Amusement floated across his features.

The bath was still running behind him of course, slowly filling up, but in truth he gave it no real mind. What she said rang with him a bit, though in truth he probably couldn't relate all that much given his life style had been vastly different from her own. There had been a few times at university when he'd been cramped up with people, but that had been mostly by choice. Briefly in his youth he had wondered once or twice what it would be like to be a spacer or adventurer, but now?

Now he was more than fine with what he was. "It is nice."

The Financial Officer took another step closer towards her, his hands coming to gently rest upon her hips. His smile was still there, innocent, almost as if he were hinting at nothing.

"Let's people get away for a while." That was actually true. Everyone needed privacy, everyone needed time away, and everyone needed a place where they could just be themselves. Being cooped up on a planet like this wasn't easy, and it was even harder when you had to see the same people day in and day out. That was why Vanir had put this here. "In Privacy."

His gaze dropped down to her.

Now there really was nowhere else to look.

Her gaze shifted down slightly to his torso, searching for some sort of imperfection; he seemed too well groomed, too... manicured. She was used to seeing scars, welts, something which told a story, yet so far everything with Ein had been too clean and proper.

Imagine her surprise then when her eyes finally settled upon a line, a crack in an otherwise perfect exterior. One hand lifted, her thumb gently following it down his side, while her eyes returned to his in curiosity. Maybe there were stories she might understand after all.

His smile was infectious. With little thought to it she lifted one hand to his recently trimmed beard and tilted her head ever so slightly to the left, searching his gaze for... Something.

"And how is it you like to relax, exactly?"

There were no answers in his gaze, not really anyway.

Ein was an easy going, simple man. He didn't look for things that weren't there. He didn't ask questions that didn't need to be asked, and he didn't spend the day trying to figure out the galaxies problems. He was not deep, nor was he really the type of person to care about the galaxy at large.

He wanted what was best for himself, and those closest to him. In college the more ideal of his friends had called him shallow, even uncaring, but the truth was closer to the fact that Ein was simply a realist. The young man knew that he wouldn't likely change the galaxy, he only knew what he could do for himself. Perhaps it was selfish, perhaps it was even a bit immoral, but it worked. He cared about people in his own way, never hurt anyone, and always made sure people walked away from the table with nothing but smiles.

"Well." He said as his thumbs slipped beneath cloth. "I can show you."

Amusement floated through his tone. "But you'll have to promise to comply."

Nothing, the man gave her nothing to go by other than what he said. That was... Different. Usually she could learn a lot about a person by simply looking them in the eye, in fact it was unnerving to gauge nothing. For him to genuinely be so carefree.

He has his own problems, no doubt, everybody does. How does he keep them so... Guarded...

Now was not the time for such thoughts, of course. She lowered her gaze slightly as she felt his thumbs graze skin, and slowly exhaled the breath she had been holding. Part of her was freaking out, but she kept it pressed down low. So what if it had been forever since she'd let someone in, even for a short time, they were both adults. One of them clearly a little more carefree than the other, but still.

"Comply?" she inquired, lifting one brow as she met his gaze with slight amusement, "I don't know if I'd be very good at that." She stepped back ever so slightly, shrugging off her jacket... She couldn't very well bathe in clothes now, could she?

His hands slipped from her hips, though his gaze never left her.

"How unfortunate." Ein mused out loud. The bath behind him was still filling of course, but it would stop automatically once it reached a certain point. That was the benefit of modern technology after all, you didn't really have to worry about anything.

Even here.

The Financial Officer smiled for just a moment more, and then he slowly turned away from her. Though the room was relatively warm compared to everything on the outside, it was still a tad cold when you were standing in the nude. A few seconds later he reached the inground bath, looking back at her for just a second. "I suppose we'll have to try."

He mused as he stepped into the water.

She watched him for a second with a thinly veiled grin, even when his hands left her waist and he turned to walk from her toward the steaming water. This time she didn't even have to act coy, her cheeks rose in colour all by themselves, though she told herself that it had to be the heat of the room. It didn't help that she was still fully dressed.

Leaning down she began to untie her boots, kicking them off and settling them under the bench ... somewhat neatly. She wasn't the best at keeping things in order, but she was trying at least. No sense in ruining the beauty of the room with her dirty shoes. Next came her socks, which she shoved in her boots, and then with a very short sigh to steel her mind she lifted off the shirt and settled it over the jacket. By this point her back was mostly to him, yet she turned slightly to see what he was doing.

He was already submerged in the water, enjoying the heat which was no doubt soothing his muscles. Force knew hers were tired and achy. Almost crashing her ship didn't help matters. She was well and truly wound up tight. That was all that she needed to hasten her steps.

"Now, trying is something I can do" she quipped with another small grin, as she slid off her trousers and kicked them toward her boots. The chill of the air hit here, despite the steam which warmed her upper half, and she shuddered softly. Less than a minute later she stepped toward the water, goosebumps rising along her exposed skin, and the remainder of her clothes remaining behind on the bench.

She toed the water before stepping into the inground bath until it covered the majority of her chilled body. A long sigh escaped her lips as her muscles began to relax, and for a moment she simply enjoyed the silence which surrounded them.

Briefly Ein wondered how he'd gotten here.

Not in the bath of course, but way out here in the middle of nowhere, landing in this situation. Three years ago the very prospect of it all would have been something he'd mocked. The Outer Rim had seemed like a distant thing, a joke, yet here he was. His lips thinned for just a moment, curling into a smile a second later as he considered all that was ahead of him.

Them, he supposed. "Well now."

The water seemed to slosh for a few moments as Ein slowly began to move forward. The bath was more than large enough for the two of them, and there seemed to be no problem with him moving around.

Ein knew that in the future things like this would probably disappear. As the facility expanded things would become more personalized, everyone would get their own room and place, and opportunities like this would all but vanish. The thought made him want to laugh somewhat, mostly because of the idea of calling this an opportunity. All it was was just a little fun after all.

"We should try..." He drifted off as his arm slowly slipped around Kyra.

The sound of sloshing water drew her attention, and she opened her eyes to find him shifting within the tub. It was strange, but she felt surprisingly little in the way of embarrassment or uncertainty toward the situation... She had expected to feel some sort of negative reaction, yet there was nothing but contentment in that moment. Already she could feel the tense state of her muscles begin to unravel, and she leaned a little further back into the tub itself.

It wasn't exactly where she had seen herself when waking up that morning, nor what she had anticipated upon crash landing on a building site, and yet that was likely the appeal, was it not? No expectations, no fake promises for the tomorrows, just the here and now. For all she knew the storm might have passed come the morning, and they would never see one another again.

She might miss the not-so-scuffy nerf herder, or maybe just the beard. Just another face to add to the infinite others she had looked upon in her travels, and never saw again.

A smile settled along her lips as he spoke, a glimmer in her eye, as he draped an arm around her. Try? Yes, that was something she could do... though deep down she hoped for more than just that.
