Wil Cindercurser raised his brow at [member="Vaudin Miir"] 's offer. "You realize the cost of this endeavor will cost billions if not trillions of credits.... certainly... No one man...." He wasn't going to finish his statement, surely they all knew what he was suggesting. "The republic is on the brink of collapse... it is high time we take all available funds and distribute them matters of war."

"Your people will be liberated... but things like this take time." He pressed no to all proposed options as it simply wasn't feasible. "I feel for your people... I feel for you... but nay. I will not sign my name to a bill that will further divide our forces' attention on something bordering fanatical and suicidal."

Alyesa sighed heavily and motioned. "It will cost exactly two point four billion credits over a three month period and perhaps a small fraction of a sector fleet." She gestured towards [member="Wil Cindercurser"]. "That part you do not control, You do not feel for the people of Alderaan and you do not control if I supply vessels at a cost to Incom Corporation." She slammed her hand down ontop of the podium before her. "I do." She stepped up closer to her podium and spoke louder than before. "I call upon the Supreme Commander of our Military Forces to testify before the Senate." A notification would be sent to [member="Zane Watts"] - summoning him to the Senate Chambers.

"It could even be done with a minimal of that three month cost should we choose to operate the Aegis alone." She motioned.

Sigh. Another one.

Zane swore once upon a time that he would not be forced to be seen in the Senate. Now, however, it was literally the major part of his job. Zane flew a desk, not a ship; he organised things and showed up to the Senate and looked pretty, instead of getting his boots in the dirt.

Unfortunately, he was being called to them now. There was no brief, just a summons - it only took the Supreme Commander five minutes to get to where he needed to be, as [member="Alyesa Praxon-Organa"] called him.

SupCom arrived, dress blues pressed perfectly.

"Supreme Commander Zane Watts, reporting as requested," he said, standing into his Senate... thing. Do we have pods? Whatever. Put Zane in a thing.

"Brief me on the situation," he ordered following, requesting that someone give him the ten-second rundown instead of the usual Senate poodoo.

She pressed a button on her podium to mute the sound before turning to [member="Zane Watts"]. "Please inform the Senate that the operational cost of this mission wouldn't hinder the war effort abroad." She brought an index finger to her chin in brief thought before raising it up. "We only need three of the fifteen Aegis-S systems in the Republic Navy. I will work on getting five systems sent to the Navy in the next few weeks if we can get this through."

OOC - Well...not sure how to proceed except this...

Alyesa turned to the pod her sister was standing in and nodded. "Incom Corporation pledges the resources and funding to this operation, as a private entity, and will not seek the assistance of the Republic. The loyal system of Alderaan and it's people do not need to be concerned with how this operation will be funded or where the resources will come from, Incom Corporation will handle it."

It was simple as that - cut through the red tape that already had caused enough damage surrounding her home planet as it were. There were certain individuals within the Republic who were Jedi and willing to lay down the funds, but the Republic as a whole was not. Curious, was it not? Incom would have to re-evaluate it's position with the Galactic Republic going forward.
