To surrender without a fight was not entirely out of the question. The droid on its own would not have been much cause for concern, and she was reasonably confident she could have held her own against the Sith at least long enough to escape. But as a pair, they were cause for grave concern. Captivity in itself was not such a harrowing thought. It didn't really matter where she spent her time in meditation. She could learn much that way and escape eventually - it was unlikely that someone would bother to keep her securely on a scale of years or decades. It was better than a substantial risk of death - provided it did not in itself carry much risk of death. There was no thinking what a Sith might decide to do to a prisoner, let alone one that was reticent in the particular way she was going to be. So far she knew only that this one was suffering, as they all were - and suspected that he had a need to establish his superiority that might, for now, be quenched by her surrender.
But it was easy enough to pretend to be giving someone a choice between their freedom and their life, and he might have other intentions for the future, or his intentions might simply change on the scale of months, years, or a decade. That was a grave concern, and she needed to learn more.
"And what, pray tell, would I be doing on Mustafar? Are you in dire need of a maid?"
