Ello Chaos,

I am Dannii, new to star wars forum roleplay but not new to the star wars lore (both legends and canon) nor am I new to forum roleplaying. I'm a bit of a strange person, considering I refuse to play any sort of game unless it has the capability for me to atleast pretend I am roleplaying! I would love to swan dive into the scene but I have several questions that I would love answered before I can sanely get into the whole 'schtick' of things.

I would like to join a group/faction before creating a character so that when I come to creating it, they are part of said faction/group. Is this allowed? Is my character creation process judged and then accepted or denied? Can my character have all the gear and equipment which makes sense for them to have?

You can join any Faction for your character to be in, and there are plenty of Factions out there: take a look here - http://starwarsrp.net/groups/

Then, you can build your character up in the Faction and they will be there. There is no assessment of your character, so once you have created them, they are live and ready to go wherever you take them!

It may be best to create your character first and THEN find the Faction suited for them, but as said there is no waiting - once you join the Faction, you're straight away good to go.

And yes, we assume most characters may have a basic level weapon or small craft at their disposal, so go for it. As long as they don't happen to own a Super Star Destroyer or a fleet of AT-ATs, it will be ok! Keep it logical, but have fun and be creative.

To answer your questions:

• You can join any open faction as early as you wish
• No approval needed for your characters
• If there is a problem, you might be notified, but follow the banned/restricted rules and you will be fine
  [*]Logical gear? Sure. But as Connor said, no jumping into being a billionaire who owns Star Destroyers and guns that shoot gold plated thousand credit chips

I understand that making a character and then joining a faction would be good, it's just I am unsure what faction I would like to join and if I make a character that wouldn't fit the faction I end up wanting to join, that would be a little unhelpful heh. Can you have more than one character?

[member="Dannii"] You can have more than one character, sure! You can make a Force User - Jedi, Sith, Witch - or a Non Force User - a pilot, solider, Wookiee - anything really! Go creative.

And if you don't like a Faction, just leave. It's a simple as a click of a button.
