard to miss even in a crowd. She could only assume he’d be in the arena, or tournament, or whatever this planet called them. She had other priorities to think about, though. Namely, who was this mystery pickpocket?

Su cuy’gar, Mig!” She gave with a grin as she reached in to give him a hug. The young woman was a hugger – she had always been. It was her way of greeting a friend or family member.

She shook her head, “I haven’t… But I got asked by a cop. I figured I’d poke around, see what I find out.” She grinned, “I guess you’re doing a very similar thing, eh?

Objective B

Adenn had been wandering around searching for [member="Skorvek"] for some time now. The only reason he managed to find him was because he spotted some green from @@Stardust Australis Skirae. He was glad, there was another friendly face who he could possibly talk to during the... ahem.... talks. So, he walked up towards the both of them.

"Su cuy'gar vod. It's good to see you again star. Hehe, I was hoping to meet you under better circumstances, these are better circumstances."

Alor of Clan Gred, Mando'ad'jetii
Mig smiled at [member="Beth Cadera"], surprised by the hug. He definitely hadn't expected that, but he he chuckled and hugged back. He also noticed the Mandalorian in heavy armor. Must have been going to the tournament. Either way, Mig had more important things to attend to. He looked at Beth as she explained her encounter with an officer. Apparently they had the same goal right now, find the pickpocket. At her guess that he was also looking for the pickpocket, the alor gave her a nod.

"Yeah. Been asking around but no one's actually seen the person, or persons." He looked around for a second before continuing. "Well, wanna work together on this one?"

[member="Beth Cadera"]

Beth could tell she caught the Mandalorian off-guard with her hug. Beth could only smile, though. It was in her nature – she gave hugs freely, and openly, to people she cared about. And Mig counted in that.

She hoped the large Mandalorian would have fun in the arena – really, she kind of wished he was with them on the hunt for the pickpocket(s?). But, alas, it looked like it was her and [member="Mig Gred"] on the search. That was fine – she was sure between the two of them they could figure out who was stealing everyone’s credits, IDs, and the rest of the junk.

Same. Yeah, let’s figure it out together. Two heads are better than one,” she said. At least, that is how the saying goes she assumes. She took a moment to think about their situation before she noticed a small crowd near a couple of cops gathering.
Sheesh, looks like they got plenty… Let’s see what they’re saying?” She’d nod towards the group.

Upon approach, it seemed that many of the people had been victims of the pickpockets. Some mentioned it was a man, others mentioned it was a woman. Some others mentioned red hair, others mentioned black. But, it seemed that was all the people could remember. If that was even memory. Beth pondered for a moment, “Maybe a shapeshifting species?

He was standing at the ship docks on Anobis. He was smoking with his helmet off and Mando armor on. He was sent here. For his Clan, Akaata. He was standing out front of his person ship, the Last Ronin, a YT1930. He had his 5 other Patrol ships with him, all with Mandalorian Shock Troopers. With another dozen with him on his ship. They had their armor and full layout with them, including Lao. They were always ready to fight, They were Mandalorians on a peace mission. They had shown up as a break and some shore leave for his men, in truth most were looking for a fight. For a moment he stood there looking off into the sky. Thinking and smoking.

Fedrig looked around the area, he was in his armour without his helmet. He thought that it would offer some reassurance to the locals, not having to look at the intimidating and the threatening connotations that came with the Mandalorian look. His hair was ruffled and slightly windswept with the breeze as stroked his beard slowly. His eyes scanning over the scenes, they had been told of an expert pickpocket located in the city. Looking over the people, he spotted a young woman with an older man, they seemed to be investigating the same situation that Fedrig had volunteered for. He wondered if he should join them or stay separate from them. It was hard to judge whether they were wanting to work on the assignment alone.

The information was scarce and often contradicted itself, scanning over the information, he tried to figure out which was true and possibly traits that the person could change or manipulate. It was confirmed that they were female, however other details were not easy to decipher. Fedrig sighed as he looked at the data on a datapad. Walking absentmindedly, he accident bumped Beth and looked at the floor. "Feth, sorry, I was lost in thought trying to track this pickpocket that is around." Fedrig stated.

Mig smiled when [member="Beth Cadera"] agreed that they should work together to solve this, letting at a chuckle at her comment, adding "Yeah. Seems to work for Troig and Paaerduag at least" with a joking smile. He listened to all the people who said that they had seen the pickpocket. Of course no one's stories seemed to match anyone else's memories. This was great. No one seemed to see the same person, which could mean they were dealing with an entire group. Beth then suggested that the pickpocket may be a changeling. Mig gave a nodded, thinking. "Could be. Clawdite maybe?"

He then noticed the vod who bumped into Beth. He was apologizing, and Mig decided to let her speak to him first. After all, it would seem a it weird if he spoke up first during an apology. Either way, he waited to hear what she'd say.

Stardust heard her name and turned seeing adenn, having met the man not that long ago in a very...interesting way per say. She bowed and smiled

su cuy'gar , these are indeed much better conditions to meet and get to know one another, come let's keep going I know how politicians can get a bit restless

A whole different attitude from last time, she seemed more laid back and relaxed even rather then serious and straight forward. Looking to skorvek she smiled ans started forward again

Gaius, whilst in his natural state of a lupine creature with a midnight black hide which is nine feet of condensed muscle with bright blue eyes and a jaw lined in sharp fangs, takes a walk away from the commotion of those seeming to enjoy the festivities to explore the nearby vicinity before overhearing the talks of an unknown thief making their way around, and out of pure curiosity the son of Ambrose made his way off to where the scene was reported to be. It didn't take long for him to come to a halt as his senses picked up someone nearby, someone he was linked with through his pack and before he could lock onto the individual, the beast's gaze took note of [member="Fedrig"] bumping into [member="Beth Cadera"]. Without thinking much of it, the large wolf made its way towards [member="Mig Gred"], however, it's blue gaze sat fixed upon the half-Eldorai, and if nothing attempted to stop him, the large creature would not stop till looming physically over her with curiosity deep within his facial features.

Beth could only chuckle at [member="Mig Gred"]’s joke. Hopefully, they would make a good team – as good of a team as their training suggested they could be. Both were talented, resourceful individuals. He probably more so than her, considering he even led his own clan. That by itself was a difficult task to bear.

Either way, Beth listened closely to the people speaking. Another note, many said, was that it did have a humanoid shape – similar to human. Beth gave a small nod at Mig’s suggestion. It could very well be a Clawdite. Reptilian shape-shifters that could really only shift to similar species. She leaned and whispered into Mig’s ear, “I could buy a big bag with full of crap in it, act like an oblivious tourist, and you watch? Maybe he’ll make an attempt?

She didn’t want to say that out loud, in case he was around. Didn’t want to exactly give away their cover already. As Beth turned to potentially go buy said bag, she immediately ran into @Fedrig. She was a bit in shock over the impact, mainly worried that she may have some bruises that she wasn’t expecting to receive. “Oh, no worries,” she said as she rubbed the area that hit most. “Are you okay?” In a much quieter tone, “We are too. Want to join up? We think it might be a shapeshifter.”

Beth felt something, though – or rather, someone tugging through the telepathic connections she had now with the Gurlanin pact. After saving Tuulu on Eshan, she was inducted into the pact despite having no Gurlanin in her. Most interestingly, and something she was still gaining the hang of, had gained the ability to telepathically connect with pact members.

Beth perked a brow as the wolf as she began to figure out through the connection of who he was. In truth, he may have been pretty confused as to why a non-Gurlanin was apart of the pact, but she was surprised she had never felt him before. Had he not been on Mandalore? It took a moment for her to realize who he was - [member="Ambrose Cadera"]’s son, the Prince of Qiilura, head of the pact she had been inducted into, [member="Gaius Cadera"].

She gave the slightest of a curtsy, as respect. Through the connection, she decided to speak through her mind to him. She still looked up at the large wolf. Being nearly 6' herself, the 9' was not as intimidating it might have been to some other individuals. She guessed there might have been a useful perk after all to her Eldorai blood - she was tall. “You’re kinda in my personal space.

Fedrig smiled warmly to the woman as she brushed off the accident. Noticing her rubbing the area he bumped into her the worst, he cursed himself at the hard armour he was wearing. It was never a good first impression bruising someone. "I wish I would offer something to help with the pain but not much of a medic. Ice should help calm any bruises though." Fedrig offered with an awkward smile. Hearing a similar story on the fact the pickpocket could be a shapeshifter. "Would explain the differing statements, problem is how to bring them out. A tracker could work but need to be sneaky and not obvious. So not from me basically." He chuckled as he was wearing his full armour bar helmet so stood out like a sore thumb.

"If we could..." Fedrig cut himself off when he noticed a rather tall fellow get awfully close to Beth. He raised an eyebrow but said nothing, while he felt it wasn't polite to be so close to someone, he didn't know if they were close family or dating. If they were strangers then it was inappropriate but he didn't feel the need to defend Beth, he was sure as a Mandalorian, she could put up a decent fight if needed.
