Any Spec Ops Oriented Characters?

Noah Corek

Cocked, Locked and a Smoking Barrel
Just wanted to poke around and see if there are any people down for a spec ops training/operation in the faction. I'm very much wiling to start one if you guys are down.

Hahaha! Get out of my head [member="Noah Corek"].

As Astarii's a Ship Captain, she'll have to undergo a lot of training, as Hypnotic implantation can only get you so far, but with the powered armour being approved and a second generation coming to fruition - I think it's the right career path for the Hapan.

I've been looking for an opportunity to start Sasha off… She's also a former CorSec agent that was assigned to their Tactical Response Team; more stealth than bravado i.e. Slicing, demolitions, marksman.

Since Astarii mentioned the power armor that the GAMC uses I'm thinking we should make the unit a part of the GAMC. Like a special forces detachment of it. Along those lines I'm thinking of something similar to the United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC) or more commonly known as the Marine Raiders. So I'm gonna put together a outline for the unit (things like training, standard gear, operations and the such) and see what you guys think.

Galactic Alliance Marine Corps 1st Direct Action, Reconnaissance and Training Regiment
Motto(s):
"Never Seen, Never Heard but Always Felt."
"Swift, Silent, Deadly."
Role:
  • Direct Action
  • Special Reconnaissance
  • Foreign Defense Training
  • Anti-Piracy/Terrorism

Training:
  • BCT (Basic Combat Training) (All GAMC Marines get this training)
  • A&S (Assessment and Selection) (During this section of training DART trainees are assessed in their marksmanship and physical and mental prowess. After they are assess a group of around twenty-five percent are taken from the group for advancement to BSOC)
  • BSOC (Basic Special Operation Course) (During BSOC trainees go through all the basic skills special forces operators need from explosives handling, slicing, lockpicking, martial arts, knife fighting, offensive driving, etc. At the end the top twenty-five percent advance to BRC)
  • BRC (Basic Reconnaissance School) (During BRC trainees learn the basic of everything needed for reconnaissance, from properly assessing the combat effectiveness of a enemy force, drawing accurate sketches of enemy positions and spotting weaknesses in the enemy forces. The final official cut for training is done after BRC with the top twenty five percent moving on to finish their training.)
  • WFC (Weapon Familiarization Course) (After BRC is finished the trainees, now officially considered DART operators go one to WFC which trains DART operators on how to use any and all weapons they might encounter. From high tech blasters to low tech bolt action slugthrowers DART operators and expected to at least know the basic of how to operate them.)
  • ASOC (Advanced Special Operations Course) (ASOC takes everything the DART operators learned in BSOC and hones it to a razors edge making them experts in every field.)
  • ARC (Advanced Reconnaissance Course) (ARC, just like ASOC, takes everything the operators learn in BRC and hones it to a razors edge making them some of the best scouts in the galaxy.)
  • GAMC Scout Sniper School (Optional) (All Alliance Marines who qualify with a expert marksman score can go to the Galactic Alliance Marine Corps Scout Sniper School only the top five percent of the highest scoring operators in the DART teams can go to the school and earn the elite title of DART Scout Snipers.)
  • GAMC Intelligence School (Optional) (DART operators wishing to be CIG's (Critical Intel Gatherer's) are required to go to the GAMC Intelligence School to learn the skills needed. While most of the skills are taught in BSOC and ASOC the school still teaches skills that are not covered in either courses.)
Structure: The DART Regiment are structured similar to a standard infantry regiment though at the same time very differently.
  • Strike Teams: Strike Teams are the smallest sized unit in Regiment consist of 8 operators (A team leader, a Navy medical corpsmen, a CIG and five other operators.) (8 Operators)
  • Operational Teams: Operational Teams are made up of two Strike Teams as well as a Operations Officer, a Operations Chief (SNCO), a single Scout Sniper Team, two Senior CIG's and Senior Corpsman. (22 Operators)
  • Company: Companies are made up of four Operational Teams as well as a Company CO, Company XO, Company First Sergeant, a Senior Chief CIG and a Senior Chief Corpsman. (93 Operators)
  • Battalion: Battalions are made up of four Companies as well as a Battalion CO, Battalion XO, Battlion Command Sergeant Major, Battalion Adjutant, Master Chief CIG, Battalion Training Officer, Battalion Supply Officer, Battalion Liasion and a Master Chief Corpsman (381 Operators)
  • Regiment: Finally the Regiment is made up of six Battalions each assigned with a different sector. 1st and 2nd Battalions is assigned to the Northern Sector to combat the One Sith and are headquartered at Dulvoyinn. The 3rd and 4th Battalion are assigned to the Western sector to combat the First Order and are headquartered at Lothal (3rd Battalion) and Porchello (4th Battalion). The 5th Battalion are assigned to the Eastern Sector, even though no threat exists there the 5th Battalion are assigned with training planetary militias and keeping a eye on the Sith Triumvirate, the Black Tie Syndicate and the Zenithian Empire. They are headquartered at Naboo. Unconfirmed reports from media outlets also speak of a unit embedded within the 5th Battalion of DART trained Pyre Contractors who run black ops in Republic, Silver Sanctum and Mandalorian jurisdiction, though ninety percent of the time these are just large media outlets looking for a scare piece. The other ten percent of the time? Well they mysteriously retract their stories after a few days. Finally the 6th Battalion are assigned the Defensive Sector, otherwise know as the Home Sector and are responsible for all domestic issues and often are deployed to other sectors as reinforcements. They are headquartered at Sullust. The Regiment is lead by a Regimental Commander, a Regimental XO and a Regimental Command Sergeant Major. (2,289 Operators)

Alright finished now tell me what you guys think.

[member="Noah Corek"]

You seem to have fleshed this out pretty well, both training and structure. Gets a thumbs up from me. I'm ready to do this.

You could probably show up with a few founding members, but if you want we could making their founding happen in another thread set during said Invasion. Test our mettle against NPC's or any interested opposition, and then at the end have the whole thing be a twisted simulation to act as their first days in basic. :p
