Are You an Angel? [Silver Jedi Dominion of Iego]

planet_of_a_thousand_moons_by_bbbeto-d3byc4q.jpg
Iego System, Ashworlds
Outer Rim Territories
Change was coming to this ancient world, if but a small change. The Diathim, often called 'Angels' by the common man, have forever called the 42 moons orbiting Iego their home, while the Maelibi, called 'Demons', resided on the planet itself. With the cataclysmic event still fresh in the minds of trillions throughout the galaxy, Angels and Demons included, both species were weakened by the sudden disappearance of their brethren.

A small community of Maelibi now extends an olive branch to the Diathim people, a wish for co-existence. While the vast majority of Demons still keep to themselves underground, this small group wishes to see life beyond the drudgery of their ancestors. They wish to learn and grow as a species and as individuals. The Diathim were glad to see such developments in a people they thought unintelligent and beastial, and therefor encouraged the community by providing materials for building shelter and various other resources. What they don't have is manpower and the security to oversee it all.

That is why the Diathim, on behalf of the Maelibi, sent word to nearby major organisations asking for whatever aid they could muster. The Order of the Silver Jedi were the first to answer the call, and Grandmaster Heavenshield proved keen on helping out however possible. This was not an aggressive expansion, but rather an encouragement of developing as a species for, hopefully, the betterment of all involved. Summoning the Silver Jedi to Iego, the Grandmaster himself travelled there using his private ship, the Oathkeeper.

"There she is: Iego." Looking out the main viewport, he turned to T2, his trusty astromech droid and constant travelling companion. "Take her down nice and easy, Teetoo." He got up from the captain's chair and made his way from the bridge to his private quarters. "We're here," he told the ravenhaired woman in his bed. "Did you have a good nap?" he asked her, smiling as he moved to sit beside her and hold her hand.

Fate was a capricious master. It had barley been 2 months since Gwrtheyrn had left the planet of Iego behind in order to carve out his legacy. And in the backstreets of some industrial slum a Diathim of all things had appeared before him. Shocked at the sudden presence of something so familiar Gwrtheyrn had been stunned into silence.

As it turned out things were changing on Iego. There had been a great gathering of clans among the Maelibi and it was revealed that the arcane calamity that had rocked the universe to its foundations had struck his people hard as well. From the deepest caverns where his people entombed the dead corpses of ancient warriors and chieftains had risen ready to feast upon the flesh of the living, tortured spirits had howled and beckoned luring unwary victims into searing veins of lava , and nameless gargantuan things with ten thousand eyes , mouths and claws had prowled the shafts devouring what had once been the apex predators on Iego.

In short many of the Maelibus were terrified. Pride at being in their natural habitat legendary warriors warred with the fear of the supernatural. Finally it was decided that they would accept the help of outsiders and Gwrtheyrn being a poet well versed in the language of Galactic basic was chosen to represent his clan.

Hearing this Gwrtheyrn accepted the Diathim's offer and swiftly boarded a ship bound for Iego.

Now he stood on a grassy hillock on the surface of Iego. Around him milled other Maelibi displaying shame at the prospect of accenting help from others and respect for Gwrtheyrn's status as a poet. Looking to the sky Gwrtheyrn could see the blazing streaks that signified incoming star ships. The representatives of the wider galaxy would be here soon and he would be given the task of speaking for his people. Such a prospect was both exhilarating in its possibilities and petrifying in its potential perils.

The sun glistening off his carapace the golden giant stretched letting his horns fall back and his mane blow in the breeze. On his back were hung both the massive ciridium greatsword that had been the pride of his lineage for generations and his tome of work in which he inscribed his poetry.

In his mind Gwrtheyrn began to compose the start of a new piece.

"Pride a boulder heavy and black
chained and bound upon our back.
Will we find hope upon this day
embrace the teaching of a new way?"

Location: Ambiguous Statements Landing!
With anyone brave enough to be on board.

Don’t ask what the blinking red lights are, you don’t want to know. The Ambigous Statement soared in above Iego like an overweight paperweight desperately trying to find a stack to hold down, only the stack was blowing all over the place, much like those bits falling off the back of the ship as she hit the atmosphere.

This old HWK freighter had been his life for a lot of years, his home forever and he didn’t see why he should change that now, just because of some blinking red lights, and whatever that banging noise was. She had been fixed up more times than there was hull left, it looked like patches on top of patches, homely he thought. Punching dials and adjusting the approach. Kei was a terrible pilot, abysmal, he’d always had someone else to do it, part of the crew. The way the statement bumped off the atmosphere you’d be forgiven for thinking it might be going in the wrong direction.

Somehow, probably through sheer blind luck, someone's help, or the force’s grace, the ship made it down, though it was a rocky landing, hitting ground not far from [member="Thurion Heavenshield"]’s ship. The landing ramp opened, or rather didn’t and needed a small force push, there we go, out they disembarked.

Unity was on his hip, his blaster carbine Kira slung over his shoulder, black tactical pack strapped to his back, carrying survival supplies and medkits, he wore a mix of brown camouflaged Jedi robes, black boots and practical under clothing. The robes were cut short, tight to the body to give him plenty of movement, and they were as well camouflaged as any combat fatigues ever were, finally a black tactical belt was strapped to his waist.

Stretching his neck, and shoulders, rolling them around to prepare, he breathed of the force letting go any tension, and assisting others around him to do the same, a technique he was learning through experience. Kei wasn’t leading today, which you would be correct in thinking given his nature to do so, was a much needed lesson in humility. So he waited for the first Knight to head out, or order to be given, and would follow their lead happily.

Anyone can be on board.

Serena stood in the ship that was coming towards the world. This was a strange place and the first time really she had ventured so far out of the Asobi system. Sure Voss was outside but that was a silver jedi world and they could always head bacl. Plus there was the stations allowing monitoring while the alicorn tucked her wings in letting her head duck down a little. The cloak going over her just a bit while she shook her head with a small smile. "This place seems dangerous and beautiful." She said it while looking over what information they had while she was pushing on. Establishing a medical center for the beings on the world would help greatly while she kicked her hooves feeling the metal below.

[1]

To'pau was patiently waiting on the surface of the planet, two of his arms crossed over his chest, the other two were finicking with various other odds and ends. He had been sent down with the advance party to establish communications with the Maelibi people. They already had several basic buildings erected to provide shelter for the relief groups against the harsh elements of the Maelibi home world. The Maelibi were certainly an impressive people indeed. Though To'pau still had time to grow, and the average Hysalrian was about the size of a Maelibi from tale to head (or so the books in the library claimed. To'pau had never seen another member of his race.) he could not help but marvel at their sheer size and power.

When his Master had sent him with the advance party, To'pau had not dared to question why. Though he could not help but let his young mind wander despite his attempts to keep everything on track. His suspicions were confirmed as such once the Ship of the Grandmaster, Thurion Heavenshield landed down onto the surface of the planet and To'pau felt his Masters presence. To'pau suddenly became extremely interested in a loose strap in his belt and he looked away from the ships that had already landed. He turned to see the builders they had brought along, still hard at work. This would definitely be a good task for him. Ever since becoming a Padawan, he had been looking for something to keep his mind off all the friends he had left behind back on Voss, in the Jedi Temple. He hoped this would be what he needed so that he could focus on his studies.

Eenes was seriously regretting riding on [member="Kei Amadis"]' ship.

She didn't like flying on the best of days - getting shot down while landing twice does that to a person - but this Whaladon of a ship that she could literally hear falling apart as they entered the atmosphere had her certain she was to become one with the Force before they hit the ground. The end of the rocky landing found her with her head between her knees, cautiously looking up as the creaking stopped. Holy feth, we survived?
She checked her equipment - not much, just her saber, comlink and datapad - and stood slowly. Her robes flowed over the bodysuit she wore underneath. She took several deep breaths, calming her beating heart from the cra- No, not a crash. Not this time. She felt the tension ease off, aided by the Force. She could feel powerful allies nearby, and that alone was enough to bring some peace of mind.
She too hung back, waiting for instruction. Even if she was a leader - which she was not - the front was not her place, whether on the battlefield or the diplomacy table. She would wait and see where she was needed before getting too involved.

With recent celebration over and business returning to normal – as normal as it could be now – for the Silver Jedi, Connor was more than happy to accompany his Order to the call for assistance on Iego, south of their home world of Voss.

The personal E-wing took the pre-programmed route and he made contact with the others; Grandmaster [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] for one and also new acquaintances like [member="Kei Amadis"] who were en route. As always, Connor had informed his Padawan, the brave and bold [member="Syala Daivik"], of his current status and the option was always there for her to join him if she could – they acted as one, even when apart, and Connor knew she would be safe were they not together.

Glancing out of his cockpit and he took the ship down into the atmosphere, Connor marvelled at the sight of dozens of small moons, some large and some small, of all colours, hovering about the warm violet planet.

Homing in on the personal ship of the Grandmaster, Connor cut through the air above the planet, ready to face whatever lay ahead and just hoping there were no hammers lying around from ancient Maelibi warriors.

Iego

The Oathkeeper

The Planet of a Thousand Moons, a part of the galaxy Coci had only heard of and she is excited to see and visit. Thurion had informed her of the situation on Iego and that the Silver Jedi would answer to the call to oversee talks between the two species of this system. The species of Diathium and Maelibi are legendary and moreover the two of them had encountered a Maelibi when they had been swept away in the recent turmoil of the galaxy at large, an event that neither of them would forget. That meeting was not of a friendly nature, the Maelibi within the rift had only intentions of killing them all and so they would need to be cautious, if only from living memory alone.

The Diathium have arranged a meeting place within an area they call the Choir Alignment and once on those involved in the talks would gather there. Her new apprentice had arrived early on her instruction and she would catch up with him soon. This would be a good lesson to any Padawan within the Order to witness the purpose of the Silver Jedi first hand.

It had been several weeks since the wedding and Coci had entered the last stages of her pregnancy, their son would arrive in the galaxy in mere weeks from now and so she is resting before they would arrive. Although she is large, she is still able to perform duties and she would not have it any other way regardless of protests. Her eyes are closed but her mind is not, and she sensed Thurion as he entered the room and sat beside her on the bed. Her hand squeezed his before she opened her eyes to look upon his face and smile. "I did thank you, all refreshed", she sat up and placed a kiss on his lips.

Nagate say in a transport, packed to the brim with supplies, waiting to arrive on Iego. Nagate was assigned to the Security Crew, they were to protect the set up crews from the local wildlife and/or populous.

"So, what do you think will happen when we arrive?" Asked a crew mate.

"We do our jobs, save the day and go home. That's what will happen."

Nagate placed his mask over his face, he wasn't going to be talking to people, no need to look like he was approachable while defending the others.

Location: Wherever his Master [member="Nima Tann"] is.

Pure traditional Echani white tunic, white leather boots and hood covering his silver hair. Taiden Keth had been silently meditating on his knees for most of their journey, and was still doing so now. The approach in had been a quiet one, as Echani rarely used words to give meaning, they used motion. Mind still heavy with his own thoughts, having something else to put them towards was a welcome change. Gleaming Keth silver vibrosword laying by his side, encrusted with the Keth golden family dragon, silently at rest waiting to join him. Traditional Echani, especially Keth Echani, considered their weapons part of their arm, and wouldn't separate themselves from them for even a moment, to do so even by this short distance indicated the greatest depth of thought going on in his head.

Breaths were calm and measured, the rise and fall of his chest steady, calmness washing over him. His sharp silver eyes slowly opened, behind it there was doubt in himself, but not why they were here, he knew they were helping a people and culture find themselves, something he could relate to given his own struggles to clear his family name.

Rising to his feet, he sheathed the silver Keth blade with a sharp snap on his back. Headed to wherever his Master was, careful steps in practiced time carried him forward, those steps were stronger today and if Nima had been learning to read his body language even slightly, showed readiness and a sense of purpose in them. He wanted this mission to succeed, to recapture a bit of his own sense of duty, and clear his conscience.

"Master." The young Taiden said formerly with a bow. It seemed he was healing, no braces were on his body just an assisted walking aid for his foot, but there was still reserve in how he bowed, as if raising back up were mildly painful.

Aboard the Oathkeeper

His hand settled on the sizable bump of her belly and couldn't help but smile. "You could still stay on the ship, you know. What if you went into labour and we have our son right here and now amongst Angels and Demons?" It was more of a jest than truth, but you never know. She was at that stage when anything could happen at any time, and he'd rather die than miss it when it does happen. For now, however, he did feel confident about her safety and well-being. Both the Diathim and Maelibi he'd been told would greet them upon their arrival, and more Silvers were on route. Thurion gave his wife a kiss on the lips and then their son just above Coci's belly button.

Surface of Iego

The ship touched ground a few minutes later, and as the ramp lowered Thurion and Coci descended it to be greeted by representatives of both species. The Diathim were the first to speak. "We bid you welcome, Master Jedi. Your swift arrival is most appreciated," spoke the towering but slender representative with a soothing, female voice. "I am Lyala." She inclined her head, devoid of most facial features and more resembling a flat, smooth surface. Their celestial nature was not lost on Thurion, however. "I thank you, Lyala, and I admire the selfless aid your people have already provided this Maelibi community," he returned the greeting.

Lyala noticed the woman beside him and took a step towards her, eyeing her up from top to toe. "This one is pregnant, yes?" Both waited for Coci to answer, after which Lyala inclined her head once more. "We will do everything we can to ensure your comfort and safety, Master Jedi. To carry a new life within you is a precious thing - sacred to some." While Coci were being tended to by the Diathim, Thurion turned to the Maelibi representatives. Quite the opposite to Angels in terms of outward appearance, yet somehow more humanoid despite the claws and horns. Again, he could understand where their unfortunatly more well-known nickname comes from.

"Greetings, friends! I am Thurion Heavenshield, Grandmaster of the Order of the Silver Jedi." He eyed the one he believed to be their speaker. "We've answered the call for help regarding this community you've been working on. Our Order is at your disposal," he spoke with a bow. Better to show every courtesy to those who look like they can rip you apart in mere seconds.

Touching down behind the clearing where the Oathkeeper could be seen, a number of others ships we visible on the skyline bearing Silver Jedi signals, so Connor knew he wasn’t late. Or in the wrong place.

With a clean landing and a swift exit, Connor stretched his body and pulled open the hatch of the E-wing under the cockpit. He removed his lightsaber and fixed to his belt as he knelt on the wing, before reaching in and pulling out a satchel of some basic supplies, map of the planet and a smoke grenade.

Sweeping his hair back, Connor slid down and saw a committee of beings through the trees up ahead. Wearing his armor, light and airy, he walked through where he saw the figures of [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and [member="Coci Heavenshield"], looking ready to pop, along with the imposing and mesmerising figures of the Maelibi and Diathim.

He could hear Thurion speak, and with a few glances coming his way as he appeared beside them, noting a few nervous hands near weapons, Connor offered a general smile of peace. He inclined his head and held it for a second, standing beside his Grandmaster as part of the Order he spoke about here to help serve and carry out their duty.

Adjusting his satchel, he looked around at the warm planet with the knowledge of what he was tasked to do; help protect the construction site from any wild predators, and in doing so he would openly bring both cultures together to bridge the gap between what he would demonstrate how the Jedi dealt with things, and also show interest into their ways.

Mark brought down his Eta 2 Actis Class light interceptor through the atmosphere fairly smoothly, at least for this darn thing he did. The fighter was almost ancient. Many had told him to get rid of it, but Mark liked it. So he kept it.
Soon, the landscape of a planet called Lego materialized through the clouds. Lego: the realm of both angels and demons. The realm where hopefully, they could get along.
Mark's master, Avi Merron, was both a part of the silver jedi and the jedi order, so she had introduced Mark to this mission which to the outside eye was impossible. Angels and demons, friends? It didn't seem possible, but Mark was willing to give them a chance.
He landed near the others, sighting [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] speaking with some locals and @Connar Harrison wasn't too far behind.[/quote]

[SIZE=12pt]After their kiss, Coci cupped Thurion’s face and allowed her thumb to caress his cheek within his beard. “I feel fine and I do not sense our son will arrive today”, she smile before Thurion helped her up off the bed. It would not be long however, only a week or two as the little one was growing impatient to enter the world. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Such beauty is the Diathim, so serene and peaceful and said to take on the visage of what one considers beautiful in the viewer’s eyes and mind. The female form of her mother stood before Coci, her voice similar but Coci knew it could not be her, as her mother had died years ago from illness. Only for a short time did Coci allow herself to gaze upon the image of her mother before she refocused on the delegation.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Bending at the waist she gave respect to the female Diathim, Lyala as Thurion greeted her. As husband and wife, Coci will stand beside him in any situation, and today they stand side by side as representatives of the Order of the Silver Jedi, Thurion in capacity of grand master. Coci sensed the arrival of others from the Order, signature familiar and among them her new Padawan, [member="To’pau Namman"]. Master [member="Connor Harrison"] will join them shortly before they move to talk. [/SIZE]

She was observing the world now and it was strange... there was beauty here but in some ways it was subdued as she stepped off the shuttle beating a hoof into the ground. The Del-Ya walked forward looking at the other jedi who were there and she pushed some hair out of her face while listening to the master. "This place is beautiful." Mostly she kepot out, they were here to make a good impression and these creatures were amazing when it came to making music. She kept her wings in close presenting only the purple body under the robes. The accommodations for the group would be interesting to see because all she had found from them was they lived in caves in the planet luring the unsuspecting down into them to take and eat. She blew at her hair again and spoke. "Ah master Harrison can you help me with my hair please."

Nagate and the crew landed with the rest in the clearing and began unloading as soon as the doors were open. Nagate and a few other members of the security team began to move for the West end of the Forest. There is where their team was stationed, all with comms and gear, Nagate checked his pistol and his lightsaber for operational quality and strode to a fixed point where he'd begin his patrol of the area.

"This is Nagate checking in, we are settin up on the Western perimeter, we have your 3 o'clock covered. Over"

He radioed to command. He hoped his master would have an easy time of his day. Too many things had gone badly after the event, Nagate didn't want to worry about anyone else getting hurt or worse.

Gwrtheyrn returned the bow to the Grandmaster and his consort. Looking up his gaze swept across the proceedings taking in the sight of the surrounding Jedi. Iego was by no means a sprawling metropolis and aside from those who dwelt in the city of Cliffhold the sentient population mainly belonged to his species. In the past relations had been rocky mostly due to the predation that the Maelibi enacted on the outsiders.

Some had viewed the act of preying on supposedly 'lesser' species as a thing of glory. The custom had in fact made Gwrtheyrn sick to his stomach. There was no glory in killing helpless adventurers - a saga drenched in the blood of the innocent was naught but a shameful blight upon the name of their people. In this respect it seemed that the calamities that had fallen upon Iego were in fact some sort of divine punishment for their prior actions. Having traveled further afield than his kin however the young poet knew that the catastrophe went far beyond their isolated hamlet of a world.

Gwrtheyrn took a deep breath filling his prodigious lungs before speaking to the gathered emissaries in a basso profundo tone deep as an earthquake but with a culture and resonance seen in only the finest choristers.

"Lord and Lady Heavenshield I welcome you and those who have accompanied in your retinue to Iego. I am truly humbled by your presence and that you have chosen to aid us even though we have been nothing but a malady to those who have visited our ancestral abode.

My name is Gwrtheyrn son of Hyledd and I am the standing poet of Clan Ferrum. As I have some competence with your tongue I have been chosen by the elders and chieftains to act as both guide and ambassador for my species. I have been given the political authority to negotiate treaties binding the Maelibi as a people to the members of the Galactic Republic and your own organisation should you so will it.

Regarding assistance many of our clans have been driven from their subterranean homes. Under ordinary circumstances there is little on the planet that can face up to an adult of my kind either male or female. However since the abhorrent upset that caused the realms of life and death to shift the tunnels have been taken over by all manner of monstrosities. At first it was the bodies of the deceased returning from the burial chambers as revenants.

My people hold great respect for their ancestors and thus the thought of having to face ones forebears in combat causes much distress even when they try to rip apart ones children with cold claws. Creatures we thought extinct for millennium have dragged their desiccated bones out of the lower stratum to hunt once more and finally things so alien that they must have come from the world beyond have wrapped profane tendrils around our sacred sites.

I fear what you refer to as the darkside has taken root where we once dwelt. The sun allows us some respite for the beasts fear its light but come nightfall they often rise to attack. There are still those trapped in the tunnels however and each day brings down their chances of survival."

The golden goliath fell to one knee his horned brow bent in a posture of obeisance the immense masses of muscle beneath his carapace skin bunching with tension.

"If you would help us drive out this threat from our land then the warriors of my people would follow you to chaos itself."

Xieza's small ship finally got him to where he needed to be. He slowly landed in the field where the other ships were sitting. Xieza grabbed his lightsaber and his survival backpack before departing from his ship. The planet itself was an interesting place. Xieza had never seen a place like this before. The moons of the planet had shocked him when he first spotted the planet. There were so many of them. They were even visible from the planet, which made for another spectacular sight.

Xieza opened the hatch of his ship and exited. As he exited the ship, he took his first few breaths of Iego. It was refreshing, yet odd. The whole planet itself was odd. Though, Xieza knew he must work here for a while. He had to help the Order spread its influence and good will. It was optional for Xieza to come here. He came anyways.

Xieza was new to the Order. It had not been long since he had joined. The reason he came was to get some experience. He had no master yet, but he felt that this would help him learn. This would serve as his first lesson.

As members of his Order arrived at the scene one after the other, Thurion offered each a grateful nod while listening to [member="Gwrtheyrn"]'s mesmerizing voice, unlike any he'd heard before. It was a shame that much of the galaxy knew them only as 'Demons' when they were very much a sentient people, along with sentient thoughts and feelings. When the enormous Maelibus kneeled before him, it proved too much to keep his composure. He took a step forward and placed a hand on Gwrtheyrn's arm in a bid for him to rise. "Please, don't..." he spoke, touched by the plight of his people.

"You need not ask anything of us, my friend. We're already here to help in whatever capacity, and we've come on our own accord. All these people you see here before you have come here not because I asked them to, but because they wanted to. We won't let your people down." Turning to the Silvers that had arrived on the scene, he looked to [member="Connor Harrison"], ever faithful to the Order. "Harbinger, I'm putting you in charge of security. Take a team of volunteers down into those tunnels and clear out any hostiles." He gave his brother a tap on the shoulder and a sly smirk. "Try not to have too much fun, Connor." He then turned to [member="Coci Heavenshield"], and it was hard not to let his gaze drop to the large bump of her belly.

"Coci, do you feel well enough to lead the negotiations on our behalf?" He knew he need not ask her twice. Coci was far too strong a woman and stubborn to not do her duty to the Order, pregnant or no. Once assured she could handle it, he addresses the remaining members. "Master Heavenshield will join the Diathim and Maelibi delegates in talks regarding the future of our three peoples. Those of you who wish to join her, feel free to do so." He turned to Lyala and Gwrtheyrn both. "I trust my ship will be as good a place as any to conduct diplomacy?"

"Finally," he once again addressed the crowd. "I will oversee the contruction efforts and see to the sick and injured. The rest of you can either join me, or you may explore the area as you see fit. I do ask that if you plan to wander off, you do so in pairs rather than on your own. That is all. May the Force be with you." With that, each had their work cut out for them. He drew close to Coci before she left to begin negotiations. "I will be right outside. Call for me and I will come." He took her by the hand and gave it a kiss and a caress.

Connor stood tall as @Gwrtheym spoke, and a cold shiver ran down his spine at the talk of the beasts that seemed to prey on them, tearing flesh from bone and hiding in the tunnels. And if there was any residing Dark Side corruption there, it made sense as to why the people lived in fear.

So, then, as the Grandmaster [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] tasked Connor with the duty of security and taking out what he could of the vicious beasts, he Rogue Master knew with his Force ability and prowess with a lightsaber, it should be short but dangerous work.

As Harbinger of the mighty Silver Shadows, he chuckled as he glanced to [member="Coci Heavenshield"] and imagined her heavily pregnant tearing up the place like she did so well when serving the unit. It had been a while since Connor had been able to work alongside the Silvers in helping other systems, and to lead a fight once more – well, a fight; more like a hunting trip – he suddenly envisioned himself as one of the great heroes of the holo-vids he had seen growing up; gearing up to help an entire society escape the grip of tyranny. The image played over in his head:

Smiling to himself as Thurion spoke and giving a curt salute, he threw the satchel over his head.

”I’ll try not to, Grandmaster. You look after yourself. You too, Mrs Heavensield – nothing to strenuous now, remember.”

He started to move away from the congregation to the edge of their settlement looking out to the surrounding areas.

”All those wanting to go on a hunt, I’ll be moving out in about 15 minutes. Grab you packs and come on over if you’re ready to take back a slice of freedom.”
