An Exchange [Mandalorian Clans]

Alderaan.jpg

The peaceful world of Alderaan had recently come under the sway of the Mandalorian Clans. Having been left to fend for itself after the collapse of the Republic, the remnant of the Republic military had become the planet's sole defense force. Republic forces had never been as good as Mandalorian forces. As the world was on the edge of Mandalorian space, Verz had seen that it would pay for the Alderaanian forces to be trained alongside Mandalorian forces.

Most of the larger Mandalorian ships were either in dry dock being repaired, or out on the fringe of Clan space on patrol. With Omega behind them, the remaining large ships were needed for patrol duty. The Nexus Mk 2.5 Atin'la Baar had been appropriated by Verz for this task. The ship had served in the Omega battle without a scratch, and its gunners had fired the killing blow on at least one Rogue Sith vessel. As a result of this kill, a large Sith emblem with an ugly gash across it had been painted on the side of the hull.

Having a hanger bay, it would allow for starfighter pilots and ship officers to be included in the training that they were offering. Ground forces could be trained on the planet's surface at Mandalorian bases. Verz had already arrived at said hanger bay, heading towards a shuttle that was being prepped for landing.

Cole was a stubborn SOB. He should still be back home resting and rehabbing. Instead he was just walking into the Hangar [member="Verz Horak"] was boarding a shuttle in. One arm was in a sling from the injured shoulder. He still had a slight limp from the broken ankle and blaster wound.

He wore his Echani armor and blaster but had left his sword back at home. Cole took a look around before making his way to the shuttle. Of course in his condition it would take Cole and extra minute or two to get there. When he did he would give Verz a bow of his head.

"Got room for one more?" "If i have to spend another day in a hospital bed I am going to go insane." "May as well teach until I can get back in the field."

Captain Sammo, or Sammo Halon as he presented himself to Mandalorians, has recently re-joined the ranks of Mandalorians, swearing his allegiance to Mandalorian Clans and Mandalore Ra Visla. Currently the Warden was busying himself inside the armory on board of Atin'la Baar, strapped with a new suit of generic Mandalorian armor made out of durasteel, adjusting it on himself as he looked into a mirror. Sammo turned around, looking back over his shoulder at the mirror to check how his butt looked in the Mandalorian suit.

He shrugged,

"Eh, good enough."

Before grabbing a couple of pistols to holster at each side of his hips and a blaster to sling on his back.

Making his way through the ship he would join Verz at the hangar, boarding that landing shuttle,

"Alright, I'm ready."

He nodded to Verz before looking at [member="Cole Dagos"] and then back to Verz,

"Gross, an albino."

[member="Cole Dagos"] [member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"]

Verz looked over at the sound of another voice. He caught the sight of two other Mando'ade walking over towards the shuttle.

"Su'cuy gar ner vode. Ready to help these people learn to be Mando'ade? Manda knows they need it."

The tech that was looking over the shuttle nodded at Verz and gave a quick thumbs-up gesture, signaling that the landing craft was ready to deploy to the surface. Verz's beskar'gam clanked as the scarlet metal hit the deck of the shuttle. He strapped himself into the seat, ready for the flight down.

"Just remember, we're here to teach them tactics and skills. We can work of the Resol'nare later. The Alderaanians need to be able to hold their own, especially since our forces have been depleted by the Omega incident."

Cole glanced at [member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"] with a sigh.

"I'm Echani..........................not albino."

Leaving it at that Cole nodded [member="Verz Horak"] looking at the sling on his arm.

"Yeah Omega was not an easy thing to take down...........almost didn't make it back myself." "Still learning the Resol'nare myself so I leave that to you."

Cole found a spot off to the side to settle down into for the trip planet side.

Arla made it to the shuttle carrying her buy'ce under one arm looking to everyone present. "Hey Ver'ika you sure you remember how to fly?" He had recently rescued from a sith prison and the there was Cole, "ahh Col'ika you are alive and kicking nice but shouldn't you be in a hospital?"

Now the other she did not know "Su'cuy gar I'm Arla"

"So we going to teach some peace loving Alderaanians how to shoot? or something else?

Cole smirked.

"I was in the hospital and now I am not." "Maybe I would have been more inclined to say a bit longer if I had someone to keep me company."

Cole winked at Arla before glancing back at his other companions.

"On that note do we have a solid idea on what training they already have?" "Are we talking farmers with pitch forks, Civil Defense Forces, of Military Soldiers?"

Verz waited for everyone to strap in before banging his fist against the bulkhead twice, signalling the pilot to take off. For anyone who was late, there were more shuttles waiting in the hangar.

"You know me Arl'ika, I prefer to be boots on the ground. Or telling the ship al'verde how to do their jobs."

The shuttle rattled a little, before the inertial dampers kicked in and smoothed out the flight. The flight wouldn't be long.

"Well Cole, we will mostly be working with the Alderaanian Defense Force, as well as the remnants of the Republic military that had been in the system when the whole thing went under. Most of them are navy though, but there was a small garrison in the capital city. Everywhere else was ADF."

[member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"] [member="Verz Horak"] [member="Cole Dagos"]

"umhmm it's a trait of you leadership types" She made sure to sit still she hated take offs and landings always so hard on the body. So they were going to teach them stuff, the ADF interesting.

She wasn't sure what she could teach them right now, "So we aren't going to teach the Navy to fly, so we teaching them to shoot. like here this X thing put the missile there and don't miss." Yes it was sarcasm.

She looked at Cole and smiled and then to the other guy who was really quiet, she did a head nod to Verz, "Who is that?"

Cole nodded to [member="Verz Horak"] first.

"Ok so middle ground." "I can live with that." "How much time do we have?" "Are we talking crash course or full service training cycle?"

Cole winked at Arla with a smile.

"I don't know jack about flying.............so I leave the piloting to those more knowledgeable than I." "I can teach how to survive your own stupidity though." "Become a bit of an expert there."

Cole looked thought.

"Though I imagine a little survival training for the navy guys wouldn't hurt either."

To catch up really quick, when Verz said,

"Su'cuy gar ner vode. Ready to help these people learn to be Mando'ade? Manda knows they need it."

Sammo would have nodded and slipped his helmet on,

"You know it, vode, although honestly I would rather just kick a Sith in the shebs than try to explain to an Alderaanian how to do it."

When Cole sighted out to Sammo,

"I'm Echani..........................not albino."

Sammo quipped back,

"Oh so you must know how to dance then."

Little did Cole knew Sammo in a way already met him, and saved his life, back on Omega, nudge-nudge, wink-wink. And finally, when Anna noticed him, greeting Sammo with,

"Su'cuy gar I'm Arla"

The Spacer would nod back to her, returning the gesture by introducing himself,

"Su'cuy, they call me Sammo Halon."

Before he took his seat in the shuttle, strapping himself in to prevent being thrown around the place if something went wrong, more or less dozing off for the duration of their flight to make it pass by faster.

[member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"] [member="Cole Dagos"] [member="Verz Horak"]

"Su'cuy gar Sammo Halon" She smiled and not for the reason that had anything to do with the current conversation but more about how someone had stuck something in someone else's mouth. Wonder if Cole remembered that. She closed her eyes and looked down not to give herself away.

She giggled and covered her mouth, she looked at Cole then over to Verz. Two very different kind of men, two very different in manner and speech.

"Well I'm all for some survival training, they have all kinds of terrain on Alderaan so we can go anywhere I would believe. There is desert, mountains, water..jungle...any idea where we are allowed to take them?"

Cole looked over at [member="Arla Balor"] when she giggled.

"Been thinking about the tree house again?" "Shouldn't you be focused on the task at hand."

Cole smirked at her stinking out his tongue. After a minute he turned back to [member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"] and just looked at the man. For a minute he didn't say anything.

"Depends on whether you consider mortality a worthy dance partner." "Look I get it................you're a big bad Mando and I am just the uninvited guest that won't go away."

Cole paused.

"So how about instead of having a measuring contest why don't we ignore each other like responsible adults and once the op is done go back to not knowing each other exists."

[member="Verz Horak"]

[member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"] [member="Cole Dagos"] [member="Arla Balor"]

"First things first ade. We are going to meet up with [member="Faith Organa"] on the ground. She's a Mando, and she has ties to the noble houses as I understand it. She will be introducing us to the people that we are going to work with. Some garrison commanders, a few ship officers, and some pilots. Should be an interesting group."

The shuttle smoothly glided through the void, before giving a slight shudder as it entered atmosphere.

"Feel free to group up with whomever you like."

Verz nudged Arla with his elbow.

"So, cyr'ika, feel like training some ground troopers?"

[member="Cole Dagos"] [member="Verz Horak"] [member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"]

She looked at Cole, "I enjoyed the tree house very much especially after the celebration it was, arousing in so many ways. I hope that you enjoyed it as well"

It was then that she felt Verz nudge her with his elbow. "Faith Vereen-Organa is married to [member="Draco Vereen"] and yeah Verz she has ties to the House, she is one of the Princess' and she's my Buir Rianna's niece by Alderaan tradition."

She had this odd sensation for a minute, "I don't know what I want to do yet." She sighed for a moment, "I had to leave Avrum with another Clan to watch him while I'm gone, he's quite curious about everything lately." She didn't say things like I miss him I'm away too much even though she thought it.

She looked at Cole and then to Verz, "I need water, I'll be right back" She got up and headed to get her drink. Life for her never felt quite so easy...and..this training mission for Alderaan..well it was also Arla looking over the landscape and deciding if she was going to take the offer of some land by House Organa and build something here. Course no one knew that except for her.

O'saam despised this planet, this system, and anything to do with it.

It spouted bad blood in his mouth, memories he'd wished he could leave somewhere under ancient rockets in the middle of an empty sector of space. Yet, he'd heard his people were here and the planet was there own.

Oh, the strangest little oddities he seemed to have come across. And the irony didn't really hold that much in his eyes either. He'd watched this planet burn in his mind before, and was partially responsible for it. In the eyes of Kad'Harangir, he should have no guilt on his conscious. He effected a change so monumental it shifted the Galaxy.

But in his heart of hearts, he felt nothing but sorrow. Change or not, he'd cut a strand in his own soul to observe that, and felt dishonor in smothering that much like without so much as even an expeditionary force to find the strong and give them a higher purpose. He'd been planet-side for some time, tracking a woman by the name of Faith Organa. She was not hard to follow, none of them seemed to be. Perhaps the Era of the Hunter was truly over, and his skillset would do nothing but serve him even better during this Era of Zakkeg.

The Ghilly-styled over-piece he had shifted, as soon as her grouping passed in front of him. In his mind, he ticked how many of them he could have killed had he been a hostile. The answer was a simple one.

All of them. They are raw, untrained, and foolish. Perhaps a Lesson in what happens to children who believe they are invulnerable?
He shook himself as the voice spoke inside his head. No, these were not his children. Not his unit, somebody else would train them. After a moment, he'd head back to his ship and board it. Going to throttle the engines and prepare it for take-off, he'd flick his transponder back on idly as if by habit.

Broadcasting loudly, The Black Death and her pilot began the warm-up sequences. O'saam himself simply sat back in the chair, staring at the roof of the cockpit.

Sammo looked to [member="Cole Dagos"] slightly from his seat, his face hidden beneath his helmet, shaking slightly as the shuttle entered the atmosphere, his voice electronically filtered by his mask,

"Your people are able to make decent deflector shields and lightsaber wielding droids,"

He would look away, at the other wall of the shuttle,

"But a sense of humor still goes over your head."

Sammo quipped before looking towards the cockpit,

"Hey Verz,"

He spoke up to address [member="Verz Horak"],

"Were you there on Mandalore the time when Sith and Deathwatch dropped a nuke on Keldabe?"

Cole listened to [member="Verz Horak"] and [member="Arla Balor"] talk back and forth. Apparently an Alderaanian Princess married a Mandalorian and now they were going to train her people. It was pretty cut and dry from where he stood.

"So what is our ETA to touch down?"

Cole glanced over to [member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"] listening to his comment about a since of humor. He started to respond but at the last second just shook his head. He didn't know who this guy was but Cole was not the joking type and insulting his people to him was not a joke. Sure he had his own reservations about the actions of some Echani but they were his people and not all of them were bad. Plus they were headed to a place where there goal was to teach them how to survive. Cole didn't consider it a time to make jokes. It was the type to get your head right and focus on the task at hand.

[member="Arla Balor"] [member="Cole Dagos"] [member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"] @O'saam Echoy'la

The pilot spoke up in response to Cole's query.

"ETA to touchdown is three minutes. Prepare for landing."

When Sammo asked Verz about Keldabe, the scarlet warrior noticeably stiffened up, and a grimace came across his features.

"Aye. I was there when the Sith forces touched down. I was still fighting when the bomb went off. The Sith were retreating. We thought we had pushed them back."

Verz's voice shuddered a bit, something that few had ever heard.

"Then the flash and roar of them bomb that killed so many. They were good people. They didn't deserve that."

"Aye, me too."

The man nodded,

"I was deployed near the reactors,"

He looked to [member="Cole Dagos"],

"The field marshals had me accompanying the Echani reinforcements, we pushed up into the flank of Sith armored column and took it out before they could move up against the planetary shield. I may give your people a hard time, kid, but when push comes to shove I can respect them in combat."

Sammo would turn his attention back to Verz,

"You know what happened to the Death Watch sod that ordered the bomb? He was an old clone, wasn't he? RC 221 or something like it?"
