The battlelines met just outside the west terminal. The BFM rushed the tarmac as the Stormtroopers took up positions inside the Starport. The Bakurans would have been easy targets were it not for their rush of flying drones to give them cover. However... This meager assault could not last long. The BFM had no heavy weapons and appeared to be trying not to damage the buildings.
Stormtroopers showed no such weakness.
Grenade launchers, detonators, and even rocket launchers took aim at the approaching BFM. The Empire would devastate these silly locals with one fell swoop. When Captain Taggert of the 502 gave the order? Nothing but crispy carbon smears would remain. That western expanse of tarmac would explode into a brilliant firefight of red and orange. Leaving nothing behind for the BFM but a path of smoking craters.
Inside the west terminal windows shattered, desks were flipped over, chairs were used as cover, and assault drones crashed through the glass ceiling. Only to be ripped to shreds by gunfire and pistol flak. Wonderful, wonderful chaos. The Stormtroopers were having their fun.
...
Lt Colonel Lyecova watched the display from inside her wide-windowed Member's Lounge. Ah yes. Wonderful chaos indeed. How she loved the smell of napalm in the morning.
"These country fools never stood a chance."
