An Exchange [Mandalorian Clans]

Arla listened to the 'veterans' talk about the bomb, when they got to the part about if the guy had been caught she wandered back to sit down water in hand, "I think the record says that [member="HK-36"] caught him and handed him over to the Mando'ade for punishment."

Something like that and punishment was swift, whether the guy was sitting in a jail cell rotting away, or had been put to death that she wasn't sure of.

Death was part of life she knew this, but in truth right now she didn't want to dwell on those thoughts, she was comfortable now had even a bit of purpose in her life.

She smiled at [member="Cole Dagos"] and then at [member="Verz Horak"] yeah, she didn't think to think about anything happening to either of them.

"So how long before we arrive on Alderaan, I'm not a fan space travel, I like my feet on the ground" She had been doing her fair share already, of traveling that is.

"Aye. I don't know what happened to the bastard, but I'm not inclined to disbelieve Arl'ika. If I ever get my hands on any other Deathwatch soldiers, then they will pay dearly."

Verz looked over at the readhead with a smirk.

"Well we will be on the ground in a couple minutes. What's the matter cyar'ika? Don't like heights?"

The shuttle slowed as it approached the spaceport, where the Alderaanian delegation would meet them. Within a minute it had touched down. The engines whined as they shut down and cooled, and the hatch opened, letting in the warm sunlight and cool air of Alderaan.

"He got what he deserved."

Sammo quipped,

"Taken down by a droid."

He shook his head with a scoff as the shuttle touched down, he unlocked the safety bar holding him there in place and lifted it up to push himself off and stand,

"Either way, that was pretty much the last I heard of Deathwatch, they must be all gone the way of Confederacy and Abrions by now?"

At her comment about space travel Sammo shook his head with a cheeky chuckle,

"There's nothing to be afraid of, most of space travel is just sitting around looking at the ceiling, waiting for your ship to get through the hyper lane."

He looked over Arla from below his helmet,

"I used to run a motel and underground radio on a derelict frigate back in the day you know, traveled through most of the Sith occupied space, really got around the Galactic block."

Sammo mused,

"Well I say 'used to', I still do, if you were wondering about the wrecked Munificent parked in Mandalore's orbit, that one's mine."

Cole passively listened to the conversation as he made final preparations and moved towards the exit. The events they talked about he was not familiar with and figured commenting out of ignorance would be a bad move. Perhaps later he would ask Arla about it if he remembered. For now he just waited to meet these Alderaanians and get to training. Cole like training.

After a minute he asked over his shoulder to the group.

"Do we know who our point of contact is?" "The Princess or one of the Officers?"

Verz stood up, stretching out his legs and shoulders, his extremities still healing from the damage inflicted on them during his imprisonment. He pulled off his buy'ce, letting the sunlight warm his face.

"Our point of contact is [member="Faith Organa"] . She is a Mando'ad, just like us. She married into one of the royal houses. She is going to be our go between in all of this."

Verz watched as the pilot exited the shuttle, supervising the Alderaanian shipyard techs who were looking over the shuttle, and occasionally telling them to leave some cosmetic damage alone.

Verz had overheard Sammo talking about the heap that was in orbit around Mandalore.

"That piece of garbage is yours? By the manda, I thought it was something the new gunners were using for target practice!"

Sammo went to exit the shuttle and join Verz outside,

"Hey, you try to fix up a frigate on spacer salary!"

Once outside he looked about the area they landed in, taking in Alderaanian architecture, any views outside they could spot,

"Besides, the Young In Spirit is in way better state on the inside. Chitty outer plating helped us stayed under the radar. Imperials tend to bother you less with searches if they think you vessel is about to crap out."

He would look to Verz briefly,

"They don't want to help with the towing if it dies with them still inside you see."

Sammo clarified.

This was not what she usually did when she heard that the Mandalorians were sending in trainers, she usually left this to [member="Draco Vereen"] or Captain Lindsey but something about this group told her she needed to be here.

So, she was waiting for them to come in, according to what information she had they were going to teach survivor skills. So were they going to train in the jungle? the desert? the mountains? the ice caps? What did they mean when they said survivor training?

Faith watched the skies, and watched her datapad as information for the day came in, updating her on the daily routines of the running of Alderaan. Welcome Center was going well, permits were up. Clan Vereen seemed settled into the lands set aside for them, and Clan Ordo had yet to show up and take claim to their lands. Not surprising.

Commander Norin Kellarov walked up wearing a flight suit a few minutes after Faith did. He had been sent with two other senior Naval Officers to attend some survival training hosted by the Mandalorians. As soon as he reached the Princess Norin stopped a few feet away and snapped to attention.

"Afternoon Ma'am." "Commander Kellarov..........command sent us to take the course being taught today." "Then take it back and teach the rest of the ADF."

Once finished reporting to the Princess Norin would remain at parade rest a few steps behind and to the left of the Princess waiting on the Mandalorian delegation to arrive. For Norin this was not a chance he was going to pass up. He had been shot down more than once doing bombing runs and by the grace of god and a certain commando team had survived. In the unfortunate event there was a repeat or one of his men ended up in the same situation he wanted them to go into it more prepared than he had been.

Faith nodded, "Good it should be interesting. Teaching the others too, excellent. We need to always share what we learn makes us stronger in the long run. I've considered maybe I should take survival training as well. Or at least learn some of the basic skills just in case, what do you think of that idea, and be honest."

One thing she enjoyed was honesty among those around her.

Norin glanced over at Faith.

"I was shot down once in enemy territory. If not for that I doubt I would be as keen on doing grunt training. My job is in space after all."

Norin paused for a moment.

"I suppose our experiences shape our decisions. If you think a time will come when you need it or that time has already come then you have your answer."

[member="Norin Kellarov"]

"I don't know, we don't know the future or what could happen. I can't rely upon everyone else to always do things, I need to know how to do it myself." If anything she had always tried to be self sufficient. No matter what her position, title...whatever...

She looked up scanning the skies, "if they don't show soon maybe you could teach me something about survival. Like...I've heard you can eat the bark off trees? and that certain plants contain water...do you know those things?" They could pass the time until the mando'ade showed or they could..eventually just do something on their own.

Verz laughed.

"Yeah, whatever you say Sammo. Whatever makes you feel smart."

Verz spotted the Alderaanian delegation approaching their landing pad, and moved ahead to greet them. He stopped a few feet away from them, and raised a hand in greeting.

"Greeting Princess Organa. I am Verz Horak, Mandalorian Field Marshal and here as representative of the Clans. My companions here are Sammo Hache-Kae, Cole Dagos, and Arla Balor."

Verz gestured to each Mandalorian as he introduced each of them.

"We are here to set up a way to train some of your Defense Force's soldiers in our own style of war. It will make working with us easier in the future, no?"
