Bar Scene - First Flight?

She smirked at the small amount of credits she had found, putting them away in her pouch. She looked around slowly, sipping her drink again, then gently placed the other cup on her unconscious friend's face. It looked better that way. She smiled, putting it to the side for a while, then began to dribble it on his face now that she had full access to his body. She waited a moment, then suddenly began to panic. He wasn't breathing. Did he even breathe to begin with? Oh no oh no. With shaky hands she cupped his cheeks, then whimpered, suddenly pulling herself down, pressing her lips right up against his, blowing air in frantically.
"Wake up stupid, wake up... C'mon, you need to tease me more, remember? Please wake up... Please don't go..."

There was a sudden ragged breath, and Lorane was breathing. How, he didn't know, but... Oh, damn, that was Roxy? He managed to open his eyes and his arms moved until he felt her. He squeezed her gently before trying to speak.
"Ech... Roxy, there's an antidote behind the counter somewhere. Probably looks more or less like spice. Gotta dissolve it in somethin'."
His grip loosened as he fell out of the chair and tried to get back up.
"Just get it. Gotta drink it. I should be okay."

Drink the potion. Yes, she could drink, if anything she could drink. She jumped the counter frantically, picking up the spice with record time. She threw it in a cup, then poured tap water over it, leaning over the counter for a moment. Wait, who was drinking it now? She struggled, staring at the drink before slowly reaching over to give the man the drink. She kind of wanted to drink it now, and her greed nearly got the better of her. Luckily she was just sane enough to realize she could use him for more free booze in the future.
"Drink, quickly. C'mon, live for me."

Lorane shakily grabbed the drink and managed to down it in one shot. His breathing calmed down and his hands stopped shaking. But he couldn't get up. He was way too dizzy. As angry as he was at Roxy, he still wanted to hug her. She'd saved him, he wanted to be close to her, and this was probably the only way that was going to happen right now.
"Hey, Roxy... Um... I'm stuck down here."

Roxy gave a loud and audible sigh of relief, slowly running a skinny trembling hand through her hair while her mind raced with confusion. Spices were usually used to enchant the effects of booze, not disable them... She slowly leaned down, taking one of his hands in her own, and struggled with all 102 pounds of her body to lift the man up.
"For someone who can't handle their booze you sure can talk a lot, and fluently too."

Lorane rolled his eyes at Roxy for what felt like the zillionth time in the last hour or so.
"There was poison in my booze, Roxy. And the powder that looked like spice wasn't spice."
He knocked his glass off the counter and let it smash on the floor where the bartender had been standing before. If he wasn't still dizzy and running a fever, he would have run out to the back of the bar and beaten the hell out of the bartender. Except he was, and he couldn't. He smiled at the blonde-haired girl.
"Protecting your meal ticket, huh? Awful nice of you."

But of course. She snickered lightly. He was too smart for his own good. If it wasn't for the credits she had just stolen, and the mental promise of more from him, she would have left him to die without a care in the world. What did he do, anyways? Fix her up a few times? She keeled down in front of her blue alien, putting a small finger over his lips.
"Just shush your toosh mister Doc. You need to rest. How bout I carry you up the stairs this time?"
She grew a small devious smirk to him, finding it a little humorous that they were trading favors left and right. It wouldn't be too soon before they were saving each other's lives.

"You can try. Probably owe me that, since you probably claimed my wallet as your early birthday present by now."
Lorane put an arm around Roxy's shoulders, leaning on her a little bit as he got up from his seat. When he finally stood up, it was kind of clear why Roxy wouldn't be carrying him anywhere. It was the thought that counted, though... maybe. Who knew what exactly Roxy was ever thinking at a given moment? He was wondering how many times they'd end up saving each other before they both ended up dead in a gutter somewhere. He smirked a little teasingly at her.
"You gonna rest with me, Roxy? Carrying me's gonna be a big job."
[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

Roxy grunted, supporting him lightly with one of her shoulders. Tiny beads of sweat grew on her forehead, even if she wasn't doing anything but lifting a few pounds. Yeah, right. She could sooo carry him, once she became a body builder.
"Look, I'm carrying you like it or not. You're sleeping alone and you're going to like sleeping alone, cuz I got important beewax to do."
[member="Doctor Azure"]

"Wow, I can feel all the muscles that aren't able to pick me up."
Lorane smiled weakly and coughed up something that looked like green gelatin. Ew. Probably his body expelling what was left of the poison. He jokingly slipped his arm down to Roxy's waist and attempted to pick her up like he'd done in a similar situation before, but he only managed to give her a little bit of a squeeze before he had to let her down.
"Besides, you're more smashed than I am. We both know that you do some seriously stupid things if you try to walk alone when you're like this."
[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

Roxy weakly shrugged, looking down at him. She gave him a little shove, then started off on her own way, leaving Doc to puke out whatever he wanted to. She didn't really feel like being around him anymore, he was enough of a flirt for days.
"Well if you're good enough then I'm out."

"That's wonderful. Bye."
It might have seemed cold for Lorane to act that way, but bad things always seemed to happen when he was around Roxy. Besides, he was drunk, had just been poisoned, and was now being brushed off by the same girl who loved stealing his money so much. That was just a tiny bit depressing for him. He sat back at the bar and put his head in his arms. Not that he could sleep. He was a bit afraid to fall asleep with the toxin still in his body. The Chiss shot one last look at Roxy.
"If you ever get shot again, call me. Not like I have an overabundance of people to steal my wallet."
[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

Roxy felt a small smirk spread across her face. She returned the glance, before her eyes fixed on the door. Before she completely exited the automatic sliding exit, she looked back again, giving a quiet word of farewell.
"I'll always be there to steal your wallet."
Roxy took a few steps outside, then joined one of the many crowds of people who loved to walk from one place and go to another, like a horde of depressed drunkards on their way to seek happiness.

"I'm quite aware of that."
Lorane smirked at the receding form of Roxy, and then grinned monstrously at the expression of horror on the bartender's face as he returned to find his intended victim more than alive. The Chiss cocked and fired his gun immediately, before calling over a waitress to ask her for another drink.
Good thing Lorane's credit card hadn't been in his wallet.
