"Thank you, Admiral." She replied before stepping in to take his place at the holocommunicator. It was an unusual sight seeing the two differing ideologies combining forces. The Concord and First Order were not natural friends but not natural enemies either, at least not in the current galactic climate. For now, anyone not promising safety to its citizens was as good as an ally.
As a seasoned diplomat prior to becoming Grandmaster, Kiara was well versed in interactions with the other major powers in the galaxy, though only in a supporting role. Now, she was in a much more pivotal position where she could be much more easily scrutinised.
Oftentimes, it felt unnatural to her to interact with people in the way she did officially. Acting as formally as she was required took a great deal of practise. Underneath all the pretence she was as any Jedi with whom she worked, as witnessed by her Padawan when she was not duty-bound to Concord matters.
"Captain Reed." She greeted her. "I was about to ask you the same thing. How are the First Order faring after the battle?" She asked.
The Concord were still arriving in numbers after their victory on Sev Tok. They were shaken but remained steadfast.
