So @[member="Young Akala"] , since Halo seems to be invading recently, can I make a Forerunner? I promise I won't destroy all life
@[member="Circe Savan"]Circe Savan said:I suppose that would depend on how the individual character was RPed. Canonically, the "Celestial" trio that appeared in Clone Wars died, and Abeloth(assumedly made a celestial or a creature like one) was also destroyed. Saarasu Taalon was also destroyed as he turned into a celestial-like creature similar to Abeloth.
With regards to any Celestial character existing, and subscribing to the most plausible theory of tier becoming one with the Force, any surviving Celestial would be in a meat body that would never allow it to use any of its(assumed) power, as that would destroy the body.
Not to mention that canonically, ignoring the Ones, who are "what the Celestials became," the amount of Force power that these guys have has never been defined in canon. Add in that Celestial technology is banned on the board, depriving a celestial character from using such OP technology, and I'd hardly consider such a PC to be godlike.
Not to mention they'd have to abide by the rules on Force power usage, and would still only be equivalent to their Force rank.
As the Article states, the Celestials were a civilization that at one point in time were the premium species in the Galaxy. Nothing happened without their say so and nothing got done unless it was by their hand or through their agents under their guidance. They isolated the populated side of the Galaxy through the spacial rift to keep Mugg Fallow from happening to every world in the Galaxy. The Celestials, also known as the Architects, were an ancient civilization who were present long before the dawn of the galactic community and even the Rakatan Infinite Empire. Whatever was known of the Celestials was the subject of xenoarchaeology. It was theorized by both the Jedi and the Sith alike that the balance between the light and dark sides of the Force was actually under the guidance of the Celestials.

Officially, whether they made the hyperspace rift or not is still up to speculation. It's not solidly stated that such is the case. Mnggal-Mnggal only states that it saw the glory days - and the end - of the Celestials. It's never said whether the barrier was made specifically to keep it out.Yoru Shakou said:As the Article states, the Celestials were a civilization that at one point in time were the premium species in the Galaxy. The Killiks were simply used as manual labor, as any species could work with and have a slave species. The creation of Corellia system and the Maw were due to Celestial technology, not the Celestials themselves. Technology, not an immense degree of power in the Force, is the reason they were considered to be the top-tier race. And their technology being banned means that any Celestial character would be unable to use it to cause mass destruction. As to the Jedi and Sith agreeing that such is the case - you're misrepresenting the quote, which states that they "theorized" - not verified - that such was the case. There is not hard evidence in canon stating that they are indeed what keeps the Force in balance, which is unlikely considering how often the scale's swung back and forth since their disappearance. They forcefully relocated the Kiliks into the Unknown Regions from Alderaan to prevent them from over running and consuming everything in their path. They are the creators of the Corellian System and the Maw Cluster. It is stated that their position was usurped when the Rakatan Civilization began to wage a war against all other servant races of the Celestials. We have an understanding that civilizations and species such as the Sharu and Columi either had regressed themselves or checked their own expansion and hid because they were afraid of reprisals from the Celestials. The Jedi and Sith (as shown in the above quote) have even agreed that the Celestials are the ones watching and keeping the Force in Balance.
The implication has been that the Rakata warred with them and either drove them into a state of decay, or into extinction. Information on the canonical Celestial-Rakata war is minimal at best and almost nonexistent at worst. We know it happened, and we know the outcome was the Infinite Empire calling the shots in the galaxy after its end. There are multiple ancient species like the Kiliks and the Mnggal Mnggal that say the Celestials then suddenly withdrew from the Galaxy without any reason and more or less left it to its own devices.
Per the site rules restricting characters with Force power usage, regardless of their species, and per the official ban on Celestial technology, no Celestial character would ever be considerable as a "living deity." They(and their derivatives) are not immortal, not all-powerful sans their technology, and only appear to have a significant, but certainly not god-like, amount of ability with the Force. In Short @Circe Savan THE CELESTIALS ARE STAR WARS EQUIVALENT TO LIVING DEITIES AND ARE A 'GOD' RACE.
The site rules have already been made to where no one can be a god. Them being Celestial or not has no bearing on what the preexisting rules do and do not allow. Thus it is very simple. YOU CAN NOT BE A GOD. Therefore the Celestials are off limits as they should be.
