Akiva Practice

Mike followed [member="Salis"] ' movement. He struggled to keep up, but tried his best. He was always trying to give [member="Salis"] his best and brightest. He ws very happy that his best friend was helping him.

She could tell he was having some struggling, that was good in a way, it meant he was being forced to work for it. She sped it up a little bit, moving a little bit harder to test his abilities further. A few moments later she'd preform two much quicker strikes at him, still much slower then she could manage, but fast nevertheless.

Nodding again from Salis, he was getting a better handle on the techniques she'd shown him. It was time to mix it up a bit. "I'm going to start attacking you with a new style in a moment, I want you to try and continue using the methods you've been taught. Remember this is to train your physical skill with the blade, not your strategic measure." she explained.

After a few more seconds Salis would start using more aggression, switching from Soresu to a form of Juyo which had more powerful attacks and more of them, and less of a defensive strategy. Testing to see how he would react to it.

As [member="Mike V'Trechen"] expected, Salis's blade immediately returned and slammed towards Mike's, with the full intention of coming back to attack him from the side. Aggressive, destroy the blade when its a threat, destroy the body when its a target.

Good, he was picking up on it well, she returned her blade to her side to glance the weapon off. Juyo was not a good technique used without putting all into it, so it didn't teach as much as she thought she could teach him. She switch again, this time clearly moving to a more evasive style of Ataru, attacking with more quick strikes, but far less power.

Salis gritted her teeth and grunted as she stepped back quickly when he managed to graze her stomach and the weapons systems shot pain into her body. She hadn't quite kept pace apparently forgetting to keep the speed moving upwards and by the time he'd made the attack she had become a bit distracted. But it was a good sign for Mike, he was learning for sure.

"Good job." she said running a hand across her stomach instinctively, while she still congratulated him honestly, she didn't feel like it'd be good to let him assume he might have really gotten the better of her. "Let's test how long you can last when I do this." she said, pulling a second practice saber into her hand. She'd give him a moment to decide if he was going to pull another practice weapon to him, but either way, Salis would dash forwards, both weapons moving quickly to attack simultaneously but from different angles. Using Ataru to keep on her feet, moving, evading, every attack was swift and while weaker in power compared to Juyo, their speed and variety, along with angles, would make them far more difficult to defend against.

Mike saw that [member="Salis"] produce two sabers. He knew the odds were in [member="Salis"] favor. He started to try to dodge the lightsabers, but he knew that he would not be able to last long.

Mike seemed to be having trouble keeping up. He needed to see what it was like to fail, just as he needed to see what it was like to succeed. And now would be the time to see what it would be to fail. She moved faster and faster, every movement deliberate and agile, every step was carefully placed to avoid getting hurt herself, while putting her in a prime position to attack.

Mike started to figure out a plan to do, since he cannot keep dodging. He would surely get hurt and worse. He started to run away and jumped into a lake. He knew how to swim, but does [member="Salis"] know? Could he drown her.

Salis watched him run again, snorting in amusement as he jumped into a lake. She walked over the lake calmly, staring at it for a moment, "Hey Mike, guess what." her fingers would spark for a moment just to show off before she aimed them at the ground sending force lightning shooting into it, intentionally not strong enough to end up actually kill him. But she wagered it would really hurt. She felt he needed to learn plans don't always work out.

"Oh snap, too much." she said to herself leaping over the water to land next to him, grabbing and dragging him out quickly with the aid of the force. She considered just pulling him out of the water but she'd already made her move so she'd just have to deal with having gotten wet. She dragged him onto land and tried to check if he'd gotten water in his lungs or if it was just the electricity that had thrown him unconscious and he hadn't gotten much in yet.

Salis slapped her forehead, "Really overdid it there." she was not a healer and had not practiced such methods in terms of the force. She moved him on his side, trying to remember any instruction she might have. Push on chest to try and get more water out, try and do mouth to mouth, his heart was beating so at least that was one less problem to worry about. Just get the water out, get him breathing properly, and if he didn't wake up, get him off the planet to a medic. She'd probably have to take his ship hers was a bit smaller, designed for combat not transport as much. This had not gone according to plan.

Mike would be rushed to a more qualified location as quickly as possible within the Jen'Ari empire. After having done so Salis would step out and await, tapping her fingers on her saber she'd picked up while leaving. She was still soaking whet irritatingly enough, and there wasn't much she cared to do about it right now. In spite of some complaining from others about dripping.
