PERSENUS
Qoritottoi..... Ashaottoi....
The Sith Scream - a familiar sound to the ears of Persenus. In the Jen'ari Wars he had fought in, his fellow Sith would engage in a dance of blood and death, many falling. Some would not accept this silently, screaming out the last rites of their life. Though the wave of despair hit Persenus like a truck, though not as much as when he first heard those ghastly wails, he took solace in the knowledge that this young acolyte was proclaiming his own epitaph. Persenus gripped his blade tightly as he skidded aback, his teeth grating against the bounding forces that came from the screeches of hate and malice, fighting off the now afflicting negativity with the beating rhythm that always rushed into him in moments like these.
As much as Persenus critiqued Kesran's skill, he found that ability mattered little. It was an idea that was drilled in him by the pits, an acceptance of reality that the Sith could not wash away. It was an idea that was often found in the undertones of Dark Jedi teachings but nary was it ever followed or internalized. In the end, it didn't matter how good you are. It's a roll of a dice in every fight. Luck and chaos. Anyone who thought otherwise was going to end up dead along side those that accept it. Back in the pits, it was what he lived by everyday, knowing that each day might be his last, and to hold nothing back until the end. He could die from an opponent in the rings, starvation from his owners, or maybe that aching voice at the back of his head that was slowly giving in might've finally convinced him. In the end, it was out of his control.
It was partly why as fear came over him, it subsided and was turned into a fuel for his passions, a passion for combat and a love for death. "Come on, then." He taunted at the Acolyte, knowing that as he was taken over by the Dark Side, he would not be able to control his aggression. |"You were no good with a saber, boy, and worse with the Force. Maybe now you can actually warm me up!" A grin bloomed across his face as he saber burned ever more fiercely.
