Battle of "Friends"

The whole scene played out in about 15 seconds. Hardly enough time to react to a ticking time bomb. Luckily for them both, Vi'kas had lightning-fast reactions, and kicked the blade away just in the nick of time. It exploded about 10 feet away from them, which was far away enough to protect them from harm. The other Sith knelt by his vibroblade, examining the ruined edge. Standing up, he took a look at the clearing around him. "Well, you lost your weapon, and your enemy got away," said Jurmund, "Hardly what I would call a success."

After a few minutes of silence, Vi'kas finally spoke. "Not entirely," he said as he drew an object out of his robes. It was a silver cylinder, with a hole in the top. He pressed a button, and a green blade shot out of the hole.

"But, but that's the Padawan's lightsaber! How in the galaxy..." said Jurmund.

"Lies and deceit are the ways of the assassin," said Vi'kas, "I quickly switched out his lightsaber for an old code cylinder, and blew that up instead. No one was the wiser. I checked for tracking devices and explosives, but there were none. This lightsaber is now mine to use." With Jurmund in awe, they walked back to their ship, and took off for Coruscant at hyperspeed.

Flying off into space I reflected on all that had happened. Vi'kas held such an irrational hatred towards me. I guess there was nothing i could really do about that. I touched my wound from the virbo sword. I had my first battle scar. That was surely worth the trip. I remembered when we first met on Yavin. He was so different. He was strong, and commanding, but he was also still a kid like me. Now he has changed, but deep down I still believe he can be saved from himself. That all is not lost. If only his allegiance could be changed, he would make a great jedi. I smiled as all these emotion flowed through me.

"You know Vi'kas, after everything. It was still good to see you" I realized I had said this in my head, but I had heard it as if I had said it out loud

again I spoke in my head. " I will see you again soon, my friend, no... My brother" this I thought with a smile, and I wondered if even through this gap, if he could hear me.
