While the Padawan didn't have a much-needed keycode, he did have a key. Of sorts. Shifting the sling around so the blaster rested against his back, Audren's right hand came up with a lightsaber. 'Thinks he's a Jedi', bah. Three steps took him to the door, and a single stab sent the blade through the metal. What should have cut like butter cut slowly and required more focus. Of course they put a security door where he was trying to get out of. No matter, it wasn't one designed to stop Jedi.
As the saber blade moved through the metal, the Sephi started thinking. Once he got out, what would the best place be for him to go? No doubt there were others working on the stronghold, he couldn't be the only one who thought it would be a good starting place. So...security station or generators? With the security station he could shut off the alarms and end the lockdown, making it far simpler for his colleagues to get inside. Generators would also shut down the alarms but would also leave the doors shut. Thus a potential stampede and overwhelming pirate activity or a bit of elbow grease - or magic keys like the one he was using and going room-by-room. Well, patience was a virtue.
But that still left half a door to cut through.
Abruptly, the door slid back into the wall. Audren glanced at it in surprise, since there was still a solid bottom third of the door to cut, but that glance took in the severed latch. Of course, they'd used toughened durasteel but skimped on the locking portion. Should have figured. What he had counted on was the armed pirates outside the room. They'd known he was coming - a glowing blade sticking out of a door was somewhat of a giveaway - but they still seemed surprised at his appearance. With a grin, he raised the crimson blade up as if to strike. Three of the five ran at that point, one of the remaining froze while the other actually managed to pull the trigger. He did swing his blade, but swung it to intercept the bolt. By pure chance, the bolt ricocheted off the ground and into the pirate's shin; a return stroke split the blaster into two glowing halves. The frozen pirate had seen enough, he dropped his blaster and held his hands up in surrender.
The Jedi walked past without another glance, though he did pay attention to the men's Force signatures. They didn't move much. Map. He needed a map. Should have pulled one up in the control center while he was there, but too late for that now. Instead, he stopped at one of the terminals and typed in the query. Some lockdown...whoever had used the terminal last hadn't locked it, and the query went right through. A turn here and there, down three levels, and another couple twists and he would be at the generator. Putting a superheated plasma blade through it would probably be a bad idea, but he'd figure that part out when he got there.
