Honestly the answer is that there is really nothing he could do to stop them. He might have been a merc at one time, but that doesn't matter when he wasn't up to their level before he found out about the force and now is just slightly better at best with it. He would fall, quickly at that, if he fought. Which would be stupid. If he was smart he would surrender, but he isn't going to do that because as that link he posted to [member="Darth Vulkan"] suggests, he is arrogant.
