And So, At Last We Meet

In Umbris Potestas Est
A soft smile crossed her face as the seer identified where the terraforming computer was located. Then Tasia chimed in, and well... She did admittedly raise a point. "Salina, you give instructions, I lead, Ven follows. Simple enough?" Baragwin flamethrower in hand, the plant-woman sighed as she took the lead position, watching out for active vines. "Burn any vegetation you see, but focus on moving vines. If you don't watch out, you might end up becoming part of the forest yourself. And Force knows what these plants do to people unfortunate enough to be caught up in them..."

In truth, she had no idea herself. It just sounded ominous.

"Understood." she said when Circe explained what was to happen. Following her aura Salina stood behind Circe to give instructions as they went onward into the jungle. Her first was simple, to make there way east towards the mountains where the machine was waiting. Feeling the heat as the flamethrower was used against the plants she stayed a good distance near Circe but tried to keep space enough for Ventasia as well. "Careful." she said to both of them. "The machine knows now. It will do anything to keep us away from it."

Her eyes rolled as she moved forward with the two, though keeping her distance a bit. After all, she figured whatever was out there would probably attack from the front. Then again, they were completely surrounded by the.....enemy, I guess you could call them. Nonetheless, with her and lightsaber on either side of her hips, and several grenades attached to her belt, she pushed forward behind them. But something was off. Ventasia was hearing something, and it wasn't the sound of feet shuffling. "So......anyone else hear that? Or am I just going completely crazy.....well, more crazy."

"Let me guess... You're thinking that the plant life has either mutated into giant man-eating plants or has grown legs - or at the least, tentacles - and is mobile enough to be following us right now..." She sighed, not entirely sure herself. "Gods, I hope not. This could turn into a freaky Atrisian holofilm real fast..."

Well, the weirdness wasn't going away anytime soon...

Salina chuckled at Circe's comment before saying "I know both you're histories. And given what you and Ventasia have seen, I think..." She stopped when @Ventasia Terana had mentioned hearing something. Salina listened before hearing it as well. Something shuffling or pushing it's way through leaves. Something moving around in the jungle around them. "I think..." she began to surmise. "I think the machine is..." She was stopped when something snagged around her ankles and tripped her to the ground. Salian dropped her amphistaff in the process giving a yelp when the vines around her feet tried to pull her into the jungle.

She couldn't help but narrow her eyes at Circe following, what she perceived to be, a smart remark. At that point, the lovely image of putting a bolt into the back of both their heads popped into her head once more. In all actuality, she had no need to do anything to to the blind witch, but didn't want to leave any room for a reaction. As for Circe..well, that was just because she could. And because she seriously wanted to. Before the thoughts could go any further, the witch all but confirmed what she had heard. Just seconds later, the sound could be heard again, just before the woman was tripped that is. Glancing down, she could easily see the vine that had wrapped itself around her ankle. What a way to start...

With a small sigh, she grabbed her blaster from her holster, firing two bolts into the vine just a few inches from her foot. Following the blasts, the vine went limp, releasing the girl. Her eyes remained locked on her figure shaking her head slightly. "Look, I'm not completely heartless. But if you think I'm carrying your wait throughout this whole...ordeal, your sadly mistaken, witch."

"Let me guess, you think the machine is animating the plants, turning them into monstrosities in order for it to defend itself from us attackers?" Her comment was given a non-oral response as a vine wrapped around her arm. In her other hand, the energy construct of a dagger formed, and the Vinithi used it quite well to slice the vine off. "This is turning into some sort of adult film, and that scares me. Greatly."

Well, it wasn't, but hey. Vines attempting to grab attractive women. Not too many steps away.

As Salina recovered her amphistaff slithered over to her, she whispering something to it. It became more like a spear, the tail becoming a sharper end, before she stood up, hearing what @[member="Ventasia Terana"] said to her. With a cross look she said "Don't worry. You won't need to. Not anymore." She turned back towards @[member="Circe Savan"] and said "We need to hurry. Otherwise it'll grow further and become more dangerous. Soon enough this entire planet will be nothing but one great dense living jungle."

Note to elf; never see any type of video with Circe. Ever. No matter what. That aside, she watched the green-skined woman slice away the vine at her arm before turning her attention to the witch. She was on her feet now, and somehow held a spear in her hand. Not like Ventasia was going to question that though. She had stopped questioning things like that quite some time ago. Her lips curved into a slight smirk. It was a good sight to see a hint of fire in the woman's eyes. It meant she was determined to survive without relying on someone else. Now she just needed to light a full-fledged fire under her ass. But that could wait. Her hand signed forward, the direction they had been moving. "Good to hear it. After you, Witch of the Vines."

A soft smile crossed her face as she looked the red-haired vixen over. Hopefully after this, the two could grow a bit more acquainted with one another. "Alright, Salina... How much further until we reach the machine itself? Because boy do I have plans for it..." Truthfully, she indeed did. The terraforming computer was to be deactivated, not destroyed, and placed inside a resin-coated case in the museum, where it could never cause plants to go haywire again.

The museum would have to have no plants in it, though...

Salina closed her eyes to focus before saying "This way. About another mile or so." She pointed the way and waited before following behind @[member="Circe Savan"] to reach the place. She kept a firm grip on her amphistaff the entire time to keep from letting it fall like last time. But then she was more alert now after the vines attacked. Not going to let it repeat itself. @[member="Ventasia Terana"]

A heavy sigh escaped once more as she followed behind them both. Was there really a point to this? Well, there wasn't for her. if couldn't find any fun, Ventasia may just blow this machine away out of frustration. But part of her was anxious to see the witch's abilities. She wanted to know just what these witches were made of. And if they were worth the hassle of bringing along on any venture.

Well, if they weren't at least this would made good eye candy.

"Alright then, whatever you say, Salina." A flamethrower darted into Circe's hands, burning white hot as it disintegrated the disgusting abominations of plant life along the trail. Oddly, while she normally was afraid of fire, considering what damage it could do to her own body, Circe seemed to gleefully enjoy burning all the mutations that had grown on her planet. When the terraforming computer was in her museum, she would be most pleased, knowing that the Rakatan technology would be there for all to see.

"Absolutely superb." She turned, eying the other redhead. "I'd love to talk with you a little more after this is done, Tasia. Perhaps we can discuss some things at the party."

Salina simply listened to both speak, more concerned with the machine they were sent to deal with. The sharp end of her speared amphistaaf skidded against the ground as they walked, she seeming more alert for a blind woman as they did. After more walking eventually they reached the source. A large building that was overgrown with vines and ivy. Barley any walls remained as most were fallen over or too green to see. "It's in there." Salina said, indicting the building.

Her eyes landed on Circe as she spoke, simply scanning the green woman over as Ventasia questioned to herself why she'd actually come along with the two. What did she honestly hope to accomplish? Other than screwing up any of her experiments....or finding something for herself. In all, there was little upside. So, why had she come? Who knew.

"Us? Discuss? Don't count your experiments before you have your specimens, woman. And no, I won't be one of them. Ever." Her eyes moved back to the witch leading the way. Oddly, it seemed for someone that couldn't see, she was moving along quite well. It was...interesting, in a way. "Hey, witch. You got a name? Or should I grace you with one?"

"I'd never want you to be an experiment for me, Tasia. You're too wild, too untamed. I'd much rather have some plain old simple 'redhead bonding' time with you once this is all over." Red hair was admittedly quite sexy... Then she saw the building. "An ancient structure... and it seems untouched by the mass of plants... Amazing. Let's proceed. Lead the way, Salina."

Nodding Salina wen ahead of the group and went towards the remains. As they'd reached the way inside Salina held her hand up to make them stop. "There!" she said pointing to the left, indicating as a group of vines were about to attack. She stood back to let either Circe or Ventasia deal with them before more began to creep in from behind. Salina turned just as they approached and cut them in half with a quick swing from her amphistaff. "Behind you!" she called to Ventasia as more approached.

She contemplated going insane as they continued on into the ruins. Well, going more insane. After all, she was already crazy. That was well known by anyone who knew her, but moving through the ocean of living, sentient vines was enough to send anyone over the deep end if they weren't already there. She couldn't have been happier when Salina gave the sign for them to stop. Her eyes drifted left as she pointed. There really wasn't a chance to even see what she pointing at before she screamed about something behind them. She turned to see more oncoming vines. A deep sigh of frustration escaped her lips as pulled a grenade from her hip, pushing the button to begin the detonation sequence before tossing it into the path of the oncoming vines. "I'd suggest creating some space. Quickly." With that, she headed around the left corridor, the same way Salina had pointed.
