Mard Szaks
Roar.
[1/20]
*CRACK!*
The sudden sound startled Mard out of his slumber. It had an association like nothing else in his life, being a reminder of his youth. A slap. Delicious, in a way, because it had woken him from an unwanted sleep. Painful otherwise, since the memories of it were. "Wha- what?" He seemed to be lying in a hole in the ground, as evidenced by the grass walls around him, and the colour of the sky above being the only things he could see.
It was time to move.
So Mard shifted his massive frame upwards, looking out of the small sink-hole towards the source of the sound. As he did so, he could not help but notice that the place was rather comfortable, cradling his frame wonderfully, luring him back to sleep. But he had to ensure he was safe first.
Sticking his head out of the hole, he called out: "Whaddaya doin'? Loud noises ain't fun." Then he stretched a little, and had to yawn, showing the whole array of his rather yellow teeth in a magnificent display.
Without waiting for an answer, he slunk back into the hole. The ones he saw were on their side, he was pretty sure.
No use fretting about it.
Just... sleep.
