- Troop Transport: One of the AT-PAT's main roles is to ferry troops across the battlefield and deploy them wherever necessary. Because of the walker's protective armoring the troops hidden within its main body are relatively safe from harm.
- Powerful Armament: The AT-PAT possesses powerful weapon systems able to punch through most standard vehicle armoring. The forward heavy laser cannons allow the AT-PAT to decimate anything within its visual range, while the massive turbolaser mounted on its back covers it other flanks from attack.
- Tough Armor Hull: Not much can pierce the AT-PAT's reinforced armor hull save for the most dedicated of anti-armor weaponry.
- Weak Legs: While the joints may be reinforced, the entire walker can still be brought down by tow cable or other forms of trip-wire.
- Soft Underbelly: The AT-PAT's weakest point is its underbelly from which it disembarks troops, and a good solid hit can disable or even destroy the walker entirely.
- Slow: Like the ancient AT-AT, the AT-PAT is notoriously slow.
As the Sith Ascendancy spread its influence across the stars, it found that it needed to create bigger, better, and stronger weapons of war to subdue those who would resist their presence. Taking inspiration from previous and current Imperial regimes, the Ascendancy's Engineering Corps crafted an Imperial walker based around the ancient design of the All Terrain Armored Transport but outfitted with modern technology and instilled with their own Sith-Imperial aesthetic.
The All Terrain Planetary Assault Transport is a towering behemoth reminiscent of the ancient Sith war beasts employed by the Sith Empire of the Sith's Golden Age. Lumbering forward on four armored limbs the AT-PAT is but another symbol of the Ascendancy's growing might, and is armed to the teeth with forward mounted heavy laser cannons and a massive back-mounted turbolaser that can annihilate anything foolish enough to stray into its field of fire. But the AT-PAT does not only serve as a weapon to demolish the enemies of the Ascendancy, for it is also a courier of soldiers and smaller vehicles.
With the Sith Ascendancy finding itself embroiled on more and more worlds the production of such titans of war will increase exponentially.
