All We Have Is Time

The Lancaster-Imperieuse Cottage
Time. Time had passed. And time was yet to come. Only one thing seemed to be there forever, and that was time. Time's exactly what Lilith had had. She had felt suffering, pain, yet joy, peace, and most of all -- time. Everything she had nowadays was time.

Which was heartbreaking. If you can do nothing with time, then why the hell do you need it? It seemed like the amount of time was inversely proportional with the amount of things to do.

And that was even more horrible of a thought. That's why she thought returning home, at least the place she'd once called home, seemed like a good idea. Mainly because then she could have something to do with her time. Not because she wanted to. Because two deaths and one life as a heartless sithspit had turned her into a person who could not quite feel love the way she had felt it before.

Sad. But that's how it was.

Now all she knew and wanted was dominion. And that was something she could definitely get, Force-sensitive or not. Seemed like a very good thought.

However, she knew Vitor couldn't be trusted with such knowledge. He was a poor soul who hated himself for what Lilith was. Which was only partly the truth. She would have gone to the Dark Side even without him, maybe just a little bit later.

Didn't matter a lot.

She looked at the door of the cottage. So simple. Just like she remembered it. Very little had changed in the outside of the place, only natives had started to avoid her more and more. The garden was a little bit more tended and looked really nice.

Although none of that matched her standards anymore.

She knocked.

Knock knock.

But she was in no hurry. Because time was all she had left.

Vitor received more visitors nowadays, considering the deep connection he now had to Emeritus and his desire for business to stay at home. As he opened the door, he began to give the spiel. "Nice to me- Lilith?" He froze for a moment - on one hand, he knew this could be an illusion or spectre, yet what stood before him seemed very real. A smile crossed his face as he moved forward, giving her a kiss on the forehead as he very firmly embraced her. "Lilith... You have no idea how much I missed you..."

"I haven't missed anything. Because I was dead," Lilith muttered as she hugged the man while her eyes looked around the interior of the place. Indeed, very little had changed and she kind of liked it. She felt like at home for once, like everything had stayed the way they were during her time away. It had been years, after all, and everything in the galaxy had changed during that time.

"I was resurrected. By a person I do not happen to know. He gave me no information about his name or anything, just said that you know him and that you should not tell me who he was."

She stepped into the room and sighed. After a while, she smiled once again. Being a human, a completely functioning one who had emotions, was odd, yet it was the best thing in the world.

"Odd, but whatever. I don't even care who he was."

She looked around a little bit.

"Was my creation brought to this house? The kid, I mean."

"I love you..." A series of kisses planted on her cheeks and lips would indicate just how utterly ecstatic he was tl finally have his wife back after all those years. "Merikh is here, yes. So is Lilin. So is Vindi." He turned to a console, typing into it at a frenetic pace. "They need to know you're back so we can celebrate... This is tremendously important." He turned back, giving her yet another kiss.

He couldn't help but love her.

"A celebration, eh?" the woman asked as she tried to move a little bit more inside the room. It was difficult if Vitor kept kissing her, but she could certainly understand why he did that. He was still madly in love, which she definitely wasn't. But that didn't mean she didn't love the man. She did, but not... like that anymore.

Death had taken a toll on her emotions and feelings, really.

"How have you all been living? Well, I assume?"

She didn't know anything about her children -- only their names, but nothing about who they were nowadays.

"We've been getting by quite well." He smiled. "I'm now a businessman. Lilin travels the Galaxy. Vindi is a tinkerer. And Merikh stalks the forest. She's probably watching all of us right now." He smiled, moving inside the house as he continued to embrace Lilith, raising a foot and using it to shut the door. "They'll be here soon - and I want to get as much of this out as I can, Lilith. My love for you has always remained immense - your death left a true void in my heart I've had great trouble filling."

"Well, my death didn't make me feel anything," she mentioned, even though that remark was completely not important and sounded ruder than it was meant to come off as. Ugh, she had turned into such a cruel person.

She sighed.

"I hope you've been strong and have managed to live on. It would have been a misery had you not managed."

One thing she really didn't enjoy was that she was no longer able to sense Merikh. She wasn't able to sense the Darkness and mold it according to her own wish, which was truthfully the only reason why she made the sithspawn.

"I... guess we have some time alone before the children come?" she asked with a rather pleasant warm tone, although it showed no emotion whatsoever.

"Your death made me feel as though someone had ripped my heart out. When I buried you - as awkward as that might sound - I was sure I would never find anyone who would be able to fill that hole." He leaned in, staying close to her, lips but a mere inch away, held off as his forehead gently pressed against hers.

"We've been strong. Prospered even. The a force seems to consider me a lucky man - a woman named Vanessa Kuhn provided me with hundreds of millions of credits and a position as head of a large corporation within the Republic. I finally have the prosperity I never thought I would get." He of course didn't mention Mivala, or the night he had spent intoxicated with Maja.

"I guess we do." He blushed somewhat, heartbeat intensifying as he moved forward to give her a kiss, arms gently wrapped around her waist.

The woman kissed the man back with passion, something a Sith would feel.

"Passion is not a Jedi way, Vitor," she said. "It leads to the Dark Side."

Her mutters were, of course, muffled due to the kiss as she talked, but her speech was still rather understandable. She talked with a teasing tone, hinting to the fact how contradicting the man was.

But that didn't matter at that moment.

"I've missed life as a human. As an emotional human, I mean," she talked once again in the man's embrace. "I've missed the feeling of... pleasure, enjoyment, love."

"I'm not a Jedi anymore, remember?" He smiled, giving her ear a kiss as he drew her closer. "But I am a good person, and I always will be." He leaned back a bit, sa print the still intact beauty of his wife. "As for your teasing... One would almost think you want to bring another pair of monsters into the world." He said that with however much endearment he could put into the term.

"And it is my duty as your husband to fulfill your needs."

Monsters?

At that moment, she understood the man doesn't know she is not able to use the Force anymore. No corruption, no Darkness. He didn't know that if she brought any more kids to the galaxy, they wouldn't be monsters.

"There ain't no need to have monsters..."

She smiled.

"... but if they come, it's just a bonus."

She couldn't completely understand what was going on at that moment. She didn't know how difficult it would actually be if she were to have more children.

He didn't sense the Dark Side in her. But on the same side of the coin, he didn't sense the light either. It was as though she no longer had the capability to touch the Force - though through some means he could definitely sense that she was indeed still the woman he knew and loved.

"I'll be happy with whatever children we have." He smiled, giving another kiss. "I always wanted a big family, but I didn't think I would ever be able to support it. Now I can ensure your and their security forever." He tightly embraced her, giving her more kisses as he reached over to grab a blanket. He could always get a new one if it was soiled.

For now, he had a living wife to please.

It was clear now that Vitor had an obsession and an addiction with children. Why so, she had no idea. If he wanted a huge family, then why the hell hadn't he made them with anybody else? She would have wanted to ask, but that would have just ruined the whole mood and atmosphere.

"If that's what you think..."

She kissed the man with passion, at the same time thinking -- what the hell makes the man think she would get pregnant? Maybe she couldn't even get pregnant anymore? Was all of that really about children to the man?

Did he still love her at all or was all of that because of children as well?

That man was too caught up with family, she could tell.

"It's what I know, Lilith." He smiled, giving her forehead a smack with his lips. "I love you. And no one else has ever made me feel the kind of feelings I have towards you, Lilith. What you are to me is as a positive quark to a negative quark - the very smallest fragments of existence, perfectly made for one another, the building blocks of all matter in the entirety of the Galaxy." He shed a tear, thinking of how close she was to him as an individual. "All I can hope and pray to the Force is that your love for me is as much as my love is for you." The feel of her gentle flesh made him shudder a bit - still his subconscious had difficulty accepting that she was alive.

"When we're done... I'm making you a grandiose dinner fit for a queen. Then we'll get off this world for a vacation and I will ensure you are treated with every single fragment of luxury that you deserve. As my love. As my wife."

It was odd to touch a person like that. It had been so long since she last touched a person, let her hand brush them, move around the warm flesh of the person. The thought of that made her feel even more pleased. For once, she was able to feel true pleasure again.

"A vacation is truly what I need," she said as she kissed the man. "And a dinner as well."

She looked at the man and smirked.

"Love is all I feel right now."

To Vitor, the memory of what happened afterwards was quite blurred. He experienced, at his very core, a combined feeling of physical and spiritual love that ran through him, wiping out any and all other feelings or sensations. When he was finally cognizant of the situation, he found himself within his and Lilith's bed, curled up with his beloved wife as both were wrapped in a fuzzy blanket. Smiling, he took an arm and gently wrapped it somewhat around her, snuggling up close. Absolutely nothing could ruin this feeling.

"Dad?" A male voice perked up - Vindi's voice.

Well damn...

Oh goodness...

Lilith didn't quite recognise the voice. However, as soon as she looked at the man, she noticed the similar facial structure of hers and Vitor's. If that was Vindi, then she and her husband were pretty much screwed.

"Oh dear," the woman muttered as she crawled out of the blanket.

She looked into the eyes of the boy, sighed, and said, "Hello."

Pretty lame, but she didn't know what else to do at the moment. She was completely full of panic, didn't know how to act. She looked at Vitor, her anxious eyes telling the man to do something about the awkward situation.

"Oh... Vindi..." He stuttered a bit. "I, um... Didn't expect you and Merikh to come in so soon."

"That's your excuse for bringing this woman to our house?" Vindi crossed his arms in frustration. "I expected better from you, Dad..."

"Son, you do realize that's your mother, right?"

He turned, raising an eyebrow, paying more attention to Lilith's overall appearance as he did his best to ignore the fact that she wore nothing. Yes, she looked a lot like Lilin did. "Oh... Sorry, mom." Trying to claim she wasn't who she was would've had his father snapping at him - and if his father said she was his mom, who was he to doubt?

"Long story short, stuff happened and she's alive again. We'll finally be a family again - when Lilin gets back from her trip, anyways. Where's Merikh?"

Lilith grinned slightly as Vitor had to introduce her to her own son. Ah, what a wonderful experience. However, Lilith herself barely recognised the boy, so they were rather equally faulted in this matter.

She took a dressing gown and put it on to cover herself a little bit. As she did that, she started walking towards the kitchen while, passing Vindi, she patted on the boy's shoulder. She was definitely not the same person she was before being resurrected.

But was it really a bad thing?

She walked on to take a fruit -- which she wasn't too familiar with -- from a basket as she started walking back to the bedroom.

"Well, Vindi, I am your mother. And so sorry for what happened here," she said.

"Dad said you died giving birth to me." He raised an eyebrow, still confused in more ways than one. "But... You're back. I guess this means we have eighteen years of child to go over again, huh?"

"Vindi..." Vitor gave a sigh. "I know she wasn't there for your childhood, but she's here now, alright?" The younger Imperieuse said nothing, but turned to his mother and gave her a firm hug.

"Alright... Welcome home, mom."
