Intent: To create a wardroid for the CIS
Development Thread: no
Manufacturer: Stargo Enterprises
Model: B4 – “Super Clanker”
Affiliation: CIS
Modularity: no
Production: Minor-produced
Material: Durasteel
Description:

The B4 “Super Clanker” is a heavier version of the “Clanker” infantry droid currently deployed by the CIS. The armor of the droid is much denser than that of the clanker body, able to withstand repeated hits from small arms blasters thanks to the vital components being stored in the center of the droid’s 8 inch durasteel chest plate (The thickest part of the body. This innovation allows for the droid to take substantial damage to its body without shutdown, loosing its head or other limbs will not stop it and it will fight until it’s powercore in the chest is destroyed. However, due to the thick reinforced armor of the chest plate, the rest of the droid’s body is susceptible to heavy damage. It would not be extremely difficult for a few well placed blaster rounds or a lightsaber swing at the joints to disable a limb. The most exposed part of the droid are its leg and waist joints, which have nearly no durasteel covering, while its arms, head and chest are well protected.

The droid is armed with two weapons, first in the right arm mounted rapid fire laser cannon. This weapon uses most of the droids excess energy for weapon use, but the power it brings is well worth it. Due to the amount of energy that the weapon uses, the second weapon is not energy based but is a slug throwing shoutgun in its left wrist. The shotgun is only effective at short ranges and holds only eight rounds.

Weaknesses of the droid are what you would expect from a heavy droid. Its movements are rather cumbersome and it cannot walk with nearly the same speed as the “Clanker” droids. A fit human could easily outrun a B4 moving at maximum speed, the problem is outrunning its bullets. While the droid will not forget about targets when they are out of visual range, they will ignore targets behind (who may be more dangerous) in favor of (perhaps less dangerous targets) who are out of cover. Finally, they tend to have disregard for other droids once it has begun to engage. While it will move around allied forces to avoid killing them, it will not attempt to seize its fire in order to not damage a droid or ally who walks in front of it while engaging.

Super, Super Battle Droid...

8 inch durasteel chest?

This is going to have to be minor produced. It's too OPed to be a main battle droid for the CIS.
