Kay stood in the refresher and starred at herself in the mirror. Her hand still tingled from where he kissed it. They were connecting in a way that she didn't think she could. But in the back of her mind an old thought haunted her. Twice now she had lost husbands to Sith Lords. But who was to say that she would marry again? That was just the dreams of her youth resurfacing.

Gunther was a dreamboat though. He was handsome, charming and funny. He knew how to make her feel comfortable. And his eyes...

Kay got herself dressed in her nightgown and slid into bed. Tomorrow was another day. Maybe she'd spend it out of the shop. Perhaps the two could go exploring together. She deserved a day off, afterall.

The Next Day

Gunther groaned as he awoke from his slumber, a slumber filled with dreams of a certain grey-eyed woman. Stretching her slipped out of bed and began to perform his morning routine, though as quietly as possible as to not wake Kay who he thought was surely still sleeping.

He started with some quick exercises, taking no more than thirty minutes. Then he made sure to inspect his armor and weapons. Finally he took care of his hygiene, slipped into his armor, clipped his weapons to his body and slipped out of his room.

Trudging downstairs quietly as he could he checked around the shop, looking for any signs that someone had infiltrated the premises. Satisfied that no one had he made his way into the lab. Remembering Kay telling him her favorite tea Sapir tea he found the tea and quickly boiled the water necessary and made her a cup, while also making himself a cup of Cassius tea.

Kay was an early riser. It came from the habit of being a Mom. Yet while Gunther was exercising, she was propped up in bed, reading one of her holonovels. Was yesterday just a dream? She wasn't sure. But out of the lack of wanting to be disappointed, she stuck with her own routine.

Time soon passed and she thought she heard someone walking down the stairs. That was enough to tell her that it wasn't a dream. Kay smiled and put her holonovel away, then slipped out of bed to the refresher for a shower.

A little while later she was dressed, choosing her nicest pair of slacks and shirt that she could find in her limited wardrobe. She had no jewelry or anything of the sort like she used to when she was a Queen, so she made due with what little she did have.

Making her way down the stairs, Kay caught the whiff of Sapir tea brewing. Ohhh her favourite. She walked over to the back room where Gunther was preparing it, noticing the armour that he wore. "Good morning. On the clock already? Shall I make us some breakfast? I figure that we can go into the forests today and collect some herbs. Doyle can look after any customers while we're gone."

Gunther heard Kay long before she entered the room, one of the perks of being Mandalorian was one often trained their senses much better than non-Mandalorians, well that and the fact that the technology they shoved into their armor helped with such things.

Taking off his helmet he set in on the nearby table before turning around and handing Kay her tea before taking a sip of his own. "Well good morning to you too. Hope I didn't wake you." Smiling he let his eyes roam over her figure, aware of the fact that inside his armor he stood even taller than her. He also noticed that she was dressed rather nice. "I hope you didn't dress up for little old me..."

He chuckled and shook his head at her question about being on the clock. "I'm your bodyguard m'lady, I am always on the clock. As for breakfast that is up to you. Your daily plans seem like a good one though we should probably go to the market as well..."

Kay took the tea in hand and sipped it as he did. Her cheeks reddened slightly as he suggested that she dressed herself up for him. She tilted her head to the side a little, "Perhaps I did...Your armour suits you, though I'm glad that you don't live in it like some Mandalorians do." There were some that she knew that never took theirs off. Even their helmets were hardly ever removed.

Gunther reminded her of the market. Oh yes, they were supposed to take a look at veils. Kay nodded. "We'll hit the market first, maybe grab something to eat while we're there. Afterwards we'll go into the forest, I think." She sipped her tea as she formulated it all in her mind. She wanted to spend her day alone with him just to see what it was like. Hopefully it'd be a good day.

He grinned as he saw the reddening of her cheeks and reached his hand out to stroke the her hands that were holding her mug, full well knowing that it might cause her cheeks to redden even more. "Well if that is the case then you look lovely. Thank you. Us Corek's are a clan apart from others. We are comfortable with taking our armor of because we recognize that Mandalorians are more than just our armor."

When she gave him her revised plan he nodded his head in agreement. "Now that sounds like a plan I can get behind. Breakfast, shopping and then a nice stroll through the woods." Gunther had to admit a day alone with Kay sounded like a extremely good plan to him so he would be on his best behavior and only thrash those who messed with her.

Her cheeks did indeed redden a little more as he stroked her hand. Kay sipped her tea again in a bid to hide it, however. She nodded at his compliment. "Thank you. I had a light suit of armour of my own once. It even had a personal cloaking device. But it's gone now..." Probably destroyed.

She sipped her tea again as he commented on her plans for their day. Kay then set the cup down. It had to be a quick breakfast for she was eager to get out and about. With water already boiled, she prepared some porridge and fruit for the two of them. And of course she stole some glimpses of him when she could. "What colour of veil do you think would suit me?"

Gunther's smiled somewhat smugly when he saw her cheeks indeed redden even more. "Well it would be a grevious crime to let a lady so lovely as you go uncomplimented when you look even more lovely. Mmmmm somehow I think even in armor you'd look just as lovely."

As Kay cooked their small breakfast he indeed noticed her stealing glances towards her and decided to tease her somewhat. Walking up to her he stood beside her and leaned against the counter before taking his hand and gently dragging it up and down her back. He continued to do this as she asked about color veil she should choose. "Hmmmm I think a sheer light grey...something that matches your beautiful eyes."

Oh he was a smooth talker. Yet of course it had the desired effect on her. Just as her cheeks were going red, Kay found herself warming up to him. It was odd that it was happening so suddenly. "I find armour to feel....restrictive in some ways. But that could just be because I'm not used to it."

Kay was very mindful of Gunther moving close to her. And she was especially aware of him stroking her back. She closed her eyes for a moment, letting herself get lost in how it felt, but then snapped out of it. It was time for breakfast. She presented him with his bowl and then collected her own. "Would that be too light to hide my face enough? Or would that depend on the lighting we use?"

Just like before Gunther knew he was a smother talker and took as much advantage of it was possible. He too found it quite odd that he was warming up to Kay so quickly, it often took him weeks maybe even months before he let someone get close to him but with her he felt like he could be himself. "Yeah armor can be that way but when you get the right set it feels like a second skin..."

He grinned as he saw her close her eyes, knowing full well that she enjoyed the stroking of her back. He would admit that he was somewhat disappointed when she turned around and handed him his bowl of porridge. Taking it he sniffed it and smiled. "It smells great. As for the veil, if we keep the lights in the room low enough and make the stage you'll be dancing on far enough away from the client then they'll be able to make out the shape of your face but nothing more."

Kay put the bowls of porridge between them on purpose. She wanted to maintain her focus on their tasks at hand for the day, and not entirely on him. Gunther was....very distracting.

She started on her porridge, speaking again after having a mouthful and swallowing it. "Alright. I'll take your word for it. You know about this far more than I. We'll keep an eye out for the right type of veil too. But I'll pick out some other things, just so that no one can suspect me. Whereabouts do the potential customers come from? I would hope that none of them know me." Wouldn't THAT be embarrassing! Gunther was the only one that she wanted to dance for that wasn't a stranger.

Gunther was a rather smart man and realized what Kay was trying to do when she placed their bowls of porridge between the, though that wasn't something to stop. As he sat down and began to dig in to his own porridge he slid his hand so it was next to her but didn't touch her, letting her decide for herself.

He mulled over her words as he dug into his porridge, surprised by just how good it was. "It seems cooking as also a great skill of yours." He grinned at her after saying this before taking a few more bits of the porridge. "Saying I have more knowledge is a bit of a stretch. Most of the time I was in any places I was more focused on my drink and the ladies...as for the clients it should spread through word of mouth rather easily. We can maybe set up some kind of holonet thing to weed out people you don't want to dance for..."

His hand was right next to hers. It was so close that she could feel the heat off of it. She ate another mouthful of her porridge and swallowed it, giving him a smile and patting his hand after he complimented her cooking. It was an easy excuse to touch him.

Kay kept her hand there while she listened to the rest that Gunther had to say, nodding a little at his suggestion of using the holonet to pick out clients. "Yes, I like the idea of being able to choose. I imagine that the first few times, I'll be rather nervous. But practice makes perfect, right?"

Gunther smiled as Kay patted his hand and he decided to tease her and after she patted his hand he turned his own over and began to gently tickle her palm, his smile turning to a grin all the while.

When she spoke about being nervous the first and being able to chose. “Well hopefully the holonet site will be able to filter out the weirdos, anyone who falls through the cracks...well that’s what you gave me for. Well you’ll be able to get some practice when you dance for me tonight...”

Kay looked over to Gunther as he tickled her palm. She smiled and then just held his hand while she continued to eat her breakfast with the other.

She nodded to his response. Yes, she had hired him for a reason. He'd watch over her and protect her in case anyone tried anything. If she didn't have him, Kay might of opted for an energy shield instead.

At the mention of her dancing for him, her cheeks blushed a little. Yes, she was still a bit shy about that. Perhaps it was because she was falling for him. "And what kind of music do you suggest?" Singing was probably out of the question as her voice might be recognized.

Ah there it was, the smile he was trying to elicit from her, the smile he was starting to enjoy more and more. Of course he still tickled her palm as she held his hand.

He continued to eat his porridge as she thought that she could substitute him with an energy shield. Admittedly yes a energy shield would do most of the work of a bodyguard but not the things like say, hold her hand and tickle her palm while eating porridge.

He grinned when she blushed at the mentioning of the dancing later, he would admit too that he was becoming more and more enthralled with the idea of being around Kay...permanently. "Hmmmm something that YOU could easily dance for, the men and women who you'll dance for won't be listening to the music anyway..."

He was relentless in his pursuit of tickling her. It wasn't quite fair for her though, as she couldn't try to tickle him as he was wearing his armour. But she'd get him back later.

Finishing her breakfast, she downed the rest of her tea as well. But one thing that Gunther said caught her attention. "Men AND women? I didn't think that women went to such places..."

Gunther was distinctly aware that his tickling of her might result in some sort of revenge on Kay's part later, in fact in the back of his mind he was counting on it. Seeing her finishing her food he made sure work of the rest of his porridge before gulping down the rest of his tea, he was more of a caf man honestly but for Kay he was willing to make a few changes.

He chuckled at her and shook his head when she's seemed surprised that women would be interested in coming to her dance. "Contrary to popular galactic belief men are not the only gender who derive entertainment from such things. During my time in the Marine Corps I had more than a few female squad members who enjoying their time at such places."

"Yes but wouldn't that be for...men dancers?" Aha! Maybe that was what Gunther was getting at. "Are you going to be dancing for the ladies?" Kay was partly joking. Partly. She winked at him anyways. "I think that you may have the right bodytype for it."

Kay then grinned and got to her feet to put away their dishes. "I suppose that I wouldn't see anyone through the veil anyways. And if the lighting is done in a certain way, I could pretend that I was in my own little world..." That would certainly be helpful.

He chuckled and shook his head at her in a understanding but also teasing way. "There are woman who prefer the female form Kay just as there are men who prefer the male form and there are even some who prefer both." He laughed heartily when she asked if he was to be dancing for the ladies and shook his head. "No...no dancing for me just guarding. I'm not as smooth and as graceful as you." He smiled at her wink, it bringing a warmth to his chest.

He smiled as she grinned at him and put away their dishes. "Yes I suppose that is true. Now shall we go to the market?"
