Any Good Sniper Rifles?

Don't let the slugthrower being antiques talk phase you. The doomhammer and the M107a1 anti-material rifle are amazing slugthrowrers. Slugthrowers are great against the modern military of today. Since as someone ( I can't remember who, somewhere in the armor class discussion) stated most modern military armors are made to resist blaster bolts and not hot pieces of solid lead or even tungsten. Not to mention they are ALOT easier to maintain. Just two more sniper rifles. If ya want the links I can get em for ya.

Most modern military armors are explicitly stated to protect against ballistic damage. Anything made out of duraplast, armorplast, durasteel, or beskar resists physical stress as well as it does energy. About the only advantages slugthrowers have on blasters are being able to use gimmick ammunition and bypassing energy (not ballistic) shields.

There's a reason that the main weapons of Star Wars are blasters. They hit harder, hold more ammunition, and cause more grievous physical trauma than slugs...but the idea that space-age supermetals can't take being shot by what modern Earth believes to be "cutting edge technology" is silly.

Kinetic Force... Thats why Slugthrowers are cool. Kinetic Force. A 50 Gram bullet hitting you at 900m/s hurts.

I may or may not know where you can get a verpine at.... Also, there are plenty of effective slughtrowers... Saying they are antiquated or less effective is just... Silly...
