Background and Biography
Early Years
Among the Zhornee of the outlying planet of Vullain, position is everything.
This is likely why Aria Fel had an enjoyable first few years of life. Her mother held the coveted position of a Holy Crusader, the Zhornee Empire's Force Sensitive religious police. Sarren Fel reported directly to the Empress, and her family received the favor of the Goddess's chosen voice. As such, her childhood was rather comfortable, and she even received a basic education; something denied to over 90% of her planet's population.
However, complications arose when it was discovered Aria was not Force Sensitive. Only those with the gift of the Force could ascend to the title of Holy Crusader, and her mother was presented with a dilemma.
Adolescence
Against the ruling of the Empress at the time, Sarren Fel began training her daughter in the ways of the Crusaders. She learned to fight, to discern traitors, and many other skills; excluding those dealing with use of the Force. Aria was forced to hide her training from the rest of her kind, as teaching a Non Force User the ways of the Crusaders was strictly forbidden, and punishable by death. She also continued her studies, growing a taste for romance novels, though the ones available to her were heavily censored.
Teenage Years
As Aria approached adulthood, she began to resent being forced to hide her martial skills. When asked, her mother told her "Those with the Gift rule this world, and those without it are but the snow beneath their boots."
The idea that she was beneath anyone simply because she did not have the Gift angered the woman. She grew careless, no longer bothering to hide her martial training.
As such, she was found out.
They came for her and her mother in the night, swords drawn and the Gift manifesting in their hands. The Fels fought bravely, but they were eventually overrun. Aria's mother was slaughtered before her eyes, and she was an orphan at sixteen.
Overcome with grief, Aria fled her home into the snow.
Adulthood
For a year, Aria wandered the tundras, the hate burning within her the only thing keeping her warm. On the outskirts of society, she watched as those with the Gift tore her world apart with infighting, sending countless millions of young women to their deaths in a useless war.
Aria resolved that Force Users were too easily corrupted, that they were unfit to rule anyone, let alone themselves.
When the Zhornee Empire opened relations with the outside galaxy, Aria stowed aboard an outgoing ship and wandered the galaxy, looking for a purpose.
That is when she found the Templar Order.
Personality and Traits
Raised to be a warrior, this calling fills every moment of Aria's existence. Her hatred for those that believe themselves superior burns bright and deep within her, and it shows in her interactions with others. She is standoffish, overbearing, and often rude.
Her studies leave her with a desire for knowledge of any kind, and an affinity for romance novels, which she cannot get enough of.
