The battlelines met just outside the west terminal. The BFM rushed the tarmac as the Stormtroopers took up positions inside the Starport. The Bakurans would have been easy targets were it not for their rush of flying drones to give them cover. However... This meager assault could not last long. The BFM had no heavy weapons and appeared to be trying not to damage the buildings.

Stormtroopers showed no such weakness.

Grenade launchers, detonators, and even rocket launchers took aim at the approaching BFM. The Empire would devastate these silly locals with one fell swoop. When Captain Taggert of the 502 gave the order? Nothing but crispy carbon smears would remain. That western expanse of tarmac would explode into a brilliant firefight of red and orange. Leaving nothing behind for the BFM but a path of smoking craters.

Inside the west terminal windows shattered, desks were flipped over, chairs were used as cover, and assault drones crashed through the glass ceiling. Only to be ripped to shreds by gunfire and pistol flak. Wonderful, wonderful chaos. The Stormtroopers were having their fun.

...

Lt Colonel Lyecova watched the display from inside her wide-windowed Member's Lounge. Ah yes. Wonderful chaos indeed. How she loved the smell of napalm in the morning.

"These country fools never stood a chance."

Objective: To keep the outsider out
2 Objective: To knock some sense into Bria
Emeny: IR on the ground for now.

In days of old come flashing back that she had this instinct kicking in. To protect against the outsiders. Taking what knowledge of the intelligent she knew to be true to her own view. Being in frozen state for such a long time. One like her could only do what thinking was the best for the people on this planet to protect with all her might. Knowing that not only did she believe she was right but using all her knowledge of the force to repeal these that dare to enter.

Flowing throw her fingers was all she needed until she needed to call upon the other powers of what her late husband a great Lord in his own right. One that she keep in balance to keep a look for his Empire was she still trying to do that with protecting this very planet. That could very well be. Flowing along with her finger tips to a pad to get the one that would be on the front line that have already started to taking heavy fire. To give them a better fight. If came to be she would make sure she gave her all. More so now did she really have anything to live for not really or did. It was true she knew there was offsprings of her offsprings that carry the true Tarkin blood flowing in their vein. Not knowing how many would be out there If any at all.

Standing now in her uniform of the old empire finding now that her thinking of her being the true Empress that her title she held only a 1000 years ago. Her own hair pull tightly back into a bun only to see that making her own dress code was met by everything coming and going. Her husband would be proud to see her now. Not only for the love of the people but she was protecting people that was going up against all odd.

"Ma' am we got the first report", handing the table to Bria. Giving a nod after which time she made the advancement of the front line. Soon she would join the front line herself. First thing was first to know the bigger picture more so what they was up against. Nothing coming as the jamming was in place. shaking her own head, just how far advance had these became in all the time away from the galaxy in her slumber she put herself in. Coming to reflex many things about the ones against her and those that she has now call her people or where they really that or just what she thought was helping.

"Sir, we received new orders from command." glancing to his right Zen could see the pilot standing there with the radio in her hand. Giving a slight nod to his men they all begin to board back on to the ship, Zen walk up to the cockpit prepping the ship for take off when the door closed he immediately took off. The pilot came to the front sitting next to him, once they reach space they could see the new in come of ship's no doubt wanting to protect the planet the Imperial Remnant were trying to salvage.

Zen couldn't help but smile it's been a while since he been in a space battle and he was looking forward to this. He glance over at the pilot who made a slight gasp upon seeing the armada of ship's "Come on.. this is going to be fun." the pilot gave Zen a look as if the young man had lost his mind but really he was just looking forward to the action that was going to come from the fight.

...slowed by the wound he'd taken to his abdomen as well as a pair of Guardsmen firing at him from the landing pad Abric growled out a curse while attempting to maintain his advance. Taking a knee he'd have raised his Blaster Rifle and returned fire on the Guardsmen while minimizing the target he presented. The Guardsmen had attempted to retreat back up the ramp of the Shuttle as it closed. One made it, the other fell victim to a shot by Abric which dropped him and caused his body to roll down the ramp where it lay motionless of the duracrete of the landing pad. Abric climbed back to his feet, took aim and fired off several shots at the Shuttle but it was to late...

...the Shuttle would lift off from the Landing Pad where it hovered in the air briefly as it turned before flying into the distance over the city of Solis D'aar. Placing a hand over his abdomen Abric pulled it away to reveal the crimson coating his fingertips with a snort...
"Lucky shot."...he'd have told himself before his attention veered back towards the Shuttle as it grew smaller in the distance. Failure was not an option however he had no way to pursue the Governor now that he'd fled from the Stronghold. Ascending a mesh staircase leading to the main body of the landing pad Abric rubbed his chin before accessing the Imperial Comms so that he could communicate with Admiral Aritus...

...the message was as follows...
"Target has escaped Admiral. The Govenor is fleeing over the city of Solis D'aar in a Shuttle."...the tone of Abric's voice would reflect his displeasure however a thought came to mind that gave him some hope. The Imperials had some TIE Fighters in the skies maybe Abric could reroute one of them to assist him. The Comms switched to a local Imperial frequency before Abric stated..."Any Imperial Pilots in the Bakura atmosphere. Priority target escaping via Shuttle over the city of Solis D'aar. Request immediate intercept."...any number of pilots could have heard the transmission, maybe [member="Alva Calvarona"], Abric would only need to wait and listen for a positive confirmation now...

Nodding at his commanding officer, Valen turned his full attention back to the main screen in time to see the enemy forces shift their position to avoid the turbolaser fire he had ordered at their flank. Good, they didn't sense the trap coming.

"Captain [member="Alva Calvarona"], take part of your flight and aim for the mothership's engine thruster. I want that ship floating helplessly in space while we mop up their corvettes. We shall distract them to move their shields forward to provide you with an opening."

"Weapon control, I want you to fire the proton beam cannon directly at the big ships's forward section, just enough power to force them to divert their shields forward."

"Yes, sir," the young gunnery officer said.

"Turbolaser groups in the odd category, open up on the nearest enemy corvette, full power. Ion cannons and turbolaser groups in the even category, reduce their flank again. I want their formation to start folding in on itself."

It would be more to the Chimera's advantage if the enemy did not have multiple firing position on it and they were forced to come at in more of cluster formation. They could then pick apart the enemy as they shifted more ships to the center.

"Have a third of fighters provide cover for the Chimera, particularly here at the bridge and near the shield generators," he also ordered. A thin beam of yellow shot out from the center of the ship towards the larger vessel, while turbolaser and ion cannon fire began to lance out to strike against one corvette and herd the rest closer together again.

The Lady Tarkin would notice that upon approach to the Starport, local coms worked just fine on the shortwave ban. She would quickly be able to assess the situation and note the sounds of chaos.

The Bakuran Free Military, or BFM, was assaulting the western terminal of the Capital's Starport. They had arrived en masse from the nearby Solis Daar Fortress to reclaim their port and one of their Star Destroyer refits. Currently without any air support, the BFM was assaulting via armored troop transports, land speeders, and an infantry charge across the tarmac. Assisted by a group of hundreds of flying assault drones, these Fringe Remnants hoped to drive away the Imperial Army and return their civilian transportation HUB back to normal.

The opening salvos had already been fired and the western terminal was in frantic disarray. Concrete lay in rubble, windows smashed to pieces, walls covered in carbon scoring, and bodies littered the ground in small numbers. The Imperial Stormtroopers were fighting back. Leveraging the BFM drones with personal energy shields and the pursuit of tight urban spaces. It was quite the mess. Starport waiting lounges were now battlefields, emergency exit doors were now bunkers, and public restrooms were extra ammo deposits. Not to mention the massive hoard of civilians running out the back and eastern exits. All trying to flee the conflict.

Lt. Colonel Lyecova remain smiling in the Frequent Flyers Members-Only Lounge. Watching the battle from her happy perch window. Nothing could stop the 502. This is what they were born for...

Now, when the Storm Commandos had finished clearing out the Bakuran Star Destroyer, SC-4486 stumbled upon an unused armory, said armory had rocket launchers, snipers and various other weapons in there there, and, as any Imperial would do, they armed themselves with said rocket launchers, snipers and various other weapons, then they traveled up onto the hull of the Bakuran Destroyer where they had a perfectly good view of the battle against the BFM, and began to go to work.

With the rocket launchers, they destroyed the armored troop transports and landspeeders and the flying drones, moderately lowering the BFM's fighting chances, and with the sniper rifles they had acquired, they began to take out all of the infantry on the tarmac one by one.

Today is a good day to snipe.

Lyecova remained smiling behind her dark sunglasses and nodded in kind,

"Indeed it is. Captain Taggert appears to be having an excellent time. I do hope he doesn't over-do it. Mm."

Another staff Stormtrooper approached to conduct introductions,

"Lt. Colonel Lyecova. This is Special Agent Renth of the Intelligence Branch. ...Agent Renth. Lt. Colonel Lyecova. Current XO of Starport Operations."

Vanya nodded and waved the staffer away. She continued to watch the battle unfold outside.

"So then Agent Renth? What brings the Intelligence Branch to our Empire's newest raiding operation, hm? ...How might I be of assistance to the Ministry?"

She was hoping Renth had some great secret mission behind his arrival. Something that would endear her to the Inquisition. Lyecova was always looking to advance her position, after all. Even if it meant working with the Intelligence Branch or the Imperial Knights. She never missed an opportunity.

Outside, it did appear Alpha Squad was enjoying themselves as well. Excellent. The BFM would continue to struggle for a foothold...

I’m here to gather any information that may prove…useful to empire among other things, speaking of has tech managed to access the system of that Fringe stardestroyer yet I’m eager see what it databanks hold. If they haven’t gotten in yet I can always go outside and take out some BMA commanders it would hardly be a challenge, but it would be mildly amusing.” He said tapping his hand on Vibroknife on his right hip.

"I'd be pleased if the Intelligence Branch would assist us, of course. Though, these BFM are hardly a worthy opponent." She nodded and rubbed her nose, "...Yes. Perhaps if you would go and take a look inside that Star Destroyer? To see what kind of design secrets these Bakuran's are working on. ...Mm. That would be most helpful. I would have to assume that it's databanks held some type of knowledge about their military vessels. Perhaps about the Fringe Remnants too. Mm."

She gave it some thought and decided it was for the best.

"Yes indeed. Fire away. ...Alpha Team has already neutralized all of the Bakuran's on the Star Destroyer. It will be an easy entrance for an Agent. Perhaps you'll find something useful to the Empire on it's computers. And? Do enjoy yourself out there Agent Renth. It's not everyday we are presented with so many easy opponents to destroy, yes?"

She smiled a devilish grin. Lyecova enjoyed watching the BFM struggle. It was such a pointless effort.

"Thank you Agent Renth. That will be all."

The Lt. Colonel was done talking. Renth was free to do as he pleased.

"Roger that Chimera, we'll start on our attack runs immediately then sir." A third of the fighters in the Imperial Flight pulled away though, following the other order the Officers aboard the star destroyer had given for some of the squadrons to provide a defensive screen for the capital ship. Nonetheless Alva had no complaints, the TIE Defenders and other bomber units like the Scimitar were still part of the attack group under her command and were what were needed for the job on hand. Following her lead the squadrons of the 181st Imperial Fighter Wing, minus the units that had been diverted to the fighter screen of course, fell into attack formation as they changed course from their rendezvous with their Star Destroyer to a beeline for the enemy's primary ship.

Of course they made sure to give the corvettes a wide berth, especially as the smaller ships had much better tracking capabilities against targets like their starfighters. That, and the big wigs had said they were going to handle those. The TIE Squadrons got to have a run at the big fish, something Alva was quite ready to thank the Commander in charge for honoring her forces with the shot at it. "Prep missile tubes and line up your targeting computers. Make sure you have a solid lock on that engine housing, spread out your shots as well, I don't want everyone hitting the same spot and keeping the damage contained. If anyone misses they can go without meals in the mess for three days, I can't imagine how anyone can miss a target that big."

Steadily growing closer and closer to the enemy vessel, Alva watched on her tactical display as the blip of the humongous vessel inched ever nearer to those representing her forces own. Still, she wasn't afraid or even that tense as her hands rested on her controls. Eventually when they got close enough the defensive fire sprung up from the enemy ship, but it was a lot less than expected. "Evasive maneuvers. Anyone caught dead gets laughed at during the memorial service." Perhaps this was the part of starfighter combat many people underrappreicated. Having to avoid hostile flak while maintaining formation with your squadron to keep the attack pattern in check was actually difficult. It wasn't something you could enforce either, having to rely on each pilot's ability and skill in the process.

The only thing Alva hoped for though was that the Star Destroyer kept its end of the bargain, and when the space was lit up with a solid beam of energy, springing out from the Imperial Warship and crossing the distance to slam into the giant ship intervening with the operation, the crinan woman was content with her day's requirement of hope being met. "Time your fuses and let your warheads fly. Follow up the pass with a few streaks of cannon fire and pull out."

Shaking her own head now, these troops around her didn't know much, not like the troops she had once commanded. It wasn't like the old empire that had such a since of pride. In the thick of it all Bria took a stand. It was time no more of her just watching those loosing their life. How dare these people just who did they think they were. It was in her eyes now, even those she only was half human, her eyes wasn't a color of shade of pink. In a very short time they started to get a darker pink almost as if they was burning with fire.

In that moment came something else from her, having been in this place she could gather what she needed. Building now as if the sky knew the fire of the fight above but it was something more. It was the sky itself turning dark as if something was calling upon it, as lighting bolts started to form. Needing to gather more of her focus to this, as the troops played their part. In hopes that what calling to herself was a storm just not like any storm, it was as if one of mother nature was on her monthly cycle boy was she getting ready to let loose of a lot of PMS. It had been building but more so. It would take shape another way.

As what fueled this for her was all the anger, hate she had keep building boy did she have a lot to loosen upon the very ones that seem to want to take what she had found as a kind of happy place. In the storm heart was the very person that had sleep now a wake to show her fury. It was time to show the galaxy why she had been awaken. In a way still not knowing her full fate or why the force would chose this time and place to bring her. True of the longing to to see what the force had done with her darling children all three of them what their children children....well you get the picture of how many generation had been born and passed on.

In time all would see those that thought they was enjoying the cutting down of life would be the one that would fall like rag dolls and be the ones that came down like Dominion one by one or maybe even a few at a time didn't matter to her as long as they all stop breathing. In her own logical thinking, A life for a life that what she met to do.

Enemies: All that oppose us

Almost all of the BFM's vehicles and drones had been destroyed by the Storm Commandos and their glorious rocket launches, from what SC-4486 could see, He had a pretty good feeling about this mission, The TIE squadrons above, were doing their jobs well, as well as Admiral Aritus and his ship, The Stormtroopers were doing great down here, from what he had heard on the comm chatter, and they were doing what they were meant to do, blow up their enemy!

SC-4486 figured it would be safer to destroy their enemy like this instead of using the turbolasers on the Star Destroyer, as the destroyer would've caused more damage then prevent, They continued to snipe every last BFM soldier they saw outside, hoping to get this done and over with.

With a roar the 337th troop transports reached their destination. Unloading its cargo of 300 more storm troopers into the fray.

Under Lts Weiss command they had landed just behind the enemy lines. He had expected heavy vehicles to oppose them but from the looks of it they were already destroyed.

"337th! Listen in. Fan out squad wise in crecent moon formation. When the BFM forces turn to flee we wont let anything pass. Gun them down!"

The company moved out with heavy boots splashing through the mud dirt of the parameter. Their white storm trooper armors becoming stained and dirty as they moved out. Weiss took a deep breath and checked his own rifle. It was time again he mused.

Once the company had spread out he pointed forward with an open palm, executing a forward march of the wide halc circle line. Within a minute they were within sight of the rear guard of the enemy.

"Fire!"
StormtrooperInsertion-TSS.jpg

The 337th fell the enemy in the back. Causing not only multiple deaths but a severe damage to the BFM morale, having been caught in a cross fire.

Lighting Strikes

It had been a fun fight when the BFM showed up to entertain the 502. But when three hundred of the 337 arrived for a surprise lighting strike? It was all over. The BFM had officially lost their leverage.

Alpha Squad did their best to neutralize the drones that commanded the air. However, given that rocket launchers are stored unloaded and that you can't carry more than six reloads to a single man? The maximum number of drones that a three man team would have been able to destroy was probably just eighteen. A few rockets short of several hundred. Lol.

Luckily they didn't have to. The joint attack taking place across the Western Terminal had already punished the poor BFM enough. Their vehicles were smoke and their wounded were more than they could carry. It was time for a retreat.

Lyecova smiled as the BFM began a hurried withdrawal from the terminal area. Loading their wounded up on stolen land speeders and shouting at their men inside to find a quick exit. Their proud assault of several hundred men and attack drones, was at an end. Excellent.

Vanya picked up her com,

"Captain Taggert. This is the Colonel. Help the 337 to run them into the trees. Then break off and return to base. I'll have my gunship escort you back personally. We need to focus on the Star Destroyer now. ...The BFM have learned their lesson for today."

"Yes ma'am. Pursuing the enemy to the treeline now. Taggert out."

Lyecova folded her arms behind her back and smiled. The Empire had won the day.
