Strengths:
  • Phase Shifting: This particular set of armor was designed with three distinct phases. While each phase his it's own specific set of strengths and weaknesses the ability to re-form your armor in-field is a powerful weakness by itself. The armor's Phrik plates are thin and reposition/layer themselves based on the phase they are in. This allows them to be ideal when switching from CQC to medium-range combat and vice-versa.
  • Technological Colossus: Archangel Class armor comes with an array of technoligcal advancements. Some of the galaxy's most advanced systems have been crammed into this set of armor and work off of a dedicated power supply. An Acumen HUD suite allows the wearer to remain superior in the field of battle as it containts a commlink, several forms of vision, an advanced MFTAS system, and plenty more. The armor is also privy to a powerful uplink software that allows it to remotely control any vehicle it has been programmed to control and remotely tap into other computer systems.
  • AI Compatible: For the best results this armor has a slot where it can store an AI program that can keep a constant eye on it's many systems. The AI will have full access to the suit of armor and can even remotely pilot it for a temporary time in the event that the wearer passes out or is rendered deceased.
  • Life Preserving: Archangel armor has a number of programs to sustain the wearer's life. The chest piece is lined with a special self-sealing sealent that will be directed into any open wound the moment the armor is penetrated, to prevent loss of blood and infection. It is also equipped with a bio-scanner that keeps an active reading on the wearer's vitals and other things such as toxicity, heart rate, and unknown pathogens.
  • Defended: Regardless of what phase the armor is in it is extremely well defended. The armor works to keep the user defended from lightsaber, blaster fire, kinetic damage, and EMP weaponry. Most of the armor is comprised of Phrik plates that are very thin and capable of moving from one location to another. The vambraces are also outfitted with powerful Molecular shields that keep the user well defended from lightsaber and blaster fire.
  • Mobility: Along with being fairly light for what it is, this set of armor also contains Magno boots and grips to allow free flow and complete mobility. There is even a small jetpack attached to the back of the power pack housing to allow for sustained flight.
  • Fluid speech: To accomodate the modern soldier the helmet is also host to a vocabulator that effectively translates Galactic Basic into a number of additional languages such as, Hutteese, Rodian, Shyriiwook, and much more. It is capable of scanning a language and slowly translating it in the vocabulator to allow the soldier to learn languages on the fly as opposed to loading them into the vocabulator manually.
  • Sensor Death: Due to the Baffleweave material and nightshadow coating this set of armor is difficult to detect. However, when the suit is in Phase III it's Nightshadow coating is no longer effective making it slightly easier for advanced sensors to detect, especially when it is using it's main power functions. {I.E Jetpack, scanners, or HUD.}
Weaknesses:
  • Sonic Weakness: One of the most noticable defects that this set of armor has is it's significant weakness to Sonic-based weapons. While it not only has nothing to defend the user from such attacks the armor itself is also susceptible to such attacks. Sustained sonic assault can lead to total armor failure for an indefinite amount of time.
  • Phase II {EMP}: Although the armor is well-defended from EMP/ION technology it has been noticed that the second phase of this armor is weak to EMP/ION attacks. Attacking the armor with such weaponry can result in power loss, systems failure, and inability to shift from one phase to another for up to several hours.
  • Lower Phases {Elemental}: The first two phases of the armor are designed for full mobility, so the Phrik plates are thinly dispersed so that the user would have a much easier time moving around. Due to this they are weak to the elements. The elements are extremely dangerous for this set of armor and can leave the wearer extremely uncomfortable and even lead to some systems damage if it is sustained exposure.
  • Phase Shifting Delay: Moving from one phase to another requitres this set of armor to fully shutdown for almost five minutes. So while it is a valuable asset it does leave the wearer undefended for a time. When shifting from one phase to another the only thing protecting the wearer are the phrik plates. No electronics can be used and even the AI will be forced into a shutdown. If attacked by an EMP device the armor will be locked in the shutdown mode indefinitely.
  • Exoskeleton: The armor functions as an external skeleton, however for it to keep such mobility miniature probes are sunk into the wearer's skin the moment it is activated. If these probes are not deactivated and the armor is ripped off or damaged they can cause the wearer a good deal of harm.
  • Exposed Power Pack: The power supply for this armor should be recharged or replaced after every engagement. It allows for hours of sustained combat without fear of function/systems failure however if the powerpack is damaged or hit with ION technology that can greatly reduce the power supply time. In the event the power pack is destroyed or depleted the armor will immediately shift to Phase I and all systems will be rendered useless until the secondary supply kicks in. The secondary power supply only allows for Phase I use.
  • Repair Difficulty: This set is very difficult to repair due to the many working systems. Because of this even minor damage is extremely expensive to have repaired and takes time. any significant damage can take weeks to repair along with an extremely large bill. Very few of the systems can be repaired in-field, even those as simple as the comm-link due to the helmet's complex design.
DESCRIPTION
The Archangel-Class Strike Armor was meant to revolutionize the way that war was waged. The armor was designed with the "one man army" concept by Dynetech industries. From head to toe this set of armor is perfect for devastating insertion and completely shifting the course of a battle. Difficult to detect on most sensors and scanners it can move across a battlefield almost unnoticed and cause havoc for an enemy. The armor is designed with a phrik chestpiece which can shift and distribute smaller phrik plates to adjust the armor's main point of defence. The armor was created with three standard phases which allow the user to gain the most out of this set.

Phase I: When the armor is in Phase I it is utilizing the least amount of power possible and is almost undetectable on most sensors/scanners. Although it is open to be assaulted by the elements it has a noticable resistance to EMP/ION weaponry. Phase I is designed for early insertion to allow for full mobility and fast results. In Phase I the helmet is in "Deployment Mode" which gives off a faint azure hue and shows faint datastreams. In Phase I the phrik plates are mostly tucked under the breastplate so that the user is not hindered by their full deployment.

Phase II: When switching to Phase II the wearer's helmet will change from a faint azure to a deep shade of crimson. The once-seen datastreams will become far more faint and barely noticable to those outside of the helmet. The helmet has two antanae which will retract, tucking themselves onto either side of the helmet, showing the helmet has moved into "Operation Mode." Along which this the Phrik plates will distribute themselves over the wearer's shoulders and down towards the wearer's solar plexus. This mode is considered to be ther best for CQC as it allows the user to use less power to stay completely mobile. It has been observed that this phase is the most susceptible to ION/EMP targeting, regardless of the De-ionizer.

Phase III: The final phase occurs when the Phrik plates distrubte themselves over the body, effectively keeping most of the wearer protected. The helmet will go from a shiny exterior to a a hardened shell to better protect the head. Finally in "Assault Mode" the armor allows the user full mobility and enhancement as he moves through the battlefield.

This is an amazing armour submission, I absolutely love it! However, I just have one question I wanted to ask you, this phasing, switching armour is a really cool idea to work with, however, I'm unsure how quickly it can change phases From a pure balance point I was wondering what your intention there is?

honestly, the idea is that the phase shifting ends up being more of a handicap than an aid. It's also mostly fluff as shifting in combat is a huge handicap, so it's really just there to make the armor look a bit more interesting.
