The Immortal Turk Togan
God Of Turkeys
Several weeks before, a ship had emerged over the Silver Rest, containing a newly minted Sith Lord who had intended to take advantage of the Silver Jedi's tendencies to take in those of the dark side who needed to heal, to set up a hit and run. It had been interceded by the foresight of the Master of the Order [member="Josh DragonsFlame"], as well as their Hand ally [member="Riamah"] who boarded the ship, arrested the attacker before they could reach the Silver Rest and in the midst of the battle, the ship had been blown to pieces just over the Shadowlands. The ship's remaining debris and cargo, or what was left of it, fell into the Shadowlands, likely to be eaten or destroyed by it's creatures.
But there was one box amongst it all that survived the wreck and all that followed. One that had been left off the admission of [member="Nicholas DragonsFlame"] who had now reclaimed his memories and was amongst their camp now. Not that one could blame him after all, the young man was still disoriented after having two sets of memories clash at once. While all seemed to be well in the weeks that followed, in the Shadowlands, perhaps not all...
A Wookiee with dirtied black fur wandered through the Shadowlands. While many of the Wookiees had greeted the Silver Jedi Order with kindness and welcomed them, not all of Kashyyyk's denizens were so welcoming. Some remembered the olden times that they had been either associated with, or subjugated by the humans. Czerka had tried to make slaves out of them once upon a time, and the Sith had in more recent years tried to kill them off almost entirely and subjugate the rest. Whether out of fear or out of sheer disdain, some made it known and stirred trouble with the others. These tended to escalate into violence, and in turn, the offending parties generally found themselves in the Shadowlands alongside other Wookiees that had broken the laws of their villages. This Wookiee in particular was one of them, who felt the Silver Jedi Order were going to take them down the same path that others had in the past. He was prideful, well-meaning but too prideful and immersed in his beliefs for his own good. And the years since had not been kind.
This Wookiee was the one to find the box. Finding it severely damaged, but still very much intact. While one should know not to trust what one may find in the Shadowlands, this Wookiee had lost much of his reason. Without much to lose, they would open the box...
And what was inside began to let out a glow.
------------
It was several days later at the Silver Rest that reports had begun filing in that several Wookiee villages throughout Kashyyyk were being attacked by hordes of creatures from the Shadowlands, and even worse yet, there were reports of Wookiees that had been banished being part of the attacking forces. They attacked with nothing but blind rage, and did not seem to be able to be reasoned with. They almost didn't even seem to be sentient, just acting on animal instincts alone. As more reports came in, it became clear that the Shadowlands themselves were not to blame. Even Kashyyyk's regular wildlife had begun terrorizing settlements on the planet. Another disturbing report even indicated that the trees and plants themselves had begun to attack any that came near...
But the biggest shock of all as more and more of the Rangers that remained on the planet were deployed, was that there were Wookiees that were prior friendly to them, suddenly becoming like the attackers, unable to be reasoned with... And turning on their brethren.
The Silver Jedi Order had been hard at work trying to prevent casualties throughout the planet as much as they could, but their numbers were limited. A massive assignment had been laid out not long ago that meant that many of the Silver Jedi's forces were off-planet to handle it. While the Rest had not been left completely defenseless, it left them rushing to keep up with the spread of chaos throughout Kashyyyk. Rangers and the scientific teams were already on looking for the cause. An energy signal within the Shadowlands had spiked and led to an investigation there, leading to something that brought back some of the jerked around memories of one Nicholas DragonsFlame...
"It's a virus. One my Master had intended for me to plant within Kashyyyk" The former Sith Lord had explained to the Silver Assembly, shortly after requesting the presence of any that were available. "It is a bioweapon engineered to infect the denizens of Kashyyyk and them alone. It will not destroy the planet, and it's effects should wear off eventually... But that time will not come anytime soon and the damage they will do in the meantime will be horrific. It appears to have been planted in the Shadowlands, and first corrupted those there. For the infected creatures there, their ferocity and killer instinct have been increased tenfold, and are like sharks seeking blood. They will be the ones to spread out and attack whatever it is that gets their attention first.
For sentients... They're a little more complicated. It is a similar thing to the creatures, but this virus was also engineered to heighten their negative feelings and emotions beyond their boiling point, motivating them into action. They will attack the biggest object of their most negative of feelings. Which means that a lot of them are likely attacking the settlements that wronged them. No life, plant, animal or humanoid is safe... And the virus will continue to spread across the entire planet over time. I don't know of a cure, unfortunately, but if you do get on lead for one... Act quickly. The more the virus spreads, the worse this chaos gets. "
The former Sith would bow his head then. "I am so sorry. I had thought it destroyed, and with all these different sets of memories swirling through me, it just... Never came back to me. My Master must have known there was a chance I would fail, if the box survived all of what happened."
With that, the once-Sith left without a word, taking the lightsaber that his brother had gifted him the parts for on Life Day in order to rebuild a blade, to start the rebuilding of his life. And that meant repaying the kindnesses given to him...
It wasn't long after, that rumbling could be felt at the Silver Rest. The senses of many a Jedi would begin going haywire, and odds are many would already know what was to come. Scouts spotted them first, over the horizon as they came through the trees. Creatures of the Shadowlands, creatures of the surface Kashyyyk, Wookies... It was as if the very planet had turned on them and were heading straight for the Rest.
They would have to fight to survive. And to protect those that were not as capable. From younglings, to the creatures residing within the Rest, they would need to be protected...

OOC
Objective 1: Defend the Silver Rest
The Silver Rest has been attacked by those affected by the virus. The Silver Jedi Order will need to protect the Rest and it's denizens until the scientific teams can create an antidote to spread across the planet and end this chaos. As time progresses, reinforcements will arrive the more that the virus spreads. Keeping them as far away from the Silver Rest as possible is instrumental to holding them off and surviving until our goal can be reached.
Objective 2: Save the Wookiee villages across Kashyyyk
The Silver Rest is not the only victim of attack. There are many Wookiee villages spread across Kashyyyk that are far closer to the virus than the Rest. Protecting the villages, preventing as much collateral damage as possible, and most importantly, protecting the Wookiees that live there are vital to fulfilling this objective. Some Wookiees have managed to resist the virus, or it has not reached them yet and may be willing to help fight alongside the Silver Jedi Order to defend their homes.
Optional Objective: Assist in developing the cure for the virus
While a team is on the job of developing some sort of antidote for this virus that can be spread throughout the planet, the efforts will take some time. Any able-bodied members and allies who are capable of lending to this project are welcome to it. The sooner that the antidote is created and implemented, the less carnage that will be caused between now and then.
Enemy Examples
This is not explicitly a list of all that you may encounter, but here are some examples of what you will see during the event for those looking for them.
