Honestly, Aloy was close to crying at this rate. She had refused to adopt when she was with Darsch Vizsla because she thought she'd be a horrible mother back then. Even with Tan'yill years late, She still hasn't brought up the idea with the love of her life. She'd just explained that she led criminals and renegades and yet this child saw her as a mother figure. A role model even.
Following this creed and not promising to raise her was really difficult right now.
"You're very sweet, Jade" She gently hugs the girl again "No one has betrayed me. Okay a lot of people have but not today."
"What I mean is... If I were to raise you, Not as a mandalorian but as... Something else, Some would think I had betrayed them. Betrayed our creed. They might see me as soulless, No longer mandalorian..."
She sighs and sits back, Reluctantly letting go
"But we can talk more about that another time. First, You have questions, And then need of a trainer."
"Hm. The leg is durable enough, I guess. It's made of durasteel, Like my ship. Soometimes I have to buff out dents or blaster shots, Tighten a bolt or two. It's nothing like Beskar"
"Which reminds me~" She takes the metallic knuckle plate and taps it against her breastplate, Producing a high pitched and reverberating hum for a few seconds, Echoing through the woods around them.
"My armor is made of pure beskar, Gifted to me by a dear friend after the sith purged our homeworld, Where the only Beskar mines in the galaxy can be found. It's sacred to my people, And almost indestructible. It is very rare, And worth more than most could pass up. But it is the symbol of my people, And we do not let it fall into the hands of outsiders. We make our armor from it, And pass it down to our children who will then pass it down to theirs. Most only ever see an ingot or two."
"I think my armor shows just what we meant to each other, My friend and I."
