At Long Last [Kära Vi'dreya & the Heavenshields]

He embraced her in her hesitation and she felt eight years old again. Her eyes closed as she stood there, and for a moment she allowed the light to permeate her the way it had been unable to for over a decade. And then he pulled back and she sheepishly peered up at him. "Hello, Thurion" she said, before hearing a little voice and watching as the child rushed from the room. White hair as stark as her own was all that she could see, and a frown creased her brow. Who had that been?

Attention pulled back to the two brothers, she took a step back and lay a hand on the small of Thyrian's back to try and urge him forward. "Maybe we should give you two a minute" she murmured, before turning her attention down to the curious little boy and gauging his reaction to seeing Thyrian's face. There was recognition in his eyes, which made her certain that Thurion too would realise who it was. She reached for Thyrian's hand and gave it a soft, reassuring squeeze. "Unless you want me to stay, Phoenix."

Nina and Coci where about to move to the next painting, when she noticed the absence of the rest of the family. No doubt Thurion had moved off to find Théo who was probably ready to move on to the next room and discover what was there. "Come on Nina, lets go find them". Coci began to lead her to the doorway and as she approached she heard voices, Thurion's and others not known to her. However, what caught her immediate attention was the sense she received from her Padawan and charge, Mysa. A strong sense of confusion and fear and she was running toward her.

Coci entered the doorway, her eyes found Mysa only moments before she came to her. "Mysa what is it?", she asked as she got down to her level. A cursory glance up the room, she saw Thurion with two others, two others he appeared to know from face value. Théo was with him and standing by a large tall man. Her brow furrowed, she could sense darkness .. a strange whisper through the force began to play at the back of her mind, but it shrouded in the mists of time and for now .. unobtainable.

As she is a little distance from Thurion and his companions, Coci cannot hear their conversation and so her attention returns to Mysa. "Tell me .. what has frightened you". she lowered her voice and spoke in a calming way to ease her if that was possible.

As he once again found the softness of Kära's hand in his, Thyrian offered her a small nod. "Stay..." He then braved meeting Thurion's gaze, who's face was slowly etched in disbelief and confusion. "Thurion, it's... It's been a long time. You look good..." There was little to no emotion in his voice, because to be honest he didn't know how to act or feel. "You're bigger than I remember. No longer the little boy I once called br--"

"Stop." Thurion's brows furrowed as he shook his head slighty, his disbelief now turned into anger. His blue eyes darted between him and Kära. "What kind of sick joke is this? My brother is dead! I watched him burn to save me!" Before things could escalade any further, Thyrian stepped forward and grabbed hold of his brother's shoulders and locked gazes with him.

"And burned I did! I felt my flesh become charred and blackened and my bones turn to ash, and I was powerless to stop it! The pain was undescribable, but I would have suffered the same fate countless times knowing it would guarantee your safety." As Thurion gazed into his fiery eyes, his features softened until there stood the boy he once knew. The boy he loved and cared for unconditionally. "It's me, Thurion! I am here, through circumstances too numerous to recount."

"Thyrian... you..." What could he possibly say or do in a situation like this? "You died..." He nodded. "Aye. I died. But that would not be the first time I embraced death to save another." Thyrian looked over at Kära, thinking it would spark some memory of that day. When he shed his ashen form to see her safe. "How I came to rise from the ashes is not a tale to be told in a public place, much less in front of... children," he then said, looking down at Théo still present.

At this point Thurion didn't say anything. He couldn't, as his breath got caught in his throat and his eyes began to water. It was getting difficult to stand, and as he was about to fall, Thyrian held him steady in his arms. Without further notice Thurion threw his arms around him, face buried in the fabrics of his shoulder as tears began to roll down both cheeks. "Thyrian," he sobbed. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" His whole life he'd dedicated to honouring his brother's sacrifice. It was the sole reason why he chose to become a Jedi and train under Master Asha. "You have nothing to feel sorry for, little one," Thyrian replied calmly, holding him in firm embrace. "You're my brother."

Théo turned his head over his shoulder and watched in concern as Mysa ran away. He was happy to see his mother there with Nina as they entered the room and Mysa went to them. Something was wrong with his sister, but he would not know why, but something was wrong here as well. The momentary happiness his father felt when greeting the white haired lady vanished the moment the large man revealed his face.

The large man finally spoke, words that informed Théo he knew his father but he could sense something strange just like when with his friend Boo, it was the darkness and it began to make him sick again. It was coming from the two of them, the lady and the large man and father reacted in a way Théo had never seen. He was angry. But there was emotions in turmoil within his father, Théo did not have the life experience to discern it not in any way to help his father. He stood confused and not sure what to do, he took a step back as he dropped his father's hand.

Suddenly everything changed once more, father stood before the man but all anger gone in fact Théo looked on with wonder at what was said next and what happened. How could someone died and come back to life?, let alone twice it seemed, was this man a ghost? It made no sense to him.

"Brother?", Théo whispered so that no one would hear. He could feel the sudden heightened emotions from his father and Théo was worried for him. He looked to the lady and to the large man now holding his father up, "What are you doing to my Papa?, let him go!", Théo moved forward and began to try and push the man away from him, his hands pushing against his stomach. He did not care why his father was apologising, or anything the man had said or why this man was here ... all Théo wanted was to protect his father.

As the two brothers embraced one another, Thurion felt the warmth emitted his elder through the dark fabrics. It was comforting, only the embrace was ended when little Théo stepped in to push the elder away from him. "Théo, it's alright," he told him as he got down on one knee to hold his son. Thyrian, meanwhile, simply stood and observed the two in silence. "Oh, my sweet boy..." he said as he lifted him off the floor and into his arms. "Théodred, this is my brother - your uncle. Thyrian..." It was still impossible to believe, yet in such a short amount of time he found himself a believer all the same. "Say 'hello' to your nephew, brother."

When Thyrian heard of the boy being his nephew, his features softened as eyes widened if only for a moment. He inched forward until he could reach out to gently caress the boy's cheek. "He has his father's eyes..." Eyes ablaze met Théo's defiant gaze. "And he's a fighter, much like his uncle," Thurion added with a smile before turning to Kära. "And this pretty lady is Kära, a very good friend of daddy's when I was your age." He beamed a smile towards her. "This is why you came? To bring us all together? How did you find us? How..." There were so many questions swirling around inside his head that he had to physically stop himself from asking them. This was no place for such revelations.

Only for a fleeting moment did Théo take his eyes of his uncle. His father introducing the lady to him, "Hello .. Kära", he greeted her with a slight shy smile, she is pretty and reminds him of his sisters. But nothing is going to distract him for the man now his uncle. Théo raised a hand to his own face, touching the very spot Thyrian had, he could still feel the warmth of his touch, yes there was fire there but moreover it had been a caress of love. Many times he had heard that his eyes are those of his father's .. something Théo is very proud of and could not help but smile when he spoke of them.

Father had never spoke of his brother, at least not to Théo and this was incredible news for him. As he remained in his father's arms he held his uncles gaze once more, fire in his eyes Théo noticed, that is what was strange when he looked under the hood. But still he could not help but notice the similarities between them all. While his father spoke to the lady, and without warning Théo reached for Thyrian's hand and held it, turning it over and studying it. Théo could see many scars as he eyes took in his skin, Father does not have so many as him, he thought and equally he grabbed his father's hand and placed them side by side. Théo placed his own hand in the center of the two, naturally a smaller hand but as he looked all three are the same, the structure, the fingers and the strength. Théo is to grow into his strength, but the two brothers would be hard pressed to see who would be the stronger.

Then a thought entered his mind, and once there it would not leave. I have an uncle! another boy in the family! Théo beamed a large smile for his uncle. "Thyrian .." he spoke his name for the first time, but would not be the last, "Uncle Thyrian, I like that". Théo took Thyrian's hand in his and gave him a firm manly shake, "I am pleased to meet you".

Pulling the two girls around her, Coci stood and watched not far from Thurion. A growing concern for her husband and her son as the conversation raised and Théo seemed to be pushing the man. Although she sensed no ill intent there was that feeling that would not leave her. And so Coci walked toward them, "Thurion?", she asked not hiding her confusion. Strange the emotion she sensed from him, their force bond never to hide such things but in the end her husband stood in pure happiness.

She heard Théo utter the words of uncle, and the man's name and she could not believe it. However, she took regard of them both, her brow etched with a thought of recognition, [member="Kära Vi'dreya"]. Now she understood Mysa, Coci remembered the day Thurion had introduced her to the family, telling her Mysa's was her's, the creator as Mysa refers to her. Coci's emotions mixed to say the least, she does not have the connection with Kära as Thurion does and so is not subjected to the past. At least not the past of childhood.

But the man with her, that tingle of familiarity teasing her once more but remained elusive. She will have to think on this more in private, something is wrong, but now is not the time.

'Thurion? this can't be .. ", she looked at him taking his hand, shaking her head in disbelief. "Your brother?". It was a lot to take in, and they needed to move from this place.
[member="Thurion Heavenshield"]

Mysa had run headlong into Coci during her mad bid to escape her creator, and for a moment she had stood there like a deer in headlights, eyes wide and in shock. Her lip wobbled as Coci knelt to her level to make sure she was okay, body trembling and eyes glistening. She couldn't quite find her words, her lips moving soundlessly, and instead she hid behind Coci as the trio entered the room where the brothers were reuniting.

Clutching at her Master's hand, Mysa stared at Kära when they entered but kept herself back. The woman didn't seem to notice her, too fixated by whatever was happening with Thurion, allowing her a moments peace to try and calm herself. Did that mean that she wasn't being sent away? Was this purely a coincidence?

Mysa did not understand the way things worked, she did not know that Kära was more than just her creator, she was to her what Coci was to Theo and Nina, her Mother. In Mysa's mind she had no such thing, she could not remember a time before that hellish room. So she kept silent and clutched and stared, hoping that she could hide herself well enough.

Her eyes, however, moved from Kära to the man she was with. He was tall, much taller than she had ever seen anybody be before. He might have terrified her, if there wasn't a glint of pure humanity in his eyes the likes of which was rare to see. Like a lighter spirit trapped inside a darker shell.

[member="Coci Heavenshield"] [member="Thyrian Ashborn"]

As requested Kära stayed put, her hand remaining in Thyrians. Her gaze however was fixated upon the visage of her childhood friend, her only friend, and like his brother she could barely believe that she was actually there in the same room as him again. It had been too long, fate had thrown them apart, but that did not matter now. She kept quiet, this was not her moment nor would she be so prudent as to believe she should interrupt.

Her gaze fell upon the young boy after Thyrian's hand left her own in order to embrace Thurion. He had a fiery spirit, and when he - in his innocent confusion - shoved her Phoenix it took all of her control not to stop him. Instead she let it happen, what harm could a child do to the likes of him?

After introducing Thyrian, suddenly the attention was on her, and Kära managed a soft smile toward the boy before returning her attention to his Father. "It is" she said, quietly so as not to overshadow the situation, "I've been searching for a very long time, since the day I realised that you were brothers."

She heard another voice and turned her gaze across to Coci. The woman was not someone she was familiar with, though her concern was palpable. His wife then. Her gaze dropped to the two Umbarans at her side, and Kära frowned. She recognised both of them. Having, at this point, retrieved her Sith Sword from Shadow - of course, it was contained upon her personal craft and not with them - she had the memories of both selves.

"N-Nina?" she said, eyes wide as she stared at the mute child she had once briefly known following a trip to Umbara when she was but a toddler alongside Xavier. Then her gaze skipped over to the other one, the one whose eyes were so wide that Kära wondered if she was ever going to blink. She could feel the fear, and for a moment her heart ached. She knew exactly how the girl felt, it was reminiscent of her experiences following what happened to her at the hands of Lucien two decades earlier.

Moving away from the men Kära tentatively approached her daughter, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. Kära's lips moved soundlessly, much in the way Mysas had when she too felt overwhelmed, and instead the woman simply crouched down, a few feet away so as not to alarm girl or Master, and stared into her eyes.

What kind of monster had she been back then? That closed off self who could not allow herself any sort of emotional attachment, even with her own daughter? Who had kept her closed off from the world and alone?

"Oh, Mysa..." the woman finally breathed, and for the first time in what felt like a millennia Kära felt the very real sting of tears which proceeded to fall down her cheeks and force the air from her lungs. "I'm so sorry, my child." The latter she whispered, as grief flooded her soul. What had she done?

She reached out tentatively, allowing both Mysa and Coci the choice as to whether or not she got any closer to her daughter.

The look on the boy's face as he examined the two brothers' palms next to his own was one of sheer fascination. Thyrian's was by far the most worn of the three, with Théo's being untouched by war and the harshness of the galaxy. "Thurion," he spoke as eyes darted between father and son. "You're a father..." It was then that the boy in his brother's arms shook his hand as if an adult himself. While an amusing concept, it did not phase the Ashborn who looked on with his unflinching stoicism. He did not return the hello, but instead offered the boy a slight nod. "I'm a father," Thurion replied before giving Théo a brief kiss on the forehead.

When the raven-haired woman then approached them, his brother turned towards her and reached for her hand after letting Théo back down. It was only then that Thyrian noticed the rings they both wore. "It's alright," he told her before turning to him once more. "Coci, this is my brother Thyrian. Thyrian, this is Coci. My wife." The Ashborn said nothing and simply bowed respectfully to the woman, stoneface ever intact. He did not know this woman, nor did he recognise her face. And yet he could feel her hesitation and... fear? Not for herself, but for her children. For her husband. It was to be expected, he supposed. He wasn't the friendliest of faces, after all; all scars and brawn.

It wasn't until then that he noticed the appeareance of not one little snowflake, but two. They both shared the same white locks of his beloved, and even shared the same blue eyes. He assumed one of them was the relative of Kära's they were searching for on Umbara. It was the other one that stole his attention, however. "Mysa..." he repeated softly after hearing it being uttered by Kära. It was impossible not to pick up on the wide range of emotions going on between the two of them: Fear, sorrow, regret and pain just to name a few. "Kära," he spoke as he touched her arm for comfort before getting down on one knee in front of the little copy of her. Gently the Ashborn held out his hand, the slightest of smiles finally reaching his lips. "Hello, Snowflake..."

A series of flashbacks appeared in his mind, showcasing the first meeting between a raging inferno and the light of his life.

[member="Coci Heavenshield"] | [member="Kära Vi'dreya"]

Was this not meant to be a joyous event? Why are these adult all so full of angst? This was Théo's mind, he could not understand why all of them are so uptight. As Théo was placed to the ground by his father, he moved to stand next to Nina, the only other one in the room that held any sanity at this point. Father had been reunited with his brother and a long lost childhood friend it seemed, but something has been set in motion between his stoic uncle and the Lady of White and Mysa. He glanced at Mysa briefly past his father and mother. And she was not happy.

Mother, on the other hand was going through turmoil of her own, she seemed to have closed off somewhat, as if unsure on how to proceed with the current news and events. She had returned a respectful bow to his uncle not a word passed them at this point which Théo thought a bit strange, but maybe they are shy? No, it was not like his mother to be thus, his uncle is an unknown to him. He put it all down to them being overwhelmed. Adults can be like children sometimes. Little did he know of the events that would see a family member removed, to him it would seem that way.
[member="Thurion Heavenshield"] | [member="Kära Vi'dreya"]

After the introduction was made, Coci turned to her husband and found his eyes. Naturally, she is happy for him to be reunited with his brother, only a cold heart would have otherwise, she smiled weakly still unsure of what to say to him, it all seemed to surreal, otherworldly. And she cannot hide from him, their force bond extraordinarily strong, developed over time, he would sense her trepidation. Although Coci at this point does not recollect his brother because of the differences to what he was back then to now, and even if Thurion is unaware of Kära's life, Coci is not. What is the will of the Force that has seen them join together today. There would widespread ramifications to this meeting regardless of the what was to come for Kära. And Thurion, as grand master would face a test. But more importantly than all of that, is a little girl and her future.

Coci's eyes dropped to Mysa, she knew now what had had her in such distress, her creator as she call her mother now crouched before her. Coci looked over Kära's face a portent of what Mysa will look like when she reaches womanhood. Although not meant for her ears, Coci heard the soft words of Kära spoken to her daughter, words of sorrow and contrition. The words played on Coci's heart, a mother as she is, to all of them, she could not help but feel sorrow for them all. Her grip loosen on Mysa's but remained hand in hand, it is not her position to make the decision... only Mysa can do that. If Mysa wishes to release her hold on Coc's hand, she can. What path lays before her now, but regardless of her choice, Coci will remain her master and guardian if she wants it.
[member="Thurion Heavenshield"] | [member="Kära Vi'dreya"]

Mysa stared.

How could she not stare? Her creator had stepped forward, hands outstretched and grief radiating from her person. So too did the giant she accompanied, the one with the light in his eyes. It took all of her will not to flee, instead she rooted herself in place and bit her lip. No one stopped them, it was as though time stood still aside from the pair. And then both of them spoke, and Mysa shied away ever so slightly.

She had tried so hard to forget what had happened during her time on Aurum. Moreso what happened after her creator had vanished. Yet here it was, confronting her head on, and Mysa had no choice but to face it.

So she took a step forward.

But it was not to the woman, her creator, that Mysa wandered, it was instead to the man whose body temperature seemed to be so extreme that she could feel the heat increase as she neared him. Despite moving toward him, her eyes never once left the woman.

"A-Are you Furry's brother?" she whispered, addressing Thyrian to try and not seem rude. Her gaze darted back and forward between the strangers, but when the creator made no further advance she allowed her attention to fix on the man.

[member="Coci Heavenshield"] [member="Thyrian Ashborn"]

He looked up at Thurion, who looked back at him with a big smile, before returning his gaze on the little one. "Yes, I am. My name is Thyrian, but you can just call me 'Ashy'," he introduced himself, the faintest of smiles lingering on his lips. Very carefully he reached for her free hand so as to not frighten her, and upon feeling her tiny hand in his he experienced what he could not in a former life. "Mysa... the Creator cannot harm you anymore. She's gone." Dead by his hands, but that was far too long a story to tell in a public place such as this. "This woman with me is not her. She's... different," he assured her while looking up at Kära. "She will not hurt you, nor will anyone else. I will not allow it."

Moving a bit closer, he gently placed the girl's hand upon his own scarred cheek. "Do you trust me, Snowflake?"

[member="Mysa Snowstrider"] | [member="Coci Heavenshield"]

She crept closer to Thyrian, there was something about him that spoke of innocence and care despite his gruff exterior, yet as he spoke and explained the change in her creator Mysa could only frown in uncertainty. "She looks the same" the girl whispered, shifting her gaze back across to Kära, "Are you certain she's not the same?"

Mysa could not recall ever seeing this man, with his fiery eyes, before; never with the Creator or the scientists. Yet he seemed to know what he was talking about, he and the Creator appeared very close. And there was most definitely a change in the woman.

Staring at Thyrian, as her fingers danced across the valleys of his flesh, Mysa bit her lip and peered to Thurion who seemed at ease around them both. Had she not seen Thurion just embrace this woman? Perhaps things had changed. "Yes" she said of his question, knowing it to be true, before she bit the inside of her cheek in thought, "Who is she?" Mysa finally asked, having always wanted to know the answer for herself. The woman she had only ever known as her Creator, her Master, surely had to have some human qualities too, a personality, a name.

[member="Thyrian Ashborn"]

While his brother introduced himself to Mysa, Thurion wrapped his arms around his beloved. "Can you believe this," he asked her with little attempts to hide his excitement. It was then that he picked up on her hesitation, and he knew very well what she was thinking. He took her hand in his and gave it a kiss, trying to ease her mind. "I know," he told her. "We'll talk about it later, my love. Let's not ruin the moment." Looking over at Théo and Nina, the lights of his life, he moved to stand behind them and place a hand on their shoulders, watching the exchange between Mysa and Thyrian.

"Her name is Kära, sweetie," he replied before Thyrian could, still not used to saying her name after so long. "She and I met when she came to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant as a... guest." In truth he was unsure what to call her staying there. If she'd been a prisoner, wouldn't she have been under constant guard? Instead she was allowed to roam the temple grounds freely, like any other. "Another life, as they say..." he added, offering Kära a warm smile. It all happened so long ago, before war had claimed so many of the people he grew up with and... before Asha. Before his knighthood and finding Nina on Umbara, before meeting his future wife. Before their son was born into the world.

A clerk then suddenly appeared, addressing the group. "Master Jedi, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but--" Thurion turned to face him and stopped him by raising a hand. "I understand, friend. I apologise - we won't disturb you or the Prophets any longer. Thank you," he told the Voss and offered him a gracious bow before taking his children by their hands. "Come along, everyone. Let's leave this place for somewhere a little more private, shall we?" Thyrian rose to his feet, yet held out a hand towards the little one he'd immediately grown fond of. "Let's go, Snowflake."

[member="Coci Heavenshield"] | [member="Mysa Snowstrider"]

"She will not hurt you, nor will anyone else. I will not allow it."
"Do you trust me, Snowflake?"

A fixed gaze constant on Thyrian's face, Coci's mind filling with more question then what answer were being provided by the two sith. The Creator gone, yet a what or who stands before them? a replica? Mysa had every right to be scared and questioning of her own right, she is a clever little girl and not giving over to this, no one does when they have gone through pain at the hands of another, let alone one that is suppose to be mother. The words uttered from Thyrian .. she will not hurt you .. so it was true she had? He would not be the only one that would not allow it, and her eyebrow arched with his words, who was he to say such things to her, a complete stranger, which in essence is what he is.

Coci said nothing to her husband as he tried to calm her thoughts, they would not be calmed so easy, however she offered Thurion a reassuring smile and she had no intentions of ruining the moment. Finally, she spoke to him, "I am happy for you, that you have found your brother", she looked into his eyes, "An event in your life that has plagued you now no longer exists and I can only hope that happiness will descent upon our family because of it", these words she spoke in truth, and for him only.

But there is the future of a little girl at stake here it seems. If, in fact, Kära is dead then no one here knows of this woman, not Thurion, not Ashborn nor Mysa, the closest ones to her. The situation is overwhelming with this, a reunion of brothers more then enough to saturate the senses, considering their sad past. But there is so much more to this meeting that needs to be considered before unfolded and so Coci will observe and be there if her Padawan needs her help.

The clerk, indicated to a room off the corridor in which they stood and allowed access to them for as long as was required.

[Sorry I totally forgot it was my turn! :( ]

Mysa was becoming a little bit confused. There were so many people here, so many she felt connected to, even ones she didn't, all vying for her attention or her care, all intertwined even though she and likely the other children had no real understanding of how or why. And so she frowned, she stared between Thurion, Thyrian, Coci and Kära, before laying her eyes upon her brother with mild distress. Could they both slip out the way they had on Midvinter? Find somewhere to hide for a little while until everything died down and she could think again?

Probably not.

The large man with the scary face and the light eyes had his gaze fixated on her. So too did the woman in white, her Creator. And Coci wasn't about to let her or Theo out of her sight, if Mysa read her expression correctly. Then someone entered the room, asking for quiet and directing them to a different place. Relieved for the momentary distraction the small child made to move forward, only to find the fiery man stood and offering her his hand. Tentatively, after glancing over her family one by one, Mysa took his hand, trusting that no one was going to leave her.

And together they entered the new room, just a short walk though it may have been, to Mysa it felt as though the journey stretched on forever. Her mind was abuzz, though she couldn't fully comprehend any of the fleeting thoughts.

[member="Thurion Heavenshield"] [member="Coci Heavenshield"]

They found a table and a set of chairs within the room, and everyone found a seat where they could, with Nina sat in her father's lap. "Speak, Thyrian. Tell us everything..." There was a lot to go over, starting with his brother's resurrection after the fire at the orphanage. While his memory of the painful reawakening at the hands of Sith scientists was obviously fuzzy, he could very much still remember the anguish and rage that fueled him. He had become a raging inferno, as malicious and devious as the flames which claimed his life. Kära did her part in filling in whatever blanks Thyrian failed to remember, but her being from another reality altogether made it somewhat difficult. That was a whole 'nother can of worms to tackle at a later date. He told them of how he and Kära met, how she as a little girl managed to harness his fury and become his master. How he in a way raised her and watched her become an adult while he remained the same.

He then went on to speak of how his rage and flames alike began to die out as his feelings for Kära grew ever more prevalent, which meant his fiery existence was coming to an end as well. He spoke of the battle which claimed his life for the second time, and how he willingly sacrificed himself so that the only person he'd ever loved would live to see another day. He described the feeling of coming apart, his body returning to its ashen state once more. The next thing he remembered was being thrust back into the world of the living, however this time into human form; a body cloned from his DNA and funded by Kära personally. How he came back to life a second time was even more disturbing than the last. Knowing the One Sith was responsible for him now being able to see his brother again was... harrowing. None of this had even happened in Kära's dimension, so even she would be at a loss for words, despite the fact he'd spoken of it to her before.

As the tale came to a close, Thyrian looked to his younger brother and his wife. "I am... Sith. It has been part of me for so long that I don't see myself ever becoming otherwise; the Sith created me, forged me into what I am now. The Dark side runs in my veins." There was an obvious disgust on his face and in his voice as he spoke, both for himself and the One Sith. "I can't change who I am or what I am, whereas she..." He turned to Kära. "She has a choice where I do not. She has a kind heart."

Silence filled the room as they gathered to take a seat. Coci sat beside Thurion and pulled Theo to her side. Mysa, if she wanted could come to her as well and she would make sure she was alright so would Theo. Coci caught her son’s eye looking for her with concern as he seemed to take notice that much of the emotion in the room revolved around her now. The prompt for Thyrian to tell his story was given and she sat to listen.

As the words fell from his lips, tears filled Coci’s eyes and she reached for Thurion’s hand. She realised that this twist of fate could have easily been her beloved’s fate and tears began to roll down her cheeks. But what is clear is that Thyrian is just as noble of heart as his brother.

He declared his connection to the darkside, forced upon him as it was which only served to make Coci shake her head at the constant disregard the Sith have for freedom of people. “There is always hope and there is always choice. You still possess both”, she said through emotion which clearly affected her speech. The confusion over the ‘identity’ of Kara can wait, now is not the time but Coci looked to her with a sense of doubt as to kindness however it was clear that Thyrian would protect the ones he loves with his life as he has already done, this valour inherent in the blood of Dawnbringer. She pulled Theo even closer.

“You can change Thyrian, and we can help you”.
