An Unexpected Conflict

Even though Lakura was looking down, she was listening to what Zorren was saying. His hand went under her chin and lifted it so she could meet his eyes or so she thought. Instead a kiss was administered and surprised her. Her eyes grew wide and cheeks probably matched the color of them, but she didn't resist or pull back.

"So does this mean we're dating?"

It would take long while for Lakura to become totally comfortable around strangers, but Zorren was making that transition much easier. When somebody came for him to sign something, she actually looked at the man and attempted to give him a smile. It probably looked more like a snarl though.

"Omelete, sausage and bacon."

Maybe even seconds if she was still hungry.

Zorren chuckled, a wrapping an arm around her waist, his palm resting against her lower abs, around her naval, "I am not against it. Do you want to be my lady?" He asked, grabbing food and making for a table, her food floating along behind them at his will. He was a rather dominant youth. But he was also the kind to be gentle when it was necessary. When she had smiled at his assistant, he felt pride in her. She was taking inspiration from him, so he would lead her as strongly as he was able.

"If you do, you'll have access to everything that is me. " he calmly said, "Myself whenver you need, my resources should you want those. All the food you will ever need. I can get you your own personl assistant that will handle your needs, including bringing you delicacies." He was almost bribing her with food he realized. But what could he do the words were already said.

Sitting down, he placed each dish around them in a manner that said she could have some of his food as well should she want it.

"I'm not against it either."

Leaning against him, she realized he could provide anything for her she might need or even want. Not wanting to see him only for what he could offer, she wanted to get to know him and the person he really was.

"You don't need to offer me all of that, Zorren. It's appreciated though."

Taking the seat next to him instead of across the table, she wanted to continue to feel guarded and protected by him. In a way, she found it fitting somehow. Yesterday, she was a woman on the run and assumed he was after her. Her trusting nature brought them together and in time maybe she would start to develop some courage.

Eating the varied breakfast in front of her, she wiped her mouth after practically wolfing the food down. Noticing he still at least half of his plate left, she colored slightly.

"Sorry, I ate so fast."

It was both a part of her nature and the fact for many years there wasn't much food for her to have.

Zorren laughed at how quickly she consumed her foods, then feeling need to apologize. Eating his own at his pace, he waved a fork in a nonchalant way, "No worries, some people eat fast, others eat slow." With her words of not minding being his, he smiled, "Fine then my dear, its a date. You get to claim this worthless pile of bones, and I get you." After a moment he finished his plate and drank the coffee down in a large gulp. Rising to his feet, he gestured for them to leave, "Lets head out, go see some sights together if you like.

"There are also other things to do if you do not like the sound of that." At that he tossed their plates to the bins at the end, guiding their trajectory with the Force. Then he wrapped her in his arm once more, his hand again resting on her belly button. Slowly he led her out of the doors of the cafeteria, "So, tell me something about yourself. Something only you know.

"If you ask me, a fun fact is I secretly house a tech company behind the facade of a clothing and fashion corporation. While I do manage fashion, I also dabble where able."

She gave him a shy smile at his words that slowly turned into something larger. Leaning over just slightly, she would give him a kiss on the cheek and allowed him to finish his eating.

"You're far from worthless."

Her eyes lit up when he suggested they get out to see some of the sights around. Standing up a moment after him, they walked out together and Lakura wrapped her arm around him to rest at his side.

"There is not much I only know myself. Just information I've gathered from other people."

Then she did think of some things, but even they had been taught to her by other people and she shook her head. Not knowing what he was after, she kept silent and one of her ears twitched as he spoke.

"What kind of tech?"

"Whatever kind tickles my fancy at the moment," Zorren replied, holding her close, "Though the other workers are allowed their own projects as well." Heading for the door, he pointed at a room as they passed, "In there I am working bringing a physical approach to holograms. I want to be able to shake hands with someone that is planets away." he chuckled then, "It isnt going all that well, truth be told.

"But I will keep at it. Its just one of my projects currently though." He finished then kissed the top of her hair, "So where do you want to go dear?"

Reaching the front lobby, he gestured at the deskman, "I will be out for a bit, hold down the fort. I have my holo though, so message with any concerns over repairs or anything out of place." At the actual door, he paused.

"Want to go on a journey somewhere? We could visit the stars, free of worry. Just get out and have a good time."

She thought it would be nice to follow her dreams. What they were, she didn't know yet as she was a lost soul. This chance encounter provided her with a future and maybe she could figure out what they were.

In her time with the Jen'Ari, she had been exposed once or twice to hologram calls so she knew what they were.

"How is that even possible?"

When he asked where she wanted to go, she shook her head. Probably for the first time in her life she said exactly what came to mind first and almost without thought.

"It doesn't matter as long as it's with you."

"Well, I am hoping to use hard light, with a certain simulator that would create a field around the hologram. It would not by any means be easy, trust me." Zorren replied, "It also has been painful for people that were testing it and working along beside me. We got close at one point, and crushed a mans hand. It was...

"Unfortunate." Zorren murmured, but then chuckled, "I am hoping to sell it to Valor and their tech, so they can use it to make games with it as well. Bring characters to life or something."

With that they stepped out and hailed a ship that was rounding the building. Opening a side door, he let his woman in, smiling at her words of near adoration, "You spoil me with the sentiment." Climbing in after, he move to the front, spoke with the pilot, and then returned to her side. The ship lifted off and they were on the go.

"We will be going to see an event. I hear it is good. Shockboxing."

She felt it would be nice to have a purpose in her life like he had. Zorren would be a good person to try and emulate. Coming to a decision, she listened with her attention on him as he spoke and nodded. Giving a slight wince when he said a hand had been crushed while doing the testing, she agreed it was unfortunate.

"That is something interesting to consider. Maybe I could learn something from you? Become an apprentice in a way."

Smiling as they climbed into a speeder, she had an idea what this sport was.

"So it'll be something like watching gladiators fighting. May the best or dirtiest fighter win."
