Always Greener

Darben listened as she spoke. They both were a miracle, yes. Such wonderful miracles. And he would give anything to see them grow, to see them live their lives. He leaned his head to her shoulder, sighing quietly. His beautiful wife, and two daughters were the family he had thought he could only have in dreams. Yes, it did not have the best of starts, beginning through tragedy and pain and loss. But it led to this. This perfect moment.

"You know...I know of why it is, but how did it happen?" he asked. Darben wondered just exactly why it was not possible, even though they still managed. What had happened? In fact, he did not know of many of her scars.

She sighed, adjusting herself q but as she placed a arm around him while thinking it all over, how she became who she was the scars, the augmentation, nearly dying on a few occasions....to think she would make it to 48 was a crazy thing

Looking over to darben she gave a smile

when I became a super soldier, part of the process made me infertile....then a few years ago when my planet was attacked I was stabbed in the stomach...I was sure then that sealed it then but...I guess the force had something else in mind...a reward for everything I've done

Darben Skirae put a hand on her shoulder as she spoke, explained it to him. And he understood, and he was grateful. "I thank the Force for Brigh, then...though that means we can't try for another, right?" Even if they wanted to, he wondered if they could handle another child. Of course there were always other ways, but in this time of the galaxy, it would not be the right time to do so. They had barely escaped from Commenor and the Sith Forces there. "You have been through so much...And I haven't. You've managed to stand through it, and I always wonder how..."

Stardust thought about it, it was possible she could have another...however...such a low chance to even have another and she wasn't even sure it would go as smooth as brigh.

we could but..there is such a low chance and I'm not sure if it would be as smooth as brigh...

Two seemed to be enough, but with renla right at that age...another or maybe in the future could happen but for now stardust had to focus on bringing peace. She wanted the Sith ride of so that her children may live without worry. Looking to darben she glanced forward with a sigh

the many cower down and try to hide from the chaos...someone has to stand and take the brunt of it all so the others may survive

Darben Skirae believed the very same. It would not be the same. Dangerous maybe, even. He didn't know but [member="Stardust Australis Skirae"] seemed to know them. She was always more forward thinking. "Then we keep that for a much later time."

Darben sighed back. "We had this talk, Star. Your family needs you. When you go out there..." he had made his decision. "So I will go out there too. To make sure you come back."

She sighed, put that thought in the back of her mind for a much later date in time, her husband next words caused her to set up and look at him...she wanted to tell him no that he needed to stay here make sure brigh stayes safe but...she would be the pot calling the kettle black if she did such

I know I cant stop you... so...I want to try teaching you again how to actually fight

She didnt want to but it he was to follow her out into the field of war he needed to

Darben would go along with it, if it helped him protect his family then this would be his new set path. His job as a Minister was behind him, now. Nothing more he could do except fight...and that he would do. "I want to protect my family. And if you are away, I need to know how to fight if I can't join you. Times are more dangerous than ever, now" he said, putting a hand over hers. All he wished for, was to protect his family. If that meant learning of how to deal harm to those that would attempt to harm him, then he would do so. No one was going to harm his family again.

She sat back down, he was right of course he needed to know how to fight. Brigh was already learning how to fight with a light saber, she knew how to use stardust westars already with decent aim...force forbid any time soon the young girl had to actually use them to kill

I'm trying not to be far away at all from the family...and of I do need to I at least attempt to bring everybody

She turned her hand and held his tightly as she took a breath and sighed, looking away for a moment she closed her eyes and focused on the force before looking back to him

Darben held her hand, clasping his other hand under hers. This was the woman he had chosen to marry a few years back. The woman he was to love. And the woman he was to protect, as best as he could. "This ring, on both of our hands. You remember what it symbolizes?" he asked, looking to her eyes as she looked back to him. Then he began to speak of what it meant to him.

"To me, it means no matter what stands in the way of either of us, we both go through it. These rings show that as long as we are together, we can be strong. And we will always be strong, as long as we both wear these rings and remain together." Darben had sworn an oath to her. An oath to never leave her side.

At his question she looked down in thought, it meant so much to her and symbolized a lot to her. Looking back up into his eyes she listened as she relaxed and gave a smile nodding her head as she took a breath

to me, its symbolizes a bond. A physical one that can not be broken or worn down...itll stand through hell and back...rain and sun. A promise to forever be dedicated to the other and help them through the good and bad. My promise to you darben my husband

She squeezed again and leaned her forehead to his gently, simply relaxing against him with a soft smile across her face

Darben Skirae could not agree more. A bond, one that was not to break. No matter how much stress, how much pain, how much suffering, it would not break. "And Stardust, my wife. Know I will never leave your side" he said as their foreheads went to one another. Neither of his daughters would be put in danger again, as long as he and their mother lived to watch over them. Together. For however long it was, he didn't know. He just let go into the moment of peace and quiet, there with Star. The Star his life revolved around. He would do anything for her, anything he was capable of and more, he would stretch his own bounds to do that which he was not capable of. As she had said, stand through hell and back.

Stardust let silence take over, no words at all, she let a breath out after awhile and sat up before she spoke

how about we head into town and look over some potential shops and get some lunch, unless you wish for me to do some home cooking

With that stardust stood and walked to the kitchen to check what she had

"Home cooking, that sounds nicer" he said in answer. Plus he had been taught how to cook, himself. So he would be able to help out. He followed her into the kitchen, the past conversation just passing right by. He himself looked around as well, seeing what he could find as he helped [member="Stardust Australis Skirae"]. What perhaps could they make...or would they need to shop for some things and bring something back.

She nodded, looking around she found it had been stocked up still. Pulling a few things out and looked at what was gathered and decided a Salisbury bantha steak would be a amazing meal with sauteed mushrooms and a awesome grown gravy sauce

alrighty a Salisbury bantha steak shall be our lunch, let me get the pans on

She moved a few pans to the stove and got them on, a gentle tune hummed through the air sounding like a nabooain theme almost as she put the steaks on

Darben Skirae nodded as he began to help with getting things out. He began to hum the theme along with her. He knew how to make this, it would not be the first time doing so together. As she did the pans, he focused on the gravy itself. Sauteing the mushrooms first, and after that he would stir up the gravy itself. He wouldn't want it to be too thick, or too liquid. He had to get it just right.

The meal was soon finished, stardust moved the steaks qnd mushrooms onto the steaks before nodding and toking to see if the gravy was ready

I'm going to have to try and remember a recipe for fish, wouldn't mind having some for dinner tonight

Naboo did have a good stock of fish, she wondered what exactly she could get from the markets

Darben Skirae nodded. "Naboo, it has lots of fish doesn't it?" he asked, he knew a bit and one of the things was it's range of life. Something exotic would be nice for a dinner. He poured the gravy upon the steaks, then took his serving to the table and sat at it. Waiting for his wife to join him in their meal. He even pulled her chair out for her. "Queen, your chair awaits."

indeed it does its oceans are brimming with different wildlife so I'm sure we can find something exotic maybe or something normal we'll see

She leaned down and inhaled the scent of their meal as she smiled and nodded her head humming a bit as she turned and followed stopping to slow as she bowed her head

why thank you, my king

She said and sat down

He grinned over to [member="Stardust Australis Skirae"] at the response. And once she was sat, he began eating. It was a good meal. But there were a few things on his mind, things he did not wish to share just yet as he ate the meal. Some things that perhaps could be discussed on later. His eating utensil scraped on the plate as he finished up, and then sat back. "Always a great meal when it comes from you. Compliments, to the chef."

[member="Darben Skirae"]

why i had help from my amazing assistant! Otherwise this meal wouldn't be such a good one

She said waving a hand towards him and smirking, ignoring the fact she could feel a few things bothering him but she didnt wish to press at all. Finishing her meal she said her silver ware down and sighed chuckling a bit as she looked over at him and her smile drew

well I say now we should head to the city and walk this meal off, dont you agree?
