Aithche hid a scowl. Nadir might be the name she was giving but she was certain there was someone above Nadir. She was going to have an unpleasant surprise later on. She obediently moved for the attendant to measure her, her eyes closing for a moment as she imagined harvesting teams carefully extracted the precious moss. She had no idea her companion was imagining slash and burn agriculture to set up monoculture crops, using up the nutrients in the soil in a matter of a few decades.
"Well I'm sure some limited mining operations wouldn't disturb the ecosystem too much" she said, voice a little uncertain. "I was to ascertain conditions. The planet is...unstable currently and a slight push will destabilise the government beyond all reckoning. The only problem is there's a half dozen other factions ready to fill the gap, each worse than the last. Taking the planet is easy, holding it would be hard. The palace could be stormed in a night but there'll be offworld interests by the dozen sending troopships to take it back if the first persons appearing on the holovid are offworlders."
