Ain't That a Kick In The Head

That was a good question. Gravesen surmised that the girl's friends would arrive soon. The sun was beginning to come up, and if they truly cared, they would be looking at the crack of dawn. That was, of course, an assumption. Perhaps they had opted to just up and leave her. He couldn't see why they would; she seemed like a lovely young woman. His shoulders lifted up in a slight shrug.

"Wait for rescue. Rest." He said simply. He crossed back over to his sleeping bag, and plopped down on the cloth. He motioned for her to join him.

For better or worse, Gravesen had found an ally in this Jedi. There was no telling what might come out of that kind of partnership, but Gravesen was in no mood to second guess things right now. His limbs ached, and screamed in protest at even the slightest of movements. The wound on his arm still burned, and took every opportunity to make itself known. For now, Una's company was a welcome distraction.

"I suppose I'll be going to the capital..."

Una dragged her feet toward the sleeping bag slowly. Admittedly she was rather tired and she was beginning to feel it in her muscles. They felt heavy and unused as she stretched out beside him, resting her head on her hands. The purple sky above them still had a few stars dotted in the deepest shades, hidden partly by the oncoming clouds. "I can take you there. If you want." She turned her head to face him as she spoke, deciding instead to focus on his profile. She knew if she let herself relax too much the memories of today would come back to haunt her. She made a mental note to quiz her Master on the way she was feeling.

"Besides, I've never been to Roon and I don't suppose I'll be coming back after they find out what happened. So I might as well take it all in while I can." Her eyes traveled from his head to his chest, slowly going lower and lower as she continued to talk. Today had turned out rather different than she had originally expected. But she was glad she made a friend in Gravy. There was something about him that captivated Una and made her want to know more.

Gravesen listened to the fire crackle. It was sweet, satisfying, and represented some kind of safety in this force forsaken forest. He tilted his head back, and watched the stark orange of a newborn day begin to creep over the horizon. They had survived the night, and that was truly a testament to the will of the force. What else could it e, to have put them together in this situation?

"I would enjoy the company. I have no allies, save for the Architects." He explained. His voice was quite and low as he spoke. he tilted his head toward Una, met her gaze, and flashed a genuine smile. Companionship was not a simple pleasure in this galaxy any longer. It was a necessity, and Gravesen would not be the one to ask Una to leave. He needed her as much as he enjoyed her.

He leaned up on his haunches, and ran the bloodied machete through the cloth of his sleeping bag. The sticky black blood of the Kalaks had stuck to the white serrated edge, but it came away with minimal effort. Gravesen breathed a quite sigh, and slid it into its scabbard.

"I'm sure you can sense the force in me. I'm not aligned with any of the different Orders. I don't have the time, and my views are broad compared to that of the established organizations...if you were going to ask."

In all honesty, she had been ignoring the second force signature since the moment she felt it. She had a feeling it was Gravy but she decided not to question it. Meeting his eyes with a sweet smile she shrugged her shoulders. The leaves rustled beneath her as she adjusted her position to look at him properly. "Well I was interested. I just thought seeing as you hadn't mentioned it I'd leave it to you." Una was never shy about her force abilities and often showed them off when she returned home to Corellia. Both her parents hadn't found out till she returned from her trip around the Galaxy. She still remembered their reaction, as if it all happened yesterday.

"What are the architects?" She raised a brow curiously. If they were a sentient being she had never heard of them before. Una could feel the warmth of the early morning sun on her back now. It was a glorious introduction to a day she never thought she'd see.
