Ain't Nothin' Like Taxes! (Free Colonies/Open)

Objective 3
The "Palace"

There really weren't a whole lot of people present inside the wall. That was good, it meant the violence could be fairly well contained. The Sephi pushed open the doors and pushed them open, again not finding anyone. Despite the lack of people however, there was a strong Force presence, one that had the sense of feeding commands throughout the building. That was odd considering there were absolutely zero reports of the Baron having Force powers. Which meant someone else was already here.

From the service entrance, he made his way up the stairs and to a study. The stairs had the sense of someone powerful heading up before him, recently. It was an echo of the presence of whoever had been giving commands through the Force; apparently he'd wanted to stay more hidden as well and avoided the main entrance. An entrance that was now being swarmed with rioters and met with the few guards stationed inside the palace itself, according to his Force senses. Most of the others people left in the place were huddling in their rooms, hoping to not be dragged out by the invaders. This needed to be quick to stop the hordes.

One last turn and flight of steps, and Audren was at the door. An open door, with the Baron, one guard, and a third man inside. The carbine wouldn't be needed, just the pistol, and that only if they put up a fight. He slung the carbine along his back and pulled the sidearm, ensuring the stun setting was in place as he crossed the threshold of the room. His unlit lightsaber was suddenly in hand as well, just in case. The men were armed, after all. For now though, he'd only listen, ready to intervene if someone tried to kill the Baron. Who knew, the guard could be in on it too, the holodramas said that happened a lot.

The battle raged on as neither side had the advantage, both of the fleets had suffered losses. In the Free Colonies fleet, they had lost an entire squadron and a patrol cruiser, For the Government fleet, they had lost one of their Tartan-class patrol cruisers and a squadron of TIE/LNs, the battle was turning into a stalemate rather than a victory or a loss.

Wren had to end this before anymore lives were lost that day to the tyranny of the Annaj government.

The Marauder-class Corvette that he was in had suffered quite severe damage due to concentrated firepower from the Victory II-class, he would need to destroy that before they could proceed.

"All ships, concentrate firepower on that star destroyer, I repeat, all ships fire on that star destroyer." Wren ordered as the starfighters got into formation for another bombing run and the larger ships began their barrage.

giphy.gif
That did it, the concentrated firepower of the entire fleet had drained enough of the Star Destroyer's shields that the bombers were able to destroy one of the shield generators on the command tower which deactivated the bridge deflector shields.

The ship was vulnerable to the starfighters for them to strike the bridge and destroy it.

"Patrol Cruisers, continue screening enemy starfighters and give ours some cover fire! Corvettes, destroy that last Tartan! As for the starfighters, destroy the bridge of that destroyer!" He ordered as the fleet moved into position once again to carry out his orders.

As the last Tartan-class patrol cruiser fell to the combined onslaught of the fleet's corvettes, the patrol cruisers flanked the Star Destroyer to prevent fighters from intercepting their starfighters as they began their final bombing run of the ship.

A single squadron of bombers flew above the surface of the destroyer as they targeted the bridge, dodging turbolasers and the communication array, they flew upwards and delivered their complement of proton torpedoes right into the bridge of the Victory II-class, causing the ship to lose control.

giphy.gif
The corvettes continued to fire on it as it erupted into a fireball of debris, which would later be burned up in the atmosphere of Annaj.

"Alright, shock troopers may begin their boarding of the shipyards, anyone else may also board and plunder any credits you find as a reward for helping the Free Colonies." Wren said as the escape pods full of boarding parties launched from the Marauder-class and headed towards the shipyard, followed by the ships that wanted to loot the place.

Wren activated his comlink and sent a message through to Jack; "This is Jagen, the enemy fleet has been destroyed and we are now capturing the shipyards, they've got a damn fine compliment of ships up here Jack, you should see it when we're done." he had said.

War was good for business.

Objective: 4

Gray had managed to take out several of the soldiers before the militia made it across the alleyway to the gateway. He watched as several of them get mowed down by the manned turrets. He saw Kat over on the other side of the gate from him. He studied the positions of the turrets for a moment before he slide his hand over to the side of his helmet. He said, " Hey beautiful, I have an idea on how to stop those turrets. I want you to try to use the force and make the turret on my side of the gate face and fire on the turret on your side. I'm going to try to do the same with the turret on your side. If that doesn't work, I'll just lob some grenades. Good luck, and let's hope this works. I don't feel like getting shot."

Gray focused on the turret on Kat's side of the gate and began to try to make it move. He had his hand out in front of him as he poured all of his will into the thing moving. After a few moments, the turret began to slowly turn towards the turret on the side of the gate he was at. The soldier manning it was confused by his turret suddenly moving and stopped firing it. He tried to turn it back in the right direction, which made things harder on Gray. He upped his focus and the pause in the firing gave the militia the breather they needed to gain some ground. He eventually got the turret completely turned and made it open fire on the other turret for a couple of seconds before he dropped his focus. He began to breath heavily from the effort he had used.

Gray slide his hand up on the side of his head and said, " Well that wiped me out. How did it go for you?"

"Got it."

Katelyn's hazel eyes fixated upon the manned turret opposite of the one that was closest to her. She reached out her hands away from her body, aimed towards the manned turret closest to Gray.Closing her eyes, Katelyn visualized the turret within her mind, the man atop it and the outer workings and physical appearance of the turret to the best of her abilities without taking a peak. Katelyn's hands moved slightly, causing the turret to slowly move towards the turret closest to her. Though, this effort was to no avail as the operator began moving his turret in the opposite direction.

Katelyn reached out even further, using the force to identify some of the inner workings of the turret. The cogs and energy cells on the inside, which were hooked to the foundation and the outer barrel which shot out the energy-based projectiles. Katelyn tried again, this time getting farther then last time until the operator tried moving it again.

Though, this time, Katelyn was ready. She sensed the man moving the controls and moved the turret in the direction he was going, causing the turret to go faster than it should've been going. This caused the turret to go within a full loop, aiming downsights towards the other turret just as it fired upon the one Katelyn was controlling. This caused two of the four barrels upon the turret to be destroyed along with half of the foundation.

Now, it was Katelyn's turn. She caused the turret to fire off a few volleys upon the opposing turret, hitting the foundation and then at the operator to try and allow a rebel to control it. As the operator was moving it again, Katelyn moved it in the same direction again whilst causing the turret to fire repeatably, taking out a single small vessel on accident. But, in the process, killing over a dozen soldiers.

Katelyn's concentration then snapped like a twig as shots were fired at her. Katelyn closed her eyes and hit her head against the wall behind her lightly as a rebel took out the soldier that shot at her. Katelyn was now sweating from the process of what she had done. She hit her comn on her forearm and brought it up to her mouth and ear. "It went..ok. I got a rebel to take the turret while in the process damaging it. Sorry, about ..................you know...destroying a ship."

Objective #2: Taxhouse

He watched the guards skitter and scatter. The wall protected the house and Jack estimated a good hundred foot stretch between the wall and the house itself. It was open and barren, but farther down towards the corner there was a short gap between a ledge and nearby parapet. That was his route.

Moving quickly with the guards in tow he raced down the wall. all caution was gone now. He wanted battle, desired it, craved it. Dark energies were beginning to stir in his soul, tainting his vision. He felt the pull of the darkside enamour his bones. He was feeding from the pain and the suffering and yet rejected it at the same time.

Two guards caught notice, raising their rifles. Jacks armored boot slammed into one chest, cracking his cavity while the second opened fire. His Dinuul energy shield sparked to life, snapping open from his chest. It flashed and arced as bolts pounded it. It gave him just enough time to draw his Beskad and plunge it with brutality into the guards skull.

With a quick movement he retracted it, and pivoted, kicking the guard free of the wall. Alarms blared, blaster shots rang out. The main gate was under heavy attack from rockets but holding. They were too busy seeing to that to see to Jack and his brothers.

"Seanna, keep pressure on the doors. I'm about to take the house."

The night whooshed as he leaped, sailing through the air, and curling into a ball. Glass shattered off his Aliit'Gam and he was in, spinning his Beskad in anticipation of the next kill....

Objective: 4

Gray had to catch his breath. He had used more energy up using the force than he thought he had. He was going to have to get a bit more spring back into his step before he could advance forward. He listened to Kat speak through his helmet and then slide his hand up to the side of it. He said, " Don't worry about it Kat. If it would make you feel better though, I can go over there and cuddle with you for a bit." He let his hand fall down from his helmet when he finished. He had to admit that he would rather be cuddling with Kat right now than being in the middle of this fire fight. Sure he would have gotten punched several times in the shoulder if he did cuddle with her, but he wouldn't have to worry about death. Although he did enjoy a good battle, so it might not be so bad being where he was at.

Gray noticed a transport full of soldiers start to show up as militia advanced. He loaded a grenade into his rifle and launched it into the middle of the transport. Before the doors could drop, the explosive went off and killed every living soul inside of it. He put his hand back up to his helmet and said, " Kat, time to advance. We should look for the commanding officer and force a surrender. We might be able to save some lives on both sides if we do. And if not then we can cut the head off the snake. Win win. Oh and you go out first. I want to watch that rear sway as you go." Gray chuckled over the com before adding, " Kidding, I'll go first." He dropped his hand and went out at a tactical run towards the next set of cover.

With the government fleet destroyed, there was nothing stopping the shock troopers from boarding the shipyard, they had to get the troopers in via escape pods due to the fact that they couldn't dock their ships because of the government-controlled staff.

Wren was part of that boarding party, he had left command of the fleet to a trustworthy member of the Free Colonies and boarded one of the pods equipped with his usual aliit'gam, MT-14 HBP, and Besk'ad.

The pods were launched and they began their slow flight into the docking bays of the shipyard.

Once they had landed, mercenaries and troopers alike poured out and blasted the security that was stationed there, they were then divided up into squads to capture the ships while Wren and some Raxis Clansmen made there way up to the control room.

When they arrived they found that the door was sealed and would require them to blast through it, which they began to do.

giphy.gif
The door exploded and the squad rushed through, with Wren blasting one while the security inside took down a clansman, causing the rest to go berserk, killing all of the security within.

The control room was secure and so was the shipyard, the ships that were docked there were launched and joined the fleet while the volunteers went back to their business, after plundering the credits of the shipyard.

Wren's job was done, now all that was needed was for the government on the planet to topple.

Objective #2: Taxhouse

Tax season was here!

Jack found himself staring down on pallets upon pellets of tin boxes. Each was hovering on repulsor-shifts, the guards getting ready to wheel them out. But to where? There was an ominous silence as he simply watched through his helmet. His eyes flickered across the room, planning the shortest route of attack.

Most of the main force was engaged at the wall. In here there were maybe ten of them, holding real big guns. The type Jack had no business being hit with. His question was soon answered though as the roar of Ion Engines kicked up all around the Depot, rattling the walls like a small earthquake. The roof began to slide open. They were airlifting.

Jack moved quickly. Taking the guards would prevent a rig up. No rig, no airlift.

His muscles tightened as the dark energies of the force drove through them, giving him profane energy and speed. He jumped catlike from the balcony, reaching out and snatching a nearby rafter with his hand. His body never stopped moving, flipping over the rafter, he angled downwards and fell.

Right onto the shoulders of the nearest guard, crushing the grey clad man under two hundred pounds of Armor and flesh. He went down, Jacks blade clove his windpipe with a quick slash and he rolled, springing up off his shoulder. Rage thundered in his ears. His armored hulk sprang up from the roll right behind the next two.

Nimble sword work came into play, his fingers flexed and the Beskad thrust into one back, and then retracted, piercing organ and bone. Hissing marked the air as he whirled it twice, and struck two more times, once to the back of the second skull, and another thrust through the back. Blood and ichor exploded as his heart gave out.

The rest turned, Jack roared and the Clan Raxis warriors dropped, Charging into the fray, Besk'ads swinging with fury!

Objective 3 - The Baron and I are talking now...

Qarai's senses found Audren's aura coming up the stairs from behind him. The man had a very light centric aura, so Qarai knew not to worry about a stab in the back, though he still didn't know if it was an ally or not.

"Yes, that Viscount Teramo...from Serenno." Qarai replied to the bewildered Baron, who was having issue coming to grips with the doom and gloom aura that Qarai was spreading through the room. The upcoming lightsider was likely not going to like that. Qarai shrugged inwardly. "But that is neither here nor there, my good Baron. The fact of the matter is that you've turned this here planet into a dirty, frothy mess with your greed."

Audren came in at that point, though Qarai did not look. Instead, he just grinned at the Baron and his guard, as if this newcomer were an ally of his. No one had to know any better. Qarai had initially been planning on just killing the Baron, it was the quickest way to clear up the issue and he could get back to what he had been doing. With a lightsider here of indeterminate strength, however, Qarai knew he had to rethink his plan. He had to take a page from the history books of countless planets.

"This is my planet, you have no say here. Once I've dealt with these peasants, I'll thank you two to never darken my gravity well again." The Baron blustered, trying his best to cow Qarai and Audren as he undoubtedly had done countless times with the populace of this planet. The guard merely remained silently and crossed his arms.

"Well..." Qarai began, looking over at Audren and throwing him a wink, hoping he'd play along. "This populace has requested my assistance, I am installing myself as an interim governor, and you are under arrest. You'll be turned over to a council that the populace will appoint and be tried for your crimes." Taking a deep breath, he turned to the guard. "You can either arrest him, or stand trial with him..."

Now, Qarai waited for Audren, the guard, and the Baron to respond. His hands dropped to the sides, almost nonchalantly, fingers brushing the handles of his pistols.

They stood back, the droid stared at the gold door,it was quite large, the only exception on it's gold was the single, gray bomb attached. X30 pressed down on a remote, and the door exploded apart, making a large entrance. Upon entrance, guards began running around. X30 looked at the dead guards near the wreckage of the door, and said "Take the armor, nametags, and weapons, this just turned into a stealth op.." Upon the command, the Militia soldiers grabbed the armor of the dead, along with the weapons and nametags,as they equipped all of the items of the dead. X30 would pretend to be a Security droid, sent in to guard the Baron, then stun the baron, upon stunning the baron the Militia soldiers would blast the baron's soldiers and cause chaos. X30 would leave, and nothing would get in it's way.

Blood lust took him. As the Clan warriors hacked and slashed with a vengeance Jack was right there with them. Closing his eyes he drew the power of the force deep inside him, compressing it, feeding it with his rage. Will power seized the currents, whipping them into a mighty frenzy around his body.

He reached out with an outstretched palm, cementing a solid telekinetic hold on the guards. They began to turn as his focus increased, arms raising to aim at one another. Their trigger fingers resisted. Jack intensified his focus, head bowed and forced them to squeeze. They did, and bolts of green ripped into each-others chest armor.

There was still the issue of the shuttle hovering over them. Jack could feel them targeting him, feel the danger sense flare like waves crashing over ocean rocks. Both hands snapped out, raising towards the sky with the maximum power and fury he could muster. Crates of credits began to sail upwards through the gap in the roof.

They slammed the shuttle, one after another as they impacted. The damage was extensive, hull denting, superstructure crumbling. She took a massive beating and began to pull off....

Jack drew his Besk'ad once more, leaping high across the room and swinging with both hands from overhead. It came down into the skull of the last guard before his feet followed and hit the ground. Blood sprayed across his Faceplate, misting his view. It was done, they were dead....

"This Cap'n Raxis. Taxhouse is clear, moving to open gates."

Katelyn rolled her eyes at Gray's comment. Sure, he could be charming at times..but it did get rather annoying quickly. "Enough with the flattery, please?!" Her response sounded commanding but still as if she was asking him to stop.

Kat, looked towards her right to see a rebel arming a rocket-propelled grenade. Once the weapon was armed, it took one rebel to aim the weapon along with one to load up the ammunition and fire the weapon. A steel sphere went spinning through the air before landing a foot away from the turret. The Sphere let off a loud hiss of smoke before letting off an electrical EMP charge, disarming and temporarily causing the turret to go offline due to the power discharge from the EMP. Now, the soldier began to descend from the turret before being struck by a rebel throwing a well aimed grenade, tumbling over the soldier before exploding in a mass of flying concrete and shrapnel of metal with a fire raging where the turret previously stood.

Katelyn rushed out away from cover whilst aiming her pistol outstretched towards her right, firing upon any Baron Soldier's who were wielding melee weapons. She took out two soldiers before ducking behind a piece of concrete wreckage from the turret. She backed away from the piece of concrete before thrusting her right hand forwards whilst holding the pistol. She sent the concrete spiraling forwards, taking two soldiers with it.

Katelyn stood up from the cover before being attacked from behind, a soldier linking an arm around her neck, trying to choke her. This caused Katelyn to drop her weapons and grip at the man's forearm which was around her neck. She gripped the arm tightly before turning quickly and using her momentum to her advantage before pounding her back towards a nearby concrete wall. This caused the soldier's back to be slammed against the wall, causing the man to stop choking Katelyn for a short while. Katelyn brought her left metal arm around and slammed it into the jaw of the man, causing him to spit up a tooth along with some blood before coming at her again.

Katelyn swooped under the punch and around the man in a swift motion before elbowing the man in the left side of the head with her left metal elbow, causing the man to stumble over again. This time, reaching a hand up to his head. He charged again but Katelyn grabbed a knife which was strapped to her thigh before lunging towards the legs of the man, plunging the knife into the man's right knee-cap. The man collapsed to the ground in pain before Katelyn, begging for his life.

The man had blood flowing down from the left side of his head as he held his hands out, in a pleading motion. "P-please don't..don't kill me!"

"Fine, I won't do it. But tell me....where is the commanding officer?"

"I-i don't know!"

"Wrong answer..." Katelyn send another left hook towards the man's nose, causing the nose to bruise heavily and break with a sharp snap and crackle of bone and cartilage. Katelyn then took the knife in her left hand, fingering it idly with her mechanical fingers on her left hand. "Answer the QUESTION!"

"O-ok..he....he is over their.." The soldier pointed towards a man who was stepping out a pair of double doors. Covered in head to toe in heavy ballistic armor with a rifle hooked over his shoulder. The officer un-hooked the rifle before aiming it at Katelyn and firing.

Objective 3
The "Palace"

The instant Audren stepped into the room, he could feel the aura being cast by the other man. It was an extremely depressive one, likely to cause despair, discouragement, and desperation. He strongly disapproved: the aura was one very small step away from mental torture. He had no authority over the other man - apparently some bigshot from Serreno. Or enough of one that his name was recognized by the governor. A minor effort of will parted the aura around him, literally forcing it to not affect him. The other man might be innately strong with the Force, but the Sephi had the training. Besides that he left the aura alone, if it progressed further to direct mental manipulation or torture he'd step in.

"This is my planet, you have no say here. Once I've dealt with these peasants, I'll thank you two to never darken my gravity well again."

That comment got a faint grin, and the Knight almost gave a retort, something along the lines of the governor being large enough to rival the planet's gravity well. It was more fitting a member of the pirate crews hired to help though, and less a Jedi Knight. He held his tongue, and continued holding it as the Serrenan declared himself interim governor and offered the guard the choice of arresting the governor or facing the same trial. The Force indicated the man was thinking hard, despite his expressionless face. While Audren didn't try to read individual thoughts, he watched the general direction come to a head, firm itself up into something resembling stone.

The guard took a single step back, shifting his blaster to point at the governor. The scheme became abundantly clear in a sudden onset of precognition: kill the governor and hope that action prompted a reward. Who knew what he wanted that reward to be, maybe enough money to live the rest of his life in anonymous peace, maybe a position in the new government, or something else entirely. Whatever it was, the scheme wasn't going to work. It only took a minor shift in the Sephi's aim to re-target the man, and the minor effort of pulling his own trigger. Just as the guard's barrel was coming into line with the governor's head, a quiet hiss sounded and a silvery beam intersected the man's arm. Where a normal blaster bolt might have caused the muscles to clench and shoot the governor in the head, the ion beamer technology instantly numbed the arm. After a second's pause, more to make his point than anything else, the Knight fired again, this time hitting the guard square in the torso and accomplishing more of a traditional stun.

Another shift in balance centered the gun on the governor, who's forehead was rapidly starting to sweat.

"You are under arrest, governor. Surrender peacefully or be taken by force."

Objective 3 - The Former Baron, Audren, and I are having a talk

The elfin knight next to him was trained enough in the force to both detect the manipulative aura Qarai was exuding and counter it for himself. That was information that could prove beneficial later on, so he made note of it. He was also using a blaster type weapon rather than the traditional lightsaber, which might mean the man wasn't a Jedi. Of course, he could just be a progressive Jedi, Qarai had run across them before and they were at times more open minded than their conservative brethren and more dangerous by spades. Yet again, information that was noted in the instants of Audren's arrival.

The guard seemed to be turning to take out the Baron, but Audren was fast and already had his weapon out. First the arm was stunned, Qarai noted the use of an Ion beam set to immobilize, then the guard was fully stunned. The execution of the action was economical of movement and efficient. The man was likely a veteran of some of the conflicts around the galaxy. Such was not unusual, but it was, once again, worth noting. The knight then targeted the Baron once more, who was visibly shaken by the current events.

Audren Sykes said:
"You are under arrest, governor. Surrender peacefully or be taken by force."

Not one to miss a beat, Qarai sauntered forward, removing his hand from his weapon and pulling out a pair of wrist cuffs from inside his jacket. The effect would have almost made it look like Qarai was a legitimate law official, except for the padding on the cuffs. They were distinctly designed for things other than taking a prisoner, though they were functional for that as well.

"You heard my friend, and have seen him take down your guard as he was trying to kill you. Come quietly, I implore you." The Baron had little left to resist with. The knight held him under his sights, which Qarai was doing a fabulous job of not stepping into. Qarai was coming forward with wrist restraints. The sounds from outside, including an explosion that had rocked the room while the knight was stunning the guard, made it clear that the Baron's forces were not winning. He had little choice, he did not want to die, and this seemed like the only way out that would possibly give him his life.

"I know people who will make life for you and your family very difficult, Teramo." The Baron said as he held his wrists out. Qarai pulled the wrists behind the back and bound them firmly, making sure that the padding didn't allow the man to wriggle free.

"I'm sure my mother would be quite happy to hear that. You will most likely be incarcerated or dead, depending on the verdict of the council. Either way, you are a Baron no more." Qarai responded, taking the Baron by the upper arm and opposite shoulder and moving him towards the door. He'd seen many police procedural holo shows, and knew that this was the preferred method of moving prisoners. He then turned his eyes to the knight. "Thank you for the assist, I'll introduce myself later, but for now lets get him out of here safely." Qarai let the doom and gloom aura dissipate as he spoke, the air seeming brighter and fresher once it was gone. He grinned at Audren and let his mind rest for the moment. "We'll let the renegades know that we've captured this man, once they cool off the mob outside he can stand trial." Qarai wasn't one for trials, but with the knight here, he knew not to go for his normal tac.

Taxhouse:

The fall of the Governors palace spread among militia and Baron soldiers like wild fire. Without the backing of their leader they were effectively routed. No new orders could issue, no generals would even take up the mantle. Rebels still screamed at the gates as Jack strode out through the doors of the taxhouse. In one hand the Commander of the Watches severed head, eyes listlessly staring into space. In the other hand his Besk'ad shining with a bloody sheen.

Crimson splashed painted his frame up and down and the visor on his helmet glowed a dull blue, making him appear nightmarish to the soldiers.

"Soldiers of the Barony."

Jack raised the head with one hand, extending it out and then throwing it to their feet. It rolled across the courtyard, and the Raxis Clan warriors with him were just emerging from the structure, cleaning their blades with a nonchalant attitude.

"I just received a status report from my team that your governor has fallen. I am willing to make a bargain with you. Transmit this message across all open channels."

The Sergeant that was left nodded, activating his holocam so all across the brigades they could see Jack speaking and hear his words in their helmets.

"Your Government has fallen. Even now militia forces with out aid are bringing your Baron and the shipyards under our control. You have little food, water weaponry and means to resist. I am not an animal, I didn't come here for destruction. However when I see a people abused I am obliged to take action.

This is your chance for official pardon. Lay down your arms, and surrender to the militia. I will see to it that every man is treated fairly and with honor. You may choose to give up your profession, or join us here, rejoining your kin as an army. Your choice."

Jack waited another minute as the message flowed across the channels.

Guards in the courtyard dropped their weapons, placing their hands in the air. Jack strode past them, unlocking the gate with a swift movement and kicking it with a force enhanced armored boot.

It swung wide open and the militia filed in....

Objective: 4

Gray watched Kat's back as she got the information they needed from a soldier. He wasn't playing nice and so Kat was forced to keep punching him, and not in the playful she punched him all the time. The guy eventually broke and as he pointed them in the right direction, the commander showed up out of the door. The man saw Kat and pulled out his rifle. As he was aiming to take the shot, Gray was already moving towards Kat. As the shot was taken, Gray grabbed Kat by the shoulders and spun them around so that he was between her and the commander. The shot hit his armor and thankfully didn't penetrate further but did damage it. He didn't have time to move as the man took more shots at Gray's back.

Gray cried out as the extra shots found their way past his armor and into his flesh. He wasn't sure how bad the damage was, but it was enough to drop him to the ground. He could feel his blood begin to pour out of the wounds and pool onto the ground. He needed to do something to stop that commander from taking more shots at Kat now that she wasn't being covered by his body. It seems he did manage to make the guy use up all of his shots as he began to reload his rifle. Gray laid on his back and said as he looked at Kat, " You alright Kat? Hope none of those shots hit you." He coughed a bit and blood came into his helmet. He pulled his helmet off and winced in pain as he did. When he had the helmet off his face, he had blood on the corner of his mouth. He smiled up to Kat and added, " Looks like he got one of my lungs." He coughed up a bit more blood and wheezed after. Well this was great. He got himself into some serious trouble.

Even as she heard the call go out there it was Cover me Seanna. that what she did more then did she do that but also something else snapped in her the love of killing. As she let her sniper rifle do the talking for her, even she was a good distance way even with the clan charging the tax house she could still use her snipping skills. It was like child play with how could with the force curve the bullet tat the last second to send it spending at the next of her targets this causing it to seem like there was more then just a couple of snipers doing their job.

Getting into her own nest once again it wasn't in no time before they was moving on as she let herself over the private common. Even so she knew what her next moved was going to be that was not to let all the fun go to her Vode. Making her way to the point where she could feel something that happen awaken but on her hunts but this was so much more fun then those business meetings she had been having lately.

Even so she was caught up in the hunt to bring Justice so long time coming.

Objective 3
The "Palace"

Qarai took the Sephi up on the opening, literally sauntering forward as the governor was given the offer. He even had a pair of cuffs ready...except they weren't quite regulation. Fuzzy, padded handcuffs. No, most definitely not of the official variety. Audren refrained from any comments, merely raising an eyebrow disapprovingly. His opposite delivered one final bit of convincing, then the Baron countered with an empty threat as the restraint were secured.

"Thank you for the assist, I'll introduce myself later, but for now lets get him out of here safely. We'll let the renegades know that we've captured this man, once they cool off the mob outside he can stand trial."

As he spoke, the man allowed the aura to dissipate. Audren in turn allowed his mental defense to slacken, but not disappear. These people weren't the trustworthy type outside their own way. He nodded his initial response.

"Lets get him aboard my ship then, it's in the courtyard. He'll be safe enough inside."

That was a simple enough truth. The vessel was quite durable, courtesy of Mandal Hypernautics, and was one reason he'd chosen to use the type. In a show of apparent trust, the Knight was first out the door and down the stairs. He kept his senses well-tuned on his surroundings though, including the former Baron and his captor. Meanwhile he was holstering his sidearm and considering the likely reactions from below. To show the renegades that the man was captured, they had to see him. Some very well may lose control and try to kill him, they sure seemed bent on doing it now. He opted to fall back on mysticism, apparent omnipotence. Somewhat ironically, inspired by the aura the other man had been broadcasting in the room.

The Sephi's guess had been more or less correct. Upon seeing the former baron walking down the stairs, a few gave wild shouts and started moving towards the three. Never mind that having the pants of the security guards only halfway on made movement difficult, all reason was driven from their minds. Others followed, some better-prepared. The barest curl of his lip betrayed the Knight's disgust - he would barely need to put effort into the first part. A short, sharp sweep of his left hand - right to left across his body - carried enough Force power to trip up the first two runners, knocking their feet out from under them. The rest came to an abrupt stop as he ignited his lightsaber. The crimson blade carried certain connotations. Unpleasant, often painful and deadly ones.

"The baron has surrendered and will stand trial. Go home."

If the lightsaber had provided gravitas, the Force behind the words added to it. It wasn't a mind trick as such, or a depressive like Qarai had performed, it simply made the words resound a bit and carry an edge they wouldn't necessarily have otherwise. Of course, such a trick wouldn't work on droids. Lightsabers cut durasteel rather well though.

Through one of the windows to the side, only partially shattered by the bomb's shockwave, the Hathol was visible. The Sephi indicated the direction with a jerk of his head.

"That way."

Jack retreated back inside the taxhouse as the militia rounded up the soldiers, marching them off. He was hurting, a darkness wrenching free inside of him. He knew he should have rejoined the others, but it was a moot point. No right now what he needed was to asses his feelings, get to the root of his corruption.

With a grunt he ripped off his helmet, tossing it onto a crate and taking a seat cross-legged in the abandoned house. The Raxis clan warriors sauntered in behind, and Jack simply waved a hand.

"Leave."

"Aye buir."

And then he was utterly alone, feeling deep despair mixed with rage. The emotions coursed through him at an advanced rate, like cyclone ripping into his soul. They were intoxicating and terrifying. His head bowed, his eyes closed and he descended into the force, walking the currents in a deep meditation......
