[Finley Dawson]

While quiet, Finley listened intently as Marakos went around the room querying people for support and seeing how they would fit into her group. He found her to have a good head for organization. This was someone he could get behind.

When she finished with the others, she turned her attention on him, and Padawan Candos, in what he guessed was her looking for an introduction. Finley smiled and gave a little wave to the group.

"I'm Finley Dawson. Currently, I'm a Librarian working with the Explorer Corps. My specialization is in archeology and botany, but I dabble in a little bit of everything with the Corps. You kind of have to, as we don't enjoy a whole lot of support on extended expeditions."

He glanced over at Master Ike again, who had just showered Marakos with millions of credits in jewelry. The things he could do with even a fraction of that funding.

His dark eyes drifted back to Marakos. "When I heard about your proposal, I thought it was a nice idea to check it out as I have a similar mission profile in the Explorer Corps. So far it seems like you're off to a good start. The Corps may have some contracts for your business, supplementing our efforts."

[member="Finley Dawson"] spoke up next, and Drystan turned her gaze upon him, listening as he introduced himself and explained why he'd come. Her eyebrows raised, almost imperceptibly, at his mention of expertise in botany & archaeology - two fields she considered absolutely necessary. EE&R had been created not only to locate & exploit natural resources, but also to further scientific endeavors across the Galaxy.

Drystan nodded, considering his response.. as well as his offer of mutual assistance between her company and the Corps. "To be honest, I'm glad you came.. the skills you might offer are sorely needed. Esolea is, of course, a private company.. but we are funded by the Order, as you might already have noticed." At this, she shot [member="Matsu Ike"] a grin, then turned her attention back to Finley. "A librarian, you say? In the Corps, which would you say you prefer.. scholarly pursuits, or field work?"

His experience and credentials seemed to pique Marakos' interest in him, who seemed to be offering a job. The librarian grinned back - it felt nice to be wanted!

"I'm happy to be here! Yes, I really work for the library network of the Silver Order," he replied with a nod. "With great confidence, I can say we maintain perhaps the single largest repository of knowledge across our various servers and vaults. The mission of the Library and Explorer Corps goes hand in hand, so I work with them to expand our knowledge."

He paused for a moment, rubbing his stubble as he considered her question. "Mmm...I'd probably have to say the latter. Nothing beats personal experience. It's essential for my current project, gathering specimens for our seed banks."

"So what about you? Where would you like to start first with this venture?"

Drystan's curiousity was certainly piqued - she'd had very little experience with the Library Networks of the Order, though she'd heard them mentioned often enough. It seemed nearly a perfect fit. She couldn't help but grin, amusement blossoming in her eyes at his feelings toward field work. She needed more people like that.

"That's very interesting, Finley.. I'd love to hear more about the libraries. I probably have some questions that need answers, to be found there. Seed banks, you say? That's actually something I've given some thought into - xenobiology has been a fascination of mine in the past, but it's not been an important part of training in my background."

She took a deep breath then exhaled, working out how to answer his question..

"Well... we have some ships, some equipment, and some people... plus we have some funding. The one thing I don't have, yet, is a destination..." At this, her gaze shifted to her friends assembled in the room, then back to [member="Finley Dawson"]. "But, perhaps the Library might help us with that. Seeds mean worlds with a significant planetary ecosystem in place.. What kind of biological traits are you most interested in? Preserving dying species... identifying useful traits... genetic testing?"

"Only 'some' funding," Finley repeated with a chuckle. "All that Aurodium will last you a good long time if you're careful."

Talking with the blonde more, he found her to be quite the inquisitive one. He supposed everyone had to be in this line of work, but she just seemed to light up as soon as he mentioned his work with the Library and Explorer Corps. Not that Finley was complaining, he always loved it when people asked about his work.

"Let's see, the general aims of the program is to identify new flora we may find beneficial for medicinal, agricultural, and industrial use. I have my own side project with this, looking for specimens with no exposure to the Gulag Plague. To this day, we still have many questions about the virus, so getting an idea of how it interacts with some uncontaminated tissue with no resistances is quite helpful."

"As this company is backed by the Silver Order, the Library would be more than happy to extend a hand of support. Most of our materials are already available to you as a trusted member of the Order. After your presentation, I'm quite keen to tag along with your org."

Jasper stayed silent throughout the whole discussion that was going on, he didn't know the full details or had any say so on the matter so he didn't said anything in risk of getting on the wrong side of anyone apart of the conversation. He supported what was going on for few reasons, better understanding of the universe and learning new things that he felt he could used were one of them. There was one other reason he had but he felt that most would consider the reason wrong. He felt that if people knew the reason they would judge him differently and would affect his progress on his reaso so he made a promise to himself not to let anyone know the reason.

When asked by master Marakos of what she can do for him, he waited for the others to speak first. He didn't like going first when it came to being asked group questions because he didn't felt comfortable answering any questions about himself. He felt that the people around him that knows his answer will know more about him before he knows about the group. He didn't liked that. He looked over to each of the padawns when they were speaking and waited for his turn to come.

Finley's mention of the Aurodium [member="Matsu Ike"] had provided caused Drystan to giggle, casting a glance at the pieces resting on the table beside her.

She'd better put them away soon, she thought.

"Quite a project, indeed." The woman responded, "I'd like to discuss all of this further, if you're interested. Perhaps over a meal?" The librarian was definitely someone she wanted on her team... his scholarly pursuits & experience in Xenobiology were incredibly interesting & rare. "I think we can certainly help one another."

Jasper still hadn't spoken, and Drystan was waiting to hear from the young man. Her eyebrows perked up, curious to hear what he had to say.

Master Marakos's facial language gave Jasper the self-permission to speak to the woman about the project she was hoping to make a reality. “I just wanted to let you know about my wiliness to participate in your exploration.” He initially said, “I have learned general education before I came here and so I think I can be of some help to you and the others. I have a question I want to ask you.” He continued, “ How long will these expeditions last? I want to assist with you but I also want to train and learn the force and I'm sure the others thing would want that to.”
